Because we did another round of interviews for the third sons onwards of nobles who were unable to participate in the women’s interviews, we ended up accepting around twenty men and several women that Sylph and the Great Spirits approved of.
And with that, the number of human men increased in the Sanctuary too. Until now, it’s only been a few cases such as with Vanga-san and some married couples who relocated to the Sanctuary.
And the first group of immigrants already arrived, but sure enough, or I suppose unsurprisingly, there were those who tried to sneak into the Sanctuary.
Apparently, the teachers and staff approved for immigration were unaware of it.
Some had even tried to rig the carriage in order to sneak in, but they were thrown out of the Sanctuary the moment they tried to pass through the gate.
「So, how many spies were there in the end?」
「Hmmm~ I dunno. I didn’t count them one by one.」
「There were that many?」
When I heard about it, I tried asking Sylph how many tried to sneak into the Sanctuary, but didn’t care to count.
「That mole? Spy? Do you know what happened to them?」「Most of them had withdrawn to Wedgefort. A few of them returned to the Royal Capital.」

「We were inspecting the cargo that entered the Annexed District by carriage.」
「The cargo?」
For Undine and Selene to inspect the cargo themselves, it must be a serious matter.
「I know the immigrating children aren’t the issue, but there are good-for-nothing people everywhere.」

「……you have a point. If there’s no real harm in it then we can leave it as is?」
Neither people nor items that could harm us could be brought in, so I’ll just ignore it like they said.
It seems competition between nobles was common, and there were plenty of nobles who were jealous of the chosen individuals allowed entry to the Sanctuary because they themselves would never be able to.
In this way, I, too, must have been resented by the Noble Faction of Valkyra Kingdom. I suppose it wouldn’t be a mystery that they would take this chance to harass me.
The carriages filled with immigrating people will arrive one after the other, I wonder if they would need to help transporting their luggage
