Chapter 698 Her Time is Not as Important as His

After hearing her words, Fu Shihan’s feeling of irritation not only didn’t disappear, it intensified instead.

To Fu Shihan, her words sounded like she was scared but didn’t want to turn to him for help. She felt that complaining to him was a waste of his time, as if she was less important than his time in his eyes.

What had he done to give her such an impression?

Fu Shihan’s gaze turned somber. He remained silent, staying that way all the way home.

Su Wanxin could tell he was angry but didn’t dare to say anything, just carefully observing his mood.

"Go back," he finally said.

Fu Shihan glanced at her lit-up house, where Su Yao’s car was parked outside.

Su Wanxin nodded slowly and turned towards her house, looking back at him every three steps. Fu Shihan watched her enter the door before he started walking back to his own home.

Su Wanxin had returned late today; Su Yao had already prepared dinner and was sitting in the dining room playing Candy Crush waiting for her.

The incident that had happened during the day, Su Wanxin hadn’t planned on telling Fu Shihan, let alone mentioning it to Su Yao.

Otherwise, given Su Yao’s personality, it was plausible that she would confine Su Wanxin at home, forbidding her from going to work until the matter was sorted out.

After eating her meal, Su Wanxin thought about Fu Shihan’s anger and felt a bit uneasy. Noticing her distracted state, Su Yao asked with concern, "What’s wrong?"

"Should I go next door to see Fu Shihan?"

"??? No!" Su Yao was stunned for a moment before immediately refusing. "Why look for him so late?"

"To discuss something serious. He seems to be angry at me."

Upon hearing that Fu Shihan was mad, Su Yao’s eyes lit up with interest. "Tell me what happened? How mad did he get?"

Her expression was one of schadenfreude, which made Su Wanxin both laugh and cry.

"What’s gotten into Mr. Fu to be upset? Tell me so I can have a good laugh!"

Su Yao urged eagerly. After hearing that, Su Wanxin asked, "How about I call Lu Ci instead, so you both can be happy?"

Hearing the mention of Lu Ci, Su Yao snorted: "Then I’ll call mom and tell her about you and Fu Shihan!"

Su Wanxin frowned slightly. "Is it really okay for us to hurt each other like this?"

"...No, it’s not."

They looked at each other for a moment, then burst into laughter and collapsed onto the sofa to continue watching TV.

Su Yao wrapped her arm around Su Wanxin and whispered, "I thought Fu Shihan was completely accommodating to you and wouldn’t get angry. What’s he like when he’s mad?"

Su Wanxin thought about it seriously and replied, "Probably, just ignores me."

Otherwise, when they had returned earlier, he could have brought her with him, but he didn’t. He only told her to go home; it was clear that he didn’t want to talk much with her.

Su Wanxin couldn’t quite understand why he was so angry. Was it because she hadn’t called him?

But was there something wrong with what she had said? The incident had already happened; what use was there in calling him? Him hurrying over would have just been a false alarm.

With these thoughts persistently on her mind, Su Wanxin had trouble falling asleep at night.

Fu Shihan usually sent her messages to chat after getting home, but there was not a single word from him today, which made Su Wanxin feel a bit angry herself, considering him petty.

She didn’t sleep well all night, even had a nightmare, resulting in Su Wanxin arriving at the office the next day in a gloomy mood.

After the morning meeting, Chen Lei found an opportunity to quietly ask her if there was any progress with the incident from yesterday. Su Wanxin shook her head, yet she still had some guesses in her mind.
