Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance

Chapter 72. Dream Walking {2}.

Chapter 72. Dream Walking {2}.

Aldric was a tall blonde man in bright armor easily cut through the demons with a casual efficiency as he outshone everyone else with his devastating and perfect attacks.

His attacks showed why everyone loved and respected him a lot in the kingdom.

Next to him was Viktor, a man dressed in mage robes. He was currently the strongest mage in the kingdom and Mira watched as the guy laughed maniacally while casting some spells on the demons in front of him.

The others did well also but they soon turned their attention to Ray, directing some demons toward him.

Actually, the demons directed toward him were anything but small.

They simply did this to watch him struggle against the demons while they stood back to watch him fight desperately for his life.

In the end, Ray managed to survive before dropping to his knees, but his heart clenched in pain as his breathing became difficult.

He couldn’t breathe properly and he could barely see anything in front of him because his mana had dropped to a very small amount and right now Ray had his hands and feet on the floor, gasping in fear to how he had almost died just now.

Meanwhile, Aldric and his friends laughed wholeheartedly before stepping out of the nest.

Moments later, Ray clenched his fist as he stood up and trailed behind them.

And so, the scene before Mira gently shifted into something else.

Now, years had passed and Mira could see Ray’s life compressed into different moments and sections ranging from where he would have training sessions to push himself to exhaustion while others barely noticed his hard work.

There were periods when he would try to do more in battles but couldn’t because his teammates had one reason or another to make fun of him.

Even when they were supposed to eat their meals together, Ray would be the only one eating separately from everyone else.

Even the rooms where he slept at night were at poor condition unlike the others and this was how Ray spent his time together with the elite warrior party.

Slowly, the scenery in front of Mira shifted once again,

Now, she found herself somewhere dark.

Looking around it seemed like she was inside a castle because she could see the stone walls and the torches flickering against the wall.

At the centre of the corridor, walking alone in the dark room, was Ray.

He was walking steadily because Aldric had summoned him.

He had been told that there would be a very important meeting happening today.

Ray didn’t know why they would be having a meeting so late in the night but he wasn’t against the idea of having the meeting because he assumed something important must have happened, hence why the meeting had been required to address the issue.

In front of Ray was Aldric, who was holding a torch that flickered with every step he took down the corridor.

"Where are we going?" Ray asked, noticing that they weren’t heading to their usual meeting spot but someplace else entirely.

"The meeting will be carried out in a different spot tonight to ensure confidentiality." Aldric replied and Mira noticed a fleeting smile on Ray’s face.

The twenty-five year old adult seemed pleased and proud to see how Aldric trusted him enough to have a very confidential meeting with the rest of the elite warrior’s party.

Surely there were hundred of warriors way stronger than Ray but none of them had been invited by Aldric to attend this meeting and this made Ray feel really special as he hastened his pace behind the blonde swordsman.

They descended the stairs, going lower and lower into the castle’s deepest levels.

The air down here was cold and the torches were sparse, allowing a huge portion of their journey downwards to be filled with darkness.

Luckily for them, Aldric was holding a torch which helped to brighten up a portion of where they could see while walking.

After a while, they finally reached a chamber at the bottom of the castle.

It was a large and circular room.

The moment Ray arrived at the center of the room, the floor magically glowed and tendrils shot out to pin him to the ground.

Mira watched as Ray struggled to free himself, but the more he tried, the tighter the magical chains wrapped around him, forcing him to groan in agony.

Standing in front of Ray with an evil grin ass Aldric and the blonde swordsman had an evil grin on his lips.

"Aldric!! What is the meaning of this?"

Aldric stepped closer and his grin grew wider as he spread his arms wide.

"Thank you so much, Ray."

"What the fuck are you thanking me for?"

"I’m talking about your sacrifice for a greater cause, of course."

"Sacrifice?" Ray asked and Mira watched as the two conversed while the rest of the elite warrior’s party slowly revealed themselves from different parts of the dark room.

Meanwhile, Ray noticed how no one bothered to stop Aldric and the dark magic that had pinned him to the ground.

It didn’t him too long to realized that everyone had planned this without him even realizing it until now.

Mira realized the same thing as well, and she watched as Ray continued to struggle in trying to free himself.

But the more he tried to do this, the more Ray could feel his soul being suck from him by the dark magic underneath him.

His essence got absorbed until his skull and flesh was as soft as a sponge, making it easier for Aldric to crush his skull to paste.

Mira forced her eyes closed and the vision in front of her turned blurry.

Reality bent and Mira watched as Ray’s consciousness regressed back to five years in the past, allowing him to wake up in his childhood bed in Thornsville.

Ray slowly looked around and to his hands, wondering how he should be alive when he had clearly just died a minute ago.

Moments later, Ray realized he had returned to the past.

Mira watched him lying in his bed with his fist clenched as he made a promise to himself not to make the same mistake twice.

He vowed to grow stronger and he was determined to get revenge on everyone that had made him feel like trash.
