Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Hello, So Unconscionable
If he weren’t worried about making the atmosphere too tense, Ryan Taylor would have rushed up to drag Evelyn Taylor home and give her a good talking to for being increasingly disobedient.
Throughout all this, Easton Holmes remained silent, not only not speaking up but also without any reaction, his eyes never leaving the state of his wine glass.
"Big brother! What are you staring at the wine glass for? There’s no sister-in-law in it." Seeing the atmosphere becoming a bit stiff, Thomas Fisher was thinking of a way to liven things up when he suddenly noticed Easton Holmes sitting there like a sculpture, and an idea struck him instantly.
Although Easton’s eyes were fixed on the wine glass in his hands, his ears were attentively listening to the commotion over here. He hadn’t missed anything that just happened; he just didn’t want to get involved.
"Do you believe there’s gold in this wine glass?"
Upon hearing Thomas talking to him, Easton slowly raised his head, shifting his gaze from the wine glass to Thomas.
"Sperm?!"
Easton’s articulation was clear, and Thomas’s hearing didn’t have any impairment; his sudden outburst was purely deliberate.
While Easton remained indifferent, Ryan, sitting beside Thomas, had already shot him a glare, "You little brat! Can’t you watch your mouth? Evelyn is still here."
When being scolded, he got another glare from his buddy.
"Haha! My mouth slipped accidentally."
These few guys usually joked around when together, and Thomas momentarily forgot about Evelyn’s presence, blurting it out without thinking.
Actually, Ryan was too worried; Evelyn was already a twenty-six-year-old adult. It’s not like she hadn’t heard adult conversations before.
Ryan glanced at Thomas but didn’t say much more. His gaze shifted to Evelyn, and seeing her mood a bit more relaxed than before, he felt slightly relieved.
"Let’s continue drinking!"
Worried that Thomas might blurt out something unreliable again, Ryan skillfully changed the subject, turning his head to look at the two brothers who were holding his arms, "Do you plan to hold me like this all night?"
One on each side, like he was the bad guy?
"If it makes you happy, Thomas and I would be very willing to serve you," Thomas pretended not to hear the discontent in Ryan’s words, and instead of letting go, he tightened his grip on Ryan’s hand.
This move did not receive Benjamin Shaw’s support. He saw that Ryan was not as angry as before and thought Ryan wouldn’t flare up at Evelyn like he had just done, so he withdrew his hand, leaving the nonsense to Thomas on the other side.
Ryan raised his arm to shake off the hand still holding him, casting a disdainful glance at its owner, "Even if you’re willing to serve me, I’m not happy."
With that, he got up and returned to his previous seat.
"Second brother! You have no heart."
Thomas furrowed his brows in dissatisfaction at Ryan’s disdain, yet showed no signs of anger.
"Brothers! Do you want to continue drinking?"
They were treating her like air again; weren’t these guys paying too little attention to this beauty here?
Evelyn Taylor picked up her wine glass and tapped it on the coffee table, voicing her protest to the four men, and venting some of her internal grievances.
