Chapter 95: The Rough Way Part II
Chapter 95: The Rough Way Part II
“HUH?!!!” The shocked one yelled aloud, drawing every eye in the café to their table, troubling Maysa to bow her head as an apology to the other guests. Then she turned back at him again, before landing a fist on his round head one time.
“What did you yell for? Uncle Wiroch?!” She scolded.
“Leave my father alone.” He creased his mouth. “Wait, hold on, what does this mean?! Na has a crush on your friend? He knows you outside the game, too? I’m so confused right now.”
“No, it’s not like that!” The small voice drawled wearily. “This girl is Wisana’s real-life friend. And I just met him later in the game.”
“Oh.”
“And I have to remind you that she can’t know that Vincent is actually Wisana.”
“What? Why?”
“It’s just your bro. He doesn’t want his friends to know that he plays the game, too. And I have to skip that detail because it’s so nonsense that I don’t want to talk about it again.”
“What?!” The curious one was fully doubted.
“Let’s just don’t talk about Wisana in front of her. You know her as my friend, and she knows Wisana by the name of Vincent. That’s all.” The conclusion made Manoch scratch his face.
“That’s complicated...”
“It wasn’t this complicated at first, but our boss made it like this,” Maysa complained, before putting the last bite of the cake in her mouth.
“Anyway, my friend’s heart is already broken, isn’t it?” His words made Maysa, who just swallowed the last bite of cake, glance at him. She drank some water.
“Who are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about you, May.” He smiled widely. “If Na already has someone he likes, it means that you’re the one to be disappointed, right?”
PHUDD!!
The water that used to be in her mouth was now splashing all over the one sitting at the other side of the table. Manoch frowned as he was wiping it off his face.
“What are you saying, Ae?!” Maysa yelled, her cute face blushing all over to the ears.
“I don’t know about anything else now, except for my face is soaking.” The young merchant grabbed a napkin to wipe it off.
“Hold on, I need to make it clear about this. How many times have I told you that Wisana and I are just friends? Why can’t you understand?!”
“Well, it just looks suspicious,” Manoch muttered. “You seem to be clingy close to him all the time. If this was some other guy, you’d probably chase them away a long time ago. But what’s the reason why you let Wisana skinship with you like this?”
“I told you it was nothing!”
“Yeah, that sounds like what the type of girl who ‘loves but doesn’t show it’ would say. Even though you act like you don’t feel anything when you’re around him, I still notice that you’re blushing sometimes, too. Some people might find your style attractive, but won’t it be too late, if you just wait for Wisana to know about your feelings later?” His words did a very good job of making her cheeks turn red. Eventually, the little one could not stand it anymore. So, she got up and stood on the seat to get her eyes on the same level as his, before the tiny hands yanked on his collar and shook harshly.
“’Loves but doesn’t show it’, your hat!” Maysa bawled out. “There’s nothing going on between me and him. Everything I do is what’s necessary for the game.”
“Yeah?!” The annoying one laughed. “Then, when you let him sleep on your lap was counted, too?”
“You saw that?!”
“I was drunk, not blind.” Manoch deepened his voice, as he was curling up an evil smile. “See? You’re blushing again, my friend.”
The one who got teased covered her face immediately, before taking out a mirror to check if it was really red. Maysa being freaked out made the teaser burst out a loud laugh. Damn, May was still May. He had known her since they were little, why would he miss this about her?
Her reaction was the ‘loves but doesn’t show’ truly!
“You seem to be overreacting, lady innocent Maysa.” Of course, he would never let such an opportunity just pass by. So, he kept on teasing her, making the other one gasp. And before she could realize it, she had fallen into his trap that those chubby cheeks had gone red many times already.
“Damn you, Ae!” The little one started throwing punches at him. But with a five-year-old’s strength like this, Manoch felt more amused than hurt. Then the man strokes her hair, while he was shaking from holding in the laugh.
“There, there, don’t cry. Brother Ae will teach you about love.”
“You jerk! Die!” The more he spoke, the more it made Maysa lose it. A satisfied laugh came from him after he successfully got on her nerves.
“Er... you’re Maysa, right?” Suddenly, there was a sweet voice of someone greeting them, making the girl pause. She glanced her grey eyes at the voice, creasing her mouth in displeasure from getting interrupted.
“I was told you were in a kid’s body, because of some item’s effect, weren’t you?” The other one was not quite sure, so she asked again softly. Maysa nodded to confirm it to her, not forgetting to point a finger at Manoch, implying she was not done with him, yet.
“It’s me.” She smiled at the newcomers. “Have a seat, Warunya and, er...friends.”
The gunner greeted the girl who had a pretty face with cute big round eyes. She was smiling gently before her fair hand pushed her black hair off her face.
“Sorry that you have to meet up with me in this place. My friends have some business in the city.” Warunya said, pointing her hand at her two friends.
“This is Nuchjaree.” She pointed to another girl who had a cute face, her big round eyes matched with the delightful smile she was giving them.
“Hello.”
“Hi, Maysa. You can just call me Nuch. You still look cute in this body, even though I don’t really like kids that much.” Her words made Maysa smile wryly before her grey eyes glanced at another man. He looked casual with messy golden-brown hair. And after he realized he was being watched, he just casually waved at them in greeting.
“And this one’s Tunwa.”
“Just Tun is fine, too, cutie.” He said before he winked, making Maysa laugh at it.
Because Maysa was sure this guy was definitely best friends with Wisana, judging from how he acted, and their characteristics were very similar. Even their faces were as good looking as each other, too.
“What about Vincent? He didn’t come, too?” Warunya asked with a hopeful smile. She was looking around the café like she was expecting him to be there somewhere.
“Oh, no, he didn’t,” Maysa answered, catching eyes with Manoch knowingly.
“Is that so?” The girl sounded disappointed. So, she gave them a dry smile, before taking a seat as she was invited to.
“So, you said you wanted to talk to me about something.”
“Yes, there’re many things that I want to tell you.”

Far away from Thristan, the northern route was shady green with various trees. The trail was surrounded by beautiful views, fitting perfectly for sightseeing. The warm breeze of the early spring was blowing softly, making the leaves rustle into melodious rhythms.
Along the way, there were cute little monsters like those harmless rabbit-teeth squirrels and of Gont slimes of different colors, bouncing up and down together. No matter how you look at it, this area was very peaceful, and the most suitable for relaxing for sure.
“WAAAARGH!!!”
However, there still was a scream of terror coming to ruin it. After the scream, there were heavy footsteps, coming in a steady rhythm like when a big animal was running to chase after something.
“What the hell is this?!”
