Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance

Chapter 78. Eggs Hatching.

Chapter 78. Eggs Hatching.

Mira swiftly turned around as she wondered what must have broken.

Meanwhile, Ray saw a small clawed foot of the wyvern coming out of the membrane.

"Mira..." He said, drawing her attention toward him. "Get Mom and Emma here now."

Mira swiftly stormed out of the room in seconds and Ray heard her calling down the stairs.

Immediately , he could hear Helen’s voice and Emma’s footsteps running toward his room.

Within seconds, everyone had crowded the room and were now looking at the eggs.

Both of the eggs were moving now.

They continued to make struggling movements until the hatchlings inside the membranes pushed against their shells.

Seeing this, Emma pressed her hands to her mouth with her eyes glittering in excitement while Helen gasped in worry and curiosity.

Meanwhile, Mira leaned closer with a smile on her face, similar to that of Ray’s.

Everyone watched as the larger egg shuddered again as another piece of shell fell to the ground, then another....

And another.....

Now, the cracks continued to spread and fall with a sound similar to ice breaking until the egg split completely.

In front of everyone, a small creature tumbled out onto the wooden table, covered in wet membrane and birth fluids.

Seeing this, Emma squealed softly but she didn’t touch the little cub.

The Wyvern cub shook itself and the membrane fell away to reveal scales that shimmered like deep orange and red hue with hints of gold near the edges.

Small horns curved back from its head, with its base having a cream-color and a darkening toward the tips.

Its eyes opened slowly and everyone could see its orange colored irises shining with curiosity..

"Ember..." Emma whispered as she leaned closer to the little cub.

The little hatchling chirped in a soft, high-pitched sound.

Then, it wobbled on unsteady legs.

Its wings were still folded against its small leathery body but it seemed a bit translucent as it’s body had the morning light streaming through it from the window.

While everyone watched as the little cub began to get used to its new body, the second egg suddenly began to make a similar cracking sound.

Soon after, the egg cracked and split faster than the first egg.

The shell burst outward and the second hatchling emerged with a cooling and chill energy-like mist oozing out of the cracked shell.

Unlike the first egg, this one has dark colored scales with spiky ridges along its spine and edges.

Moments later, the two little hatchlings looked around the room with curiosity but Ray noticed his system screen appearing in front of him.

[Congratulations! You are now a Beast Tamer!]

[Two wyvern hatchlings have successfully bonded with you. Would you like to view their profiles?]

Ray thought ’yes’ in his mind and two status screens materialized in front of him.

Ray’s eyes widened as he read through both profiles.

’Woah, these little cubs are monsters.’ Ray uttered in his thoughts.

’Despite being day-old hatchlings, these two are actually strong enough to handle level 5 Awakeners on their own.’ Ray thought in amazement.

’There strengths are at 55?’

’That’s higher than most adults in this village.’

He paused when he realized something else too.

For beasts, as long as they kept eating healthy foods and were growing well, they could definitely level up naturally.

Unlike humans who needed to kill monsters to gain experience, beasts simply grew stronger with age and proper nutrition.

’One could only imagine how strong these two will be in a month... two months...and three months.’

Ray uttered in his thoughts before his attention got pulled back to reality by Emma’s excited voice.

"Ember!!"

The fire wyvern turned toward Emma with wide, curious eyes and Emma dropped to her knees before opening her arms.

Seeing this, Ember tried to walk forward but her legs were still wobbly from just hatching.

She stumbled and chirped in surprise before nearly tumbling to fall

Lucky for the little cub, Emma caught her gently and pulled the small wyvern into a hug.

"You’re so cute!" Emma said, with tears streaming down her face.

"I knew you’d be beautiful!"

"I’m so glad I chose you."

Ember chirped cutely again and nuzzled into Emma’s chest.

Her small tail curled around Emma’s arm and Helen smiled as she watched this.

She gently placed her hand over her heart while Mira laughed softly.

Meanwhile, Ray knelt down and reached toward the ice wyvern whose name was now Rime.

Rime looked at him with a bright, intelligent eyes.

The little hatchling didn’t move at first.

Instead, it just watched Ray’s hand approaching it gently.

It watched as Ray gently placed his palm on its head and Ray felt the cool, smooth texture of the dark scales.

The wyvern leaned into the touch and made a low rumbling sound, almost similar to a purr.

"Rime," Ray said softly and Mira looked at him curiously. "You already chose a name?"

Ray nodded. "Yeah. I decided before he hatched."

"Rime..." Mira repeated the name and noticed the chilling mist and cold atmosphere around the little Wyvern.

"I like it. It suits him." She said.

Meanwhile, the ice wyvern’s eyes brightened slightly as it heard the sound of its name, and Ray smiled as it noticed the little guy accepting its new name.

Watching all these, Helen suddenly realized something, then she clapped her hands together. "Alright, since the little guys just hatched, they must be hungry, so I’ll be back in a jiffy."

"I have to go get some milk."
