Chapter 94: The Rough Way Part I

Chapter 94: The Rough Way Part I

CLINK!

“Welcome to Meow Meow Café!”

After the bell at the front door rang, the waitresses shouted in unison to welcome the customers walking in. Small cafes like this were quite popular in Tristan. Especially this Meow Meow Café that seemed to be the most popular one. However, the reason was not about the taste of the coffee or the strawberry cheesecake, which was better than anywhere else.

This café was famous for a completely different reason.

“Damn, if she bends down just for a little.” An exciting voice with a dreamy smile came from a table by the window.

“Whoa! God, it’s pink. My eyes are blessed.” The same guy said, sounding happy about the... well, what else could he be happy about, except for seeing something beautiful that he could not stop grinning at? Because the waitress’ costume here was a short maid dress, and this was the fifth time that he saw something so pleasant to his eyes like this!

“You’re so disgusting, Ae. At least try to hide it.” The small voice said with a hint of annoyance in her tone, the cute round eyes were goggling at him, and her teeth bared.

“Hey, a show’s supposed to be watched, May,” Manoch argued with a clear voice. “You think this café is the best seller, because of the cake and the coffee? You’re wrong, little one!” He finished, then pointed to the waitress in a tiny maid costume again. “That’s the café best known for. Look at the fluttering maid skirt, the sweet voice, and how they act to be accidentally flashing their panties for the customers, too. Oh, what kind of paradise is this place.”

His words kept coming out, making Maysa look around the café. Then she could sum it up that about 80% of the guests here were all trash men, just like Manoch!

“Man, that’s your mother’s gender, too, Ae. Respect women more.” She could not help but scold her friend.

“This is how I respect them when they’re showing it on purpose like this,” Manoch replied, showing his teeth in a smile. The other shook her head harshly.

“Here, strawberry cheesecake and the coffee you ordered." Then, there was a sweet voice of a waitress coming up, making them turn to look at her. Especially the glasses merchant, who grinned widely, while he was looking at the red-haired girl placing the cake and glasses of water on the table.

“Let me help you.” The man purposely handled the cup of coffee in the other’s hand, making her fair face turn to look at him shyly.

“Thank you so much.”

“You’re welcome. I just didn’t want your hands to hold these hot cups for too long. That’s all. I want you to preserve them for touching my cheeks instead.”

“Aw, mister customer, I...!” And that waitress just ran off with a deep red face, the act that made the five-year-old girl’s face twitch. She bared her teeth at the man sitting across from her when she saw him holding up both of his hands to smell with ecstasy.

“To be honest, I’m so creeped out by you, Ae.”

“Leave me alone. Na always gets all the girls, but he’s not here right now. So, let me have my moment.”

“Disgusting.” Maysa clenched her teeth angrily before her tiny hand pulled the cake to herself and scooped it into her mouth continuously.

“Why did you ask me to come to this kind of café, though?” Manoch asked, even though his eyes were still on the red-haired waitress.

“Nothing just wanted to have some cake.”

“Nonsense! You’ve never asked me to go eat anywhere before. Are you being possessed, or what?!”

“Yeah.” The twin tails girl said just to shake him off, then she used a fork to cut a strawberry in half, putting it in her mouth. She got her chin up, chewing without minding him.

“You always complained you didn’t like being in a kid size.” Manoch saw the chance to nag at her. “But you seem happy eating the sweet like a kid. See? You can’t stop chewing.”

“Shut up, or I’ll stab you with this fork!” Seeing his childhood friend getting annoyed, he laughed, satisfied.

“Whatever. Just hurry and do what you have to do, because I have many appointments with my friends in the business field, too. I have to get them to sign a partnership contract with the guild. And I also have to post a notice about member applications as well.” Maysa looked at the glasses merchant with her grey eyes. She smiled widely as she was grabbing the glass of water to drink.

“Oh, you already have some plans.”

“Of course, I’m the head of finance, anyway. Money is my responsibility. For me, this battlefield is not any less vicious than yours.” The comparison made the girl laugh.

“You sure apply your personal skills in the game. But well, you just got accepted into the business administration faculty anyway. It’d be funny if you couldn’t handle this kind of thing.”

“Yeah!” He snorted in reply, while he was blowing on his hot coffee.

“What are you doing here though, seriously?” Maysa, who just stuffed another bite of the cake into her mouth, looked at her friend amusedly.

“Don’t be so impatient.” She said. “Come on, I know you’re excited about going out and discussing business with your friends. But I’m not going to be long, just meeting up with a friend here.”

“Who?”

“Well, you’ll know when they’re here.”

Her cheerful remark only made him wonder, so he responded with a sarcastic one.

“Why are you being such a cryptic, Miss Maysa?”

“I’m not! You wouldn’t know them if I told you, anyway!”

“Fine, fine.” Manoch agreed just to cut out the annoyance. “A girl or a guy?”

“A girl.”

Hearing the word girl, the mischievous merchant, who has a habit of randomly hitting on girls, wriggled his ears with interest immediately.

“For real? Is she cute?”

Maysa paused. The pair of grey eyes glanced at her childhood friend for a second, before she gave a cunning smile that made the other raise an eyebrow.

“Why? You’re smiling like that, she has to be ugly like a gargoyle for sure.”

“No, she’s not. She’s very pretty, just like an actress.” Maysa corrected him, her eyes sparkling.

“What, really?! Since when did you have a pretty friend? Normally, girls you hang out with always look so plain. Like, Nan is not much to look at, Aon is just unattractive, and especially Mod, who is aesthetically challenged.” The little one suddenly turned hostile at his words.

“I’ll tell all my friends that you talked crap about them. ...You think you’re so handsome, you mono-lid eyes!”

“Geez, it is the K-pop boy’s trend.”

“K what? Komodo dragon?!” Getting a harsh retort, the bad-mouthed one paused, shutting his mouth right away. The mono-lid eyes behind the glasses goggled at his friend for a few seconds.

Damn, this little one’s mouth still functions fully well, what a brat!

“Alright, so, this friend of yours is pretty, right?” He kept on asking.

“Yeah, she is pretty. Very.” Maysa still insisted on the same answer.

“Hey, then can you give me her contact? Just in case, she might like a cool, stylish man, like me.” Manoch said with an enthusiastic act that made the other burst out a loud laugh. She then shook her head, fatiguing with her party’s habit.

“Sure, I will.”

“Really?! You can’t take that back later, you know?”

“Yeah.” She affirmed clearly. “But you’ll get killed by your bro, Wisana.”

“Huh?” The single eyelid man did not quite understand what the girl was saying.

“What do you mean? What does your friend have something to do with Na?”

“She does. This girl is Wisana’s crush.”

“HUH?!!!”
