Chapter 724: I’ll Revolt Against the World! Part III
Chapter 724: I’ll Revolt Against the World! Part III
“What’s the condition, Leonard?”
Wisana looked at Sarquros. Even though he could not see her face clearly, she did not look as painful. Her HP dropped so much, but it was not that fatal. The wound on her back was the only thing they should worry about.
“She’s recovered a lot,” Leonard said while offering tea to Thada and Rattana. “I don’t have healing magic, so I can only stop the bleeding and give her first aid. I’m not her master, so I can’t give my power to her either. The blood’s stopped and her HP was stable. The wound on her back is a big one. Mistress Samie’s wings were cut. I’m not sure if they can regenerate.”
Hearing that, Wisana frowned. He wanted to touch her back, but he was afraid that he would hurt her.
“Has she been asleep the whole time?” Wisana asked.
“Yes, like a log. Mistress Mona Lisa seems to be the same, so they’ve been sleeping together here.”
Wisana glanced at another girl. The little Mona Lisa was sleeping next to her mother. Her parted lips and her moving chest were signs that she was sleeping soundly.
“Just let them be.” Wisana smiled.
“I agree,” Rattana said after a big gulp of tea. “If they’re awake, they’d definitely ask to go with you.”
“With this condition, it wouldn’t be good,” Thada said.
“You’re right.” Wisana nodded and turned to Lala, who was still screaming at Sander. “Lala, you guys have been hiding here for the past three days?”
“Yes? Oh, yes. After you went offline, we’ve always been here.”
Lala turned to him. Sander finally got a chance to sneak out of her.
“Any movement?”
Everyone knew that he was referring to Lucius.
“Nothing.” Lala shook her head wearily. “Since then, Lucius and his men were gone. I didn’t want to go out far. Ms. Samie’s still in a bad state. That’s why I think being here is the best.”
Wisana looked at the girls on the bed again. It was apparent that they were not ready for any kind of fight. He leaned down and kissed his daughter’s cheek and did the same with Sarquros.
“It’s good that you’re still okay.” Wisana smiled slightly. “Rest to the fullest, my crazy ladies. I can’t possibly give my power to you since my fight hasn’t ended yet. Wait for me and I’ll come back to make you fly in the sky again.”
He stroked Sarquros’s smooth cheek and stood up.
He looked at everyone around the room.
“You got the whereabouts?” Wisana asked Rattana.
“Yes.” Rattana smiled. “They’re not far away from here. It seems like other than Lucius, there’re Miguel and Aaron who are still able to move. The rest of them are still under recovery.”
“Good.”
Wisana said before finishing his tea as if it was not hot at all. He flicked his hand and a black robe appeared on him. It was the robe with Nemesis, the God of Punishment, at the back.
That signal got everyone standing up. The GMs finished their tea in the same manner and flicked their hand to call the same robe up. Sander also had it on already.
“I’ll leave here to you, Lala, Leonard.”
Wisana said smoothly. He looked outside and saw that the rain had died down.
He turned to his three warriors and nodded at them with a smile.
“Let’s go and end this war.”
----------------
The sky was so dark without the moonlight and the rain was still falling. The red-haired man was sitting peacefully on a small rock in front of the cave that was used for a temporary shelter.
He looked up at the sky as if he was thinking about something. This man had been sitting like this for the past three days. The war was so much that there were a lot of things for him to think about.
Even though everything went as planned...
...Why was he not happy about it at all?
“Lucius.”
A low voice sounded from behind.
He glanced back and saw a man and a woman walking towards him with a straight face. It was the blue-haired man Aaron and the tanned girl Miguel.
“How’s everyone doing?”
The red-haired man asked without turning around.
The man and the woman looked at each other before Aaron scratched his head.
“Stable. They’re at the last stage of recovery now. They should wake up tomorrow.”
Lucius did not reply with either his words or facial expression. It was as if it was only a manner to ask. Aaron sighed softly.
“How long are you going to sit there, Lucius?”
“....”
Lucius did not say anything. Miguel, then, added.
“We should get back to the Dark Zone as soon as possible.” She said with a serious tone. “We’ll be able to heal them faster there. Scarlet’s condition isn’t good at all since she was killed while being the seal. A normal recovery does nothing and you know it, Lucius.”
“I know.”
The short reply stopped all the voices.
No one said anything after that. It seemed like the red-haired man was still looking at the endless rain.
“How can you be so calm?!”
Seeing the ignorance, Miguel was about to burst, but the faster one was Aaron, who raised his hand to stop her. He shook his head as if to say that “It’s better to not interrupt this man right now.”
“I know how you feel about having to deal with Viola, Lucius,” Aaron said smoothly. “But we still have a lot to do, my friend. Scarlet sacrificed herself for the plan and you should care about her more. More importantly, we have to rush back to disassemble the Key of Forbidden and you know that...”
“Aaron.”
Finally, Lucius said with a low voice. His eyes were still fixed on the sky. The powerful voice shut Aaron up immediately.
“I’m the one who decides what to do next, understood?”
He said. Aaron could only sigh and shake his head.
“Lucius, you know how important this plan is to us, right? Did you forget what we have to sacrifice for it?” Aaron continued. “We have to step forward, my friend. There’s no gain without losing anything, Lucius. Not only dealing with the sin, but the living also must be responsible and carry on the wish of the parted. You know it well.”
“Yes, I know.”
The man and the woman went quiet. Eventually, Aaron sat down on the rock beside Lucius wearily.
“Not only you, Lucius. All of us are so exhausted that we can barely raise our arms.” Aaron said. “That’s why we should stop here for now. We should go back to the Dark Zone and rest as much as we can before we continue.”
Again, Lucius was so ignorant as if he did not care about anything anymore.
The red eyes stared further away. No one could figure out what he was thinking. No one would be able to learn the feeling that he was having right now.
He carried too many fates on his shoulders...
Once he did something, he would be the only one who was in grief.
Aaron and Miguel glanced at each other. They did not know what to do since Lucius did not seem to want to move as if he was waiting for something. Something that could push him forward.
Even though everything went smoothly as planned...
...Yet, Lucius did not feel like a winner at all!!
“Not for long, Aaron, Miguel.”
Suddenly, a low voice sounded. Aaron and Miguel halted.
“What do you mean?” Miguel asked.
“I can feel that he’s here in Pride. He’s coming for us.”
No one understood him. Aaron stood up and narrowed his eyes to look at the red-haired man.
“Who is it?”
“That boy who’s still wet behind the ears.”
CRASH!!
Right after that, something crashed on the ground in front of all the Cores. The smoke was so thick that Aaron and Miguel had to cover their faces. As for Lucius, he only glanced at it and smirked.
Nobody said a word until the smokes were dissolved by the rain. The first image that they saw was four familiar people with the same black robe.
Especially the man in the forefront with threatening amber eyes.
“...Vincent?”
