Easton Holmes originally took ten days off for his wedding, but last night Jaxon Dyer’s wife Bella Carter went into the hospital to deliver a baby, forcing him to end his leave early and return to the unit to oversee work.
"Did your sister call you for something?" During the day, being stuck at the camp and unable to see his wife already made him uncomfortable, and now coming home at night and still not seeing her, he wasn’t having it; definitely not.
"Of course it’s something, I’m not telling you. My sister is coming over soon, hanging up." After Lily Turner finished speaking, she immediately hung up the phone. After hanging up, she walked outside the living room but before she reached the door, she heard the phone ringing again.
She had a hunch that it was Easton Holmes calling, glanced at the phone, and did not go back to answer it; she turned around and left the living room, heading upstairs.
Thinking Lily was in the living room, Auntie Li didn’t pay attention at first, but when the phone rang repeatedly, she sensed something was off and quickly put down the cloth in her hand and walked towards the living room.
Once in the living room, she realized that Lily Turner’s figure was already gone, so she hurriedly went over to pick up the phone.
"Hello!" Auntie Li answered the phone.
Hearing Auntie Li had picked up, Easton Holmes immediately asked, "Where’s Lily? Did she already go out?"
His wife always acts this way when she meets her sister, decisively leaving him aside every time.
"Is Lily going out? I didn’t see her going out. She should tell me if she’s planning to." Auntie Li was puzzled, not knowing what was going on.
Hearing Auntie Li say this, Easton Holmes immediately gave his instructions, "Go upstairs and check if she’s there. If she hasn’t gone out, tell her to call me back."
She mustn’t have left; otherwise, people in the house would know.

Auntie Li hung up the phone and immediately left the living room to go upstairs.
Meanwhile, Lily Turner was changing clothes in her room. While changing, she suddenly heard Auntie Li knocking on the door.
"Lily! Are you in there?" Auntie Li asked loudly while knocking on the door outside.
"I am, what is it?" Lily replied without stopping her dressing, multitasking without an issue.
Auntie Li truthfully relayed, "Easton asked you to call him back."
"I know, I’ll call him back in a bit." Lily said she would call back, but she wasn’t planning to. If she called, he would just chatter on and on, and she might never get out.
Today was her sister’s big day of celebrating singlehood, she had to go and celebrate with her; no one could stop her.
Auntie Li didn’t know what was on Lily Turner’s mind. After passing the message, she went downstairs to do her own tasks.
Lily Turner quickly finished changing. She specifically picked a hooded jacket today so she wouldn’t need shades once she went out; the big hat would suffice.
She wore the hat and checked in the mirror; once she was sure it could conceal sufficiently, she grabbed her handbag and left the room.
"Lily! Are you heading out?" Seeing Lily Turner looking ready to go, Auntie Li quickly approached to ask.
"Yes! My sister is waiting at the courtyard gate; you don’t have to make dinner for me today. When Grandpa returns, let him know." After saying this, Lily waved goodbye to Auntie Li and walked out of the house confidently.
