As Lily Turner was leaving the compound, Alice Turner hadn’t arrived yet. After waiting for about ten minutes at the entrance, her sister finally caught a taxi and made it over.

Seeing that Alice took a taxi, Lily was full of questions, "Why did you take a taxi? Where’s your car?"

She stood outside the car, bending over to look at her sister sitting inside.

"Get in the car first." Alice opened the car door on Lily’s side, gesturing for her to get in before discussing anything else.

Lily was puzzled but she crouched and got into the car, and as soon as she sat down, she asked again, "What’s going on?"

If she had known her sister was taking a taxi to pick her up, she would not have asked her to come; she could have just taken a taxi herself to their meeting spot.

"Driver! Xiangman Zhai!" Alice instructed the driver before turning to look at Lily, "Thomas Fisher took my car."

She didn’t lie to her sister; there was no reason to hide anything from her, especially since her sister already knew about her situation with him.

"Oh."

Upon hearing that her sister’s car was taken by Thomas Fisher, Lily just softly replied without any surprise or doubt.

But she had questions about other things. Glancing at the driver in the front, she lowered her voice and asked, "Does Thomas know about your divorce?"

The divorce was good news not just for her sister; it should also be something that would make Thomas happy.

Alice shook her head, "He doesn’t know yet."

If he had answered the call earlier, she wouldn’t be with her sister right now.

"Sis! I’m so happy for you."

Unaware of all the details, Lily didn’t ask further, happily holding onto Alice’s arm. But when she thought about the Turner and Shaw family elders, she became worried again, "Have you figured out how to tell Mom and Dad?"

The Shaw family didn’t concern her much, but she couldn’t avoid worrying about her own parents.

Hearing Lily mention their parents, Alice couldn’t help but sigh, "I plan to tell them in a few days; I’m not ready yet."

Her mom already knew about the divorce, which made things easier, but her dad was another matter.

Her dad had pushed hard for the marriage, enthusiastically even, and if he found out they were divorced, he’d definitely be furious.

Alice patted the hand holding onto her arm, nodding gratefully, "Don’t worry too much. Anyway, we’re already divorced. Knowing won’t change anything now. I’ve made my decision; this time, I will take charge of my own life."

Her marriage had been controlled by her family once; going forward, she wanted to have the say in her own relationships.
