Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance

Chapter 71. Dream Walking.

Chapter 71. Dream Walking.

Then that means carrying out his revenge was the only option Ray had left.

Realizing this, Ray plopped down on the bed before staring at the ceiling.

He knew confronting the elite party members and engaging in direct combat with them was definitely out of the question but Ray wondered if there were other ways he could slowly hurt them before finishing them when they were at their weakest and most vulnerable state.

A few ideas came to mind but Ray also recalled the warning about his newly acquired title and he acknowledged that if he embarked on that path, it could come with consequences.

But Ray was prepared to do whatever it took to succeed, but he was also determined not to get his family involved in his revenge as well.

If it were possible, Ray would have preferred not to involve Mira as well because he knew how dangerous things were going to be from now on and he would never forgive himself if anything were to happen to his beautiful Tauren girl, but since Mira was also a very stubborn demi-human herself, he knew there was no way he could convince her not to join him.

*Sighs*

"Let’s just call it a night." Ray uttered softly as he scooted closer to Mira who was already asleep.

His girlfriend slowly cuddled up to him the moment she sensed his warmth and Ray couldn’t help but smile as he patted her head and smooth back softly.

Mira mumbled cutely on his chest but Ray’s smile widened as he planted a kiss on her head while his other hand stroking Mira’s hair slowly curled into a fist.

If Ray hadn’t gotten himself involved with Aldric’s party in his first life, Ray probably wouldn’t have felt interested in his revenge.

But the truth was as clear as day, the people he trusted, respected and only ever wanted acknowledgment from had wronged him in the worst way imaginable.

And they were definitely going to pay for it.

’Every... Single..... One of them.’ Ray’s jaw clenched as memories from his first life flooded back into his mind.

Although, he didn’t want to think about them right now because he simply wanted to sleep next to his girlfriend and wake up the next morning, but the more he tried to avoid the memories, the more he kept remembering things he thought he had forgotten, and this caused him to feel even more angry.

It took him awhile, but Ray’s eyes eventually grew heavy and before he knew it, he had fallen asleep.

Meanwhile, Mira knitted her brow as the Harem Mark on her chest glowed faintly as memories of Ray’s previous life flooding into her mind to disrupt her dream.

Now Mira found herself in a small room she had never seen before.

It was a small and cramped room which had walls made of plain wood and it had little furniture like a narrow bed, a single chair and a small table.

Even her room in Thornsville was far better than the room in front of her right now, but Mira wondered what the hell was going on until she saw a young man sitting on the edge of the bed.

Although his face looked different but Mira recognized him immediately.

Ray’s face looked thinner, and the smiles she had grown used to seeing on his face had also vanished, almost as though he had suffered and lost the urge to live anymore.

Seeing this, Mira immediately tried to approach him but the door to Ray’s room suddenly opened and Mira was taken aback by the tall, beautiful lady that stepped into the room.

She was wearing a white robe that showed she was a member of the kingdom’s Church and cathedral.

The woman had a look of anger mixed with disgust as she stopped in front of him.

"Hey Void Walker, Aldric has a mission for us. There’s a demon nest two days north of here and we need you to carry our supplies."

"Ray stood up immediately with his eyes staring at the floor as he replied. "Yes, Lady Elise." His fingers slowly curled into a fist as he wondered why his team members took pleasure in watching him suffer with the tasks they keep giving him.

Item box was more than enough to keep the items and materials Aldric and his party would be needing for their travel, but none of them had the interest in using this artifact because they would rather see Ray suffer in carrying their belongings so that they could have a convincing reason to beat him up if any of their stuffs got broken, crumpled or destroyed.

Ray gritted his teeth as he realized this but in the end, there was nothing he could do about it, aside from nodding and doing as he was ordered to do.

"Good. But don’t embarrass us this time like you did the last time" Elise said as she continued. " Because you were completely useless on our last mission. So, if you know you can’t contribute meaningfully to our party in this mission, then you should at least stay out of everyone’s way. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Lady Elise."

Elise stared at him for a while before leaving without saying another word.

Ray simply stood in the empty room for a moment before sitting back down on the bed and putting his face in his hands.

Mira was still in the room as well, and she could feel how angry and ashamed he was.

But above all, she could also feel how determined he was to prove to himself and to the elite team that he wasn’t as useless as they all think he was.

Ray gritted his teeth as tears streamed down his cheeks but the scene changed right after.

Now Mira noticed she was in a battlefield.

Well, looking around, she realized she was in a demon’s nest with dangerous creatures pouring out of a dark cavern.

The Hero party was here as well and each of them were busy battling against three or four demons at the same time while Ray fought at the edges of the cave, away from where he would do anything to piss off his party members.
