Chapter 70: The 4th Member Part IV

“Look, Mister Manoch...” he said, grabbing on the other one’s collar firmly. “I’ve got to admit that you’re so brave for asking such a thing directly to my face. But I’m gonna let this one go since it’s the first time you did this. And you really don’t want to find out about how I’ve dealt with those who tried to hit on my sisters through many years, right?”

“R... right, sir,” Manoch said as he was gulping down, getting an evil smile on the other’s face from seeing this.

“That’s good, little bro. If you still want us to continue getting along, do not flirt with my sisters ever again. You hear me?” Wisana said with a cold voice before he slapped on the forehead of the younger one softly. “And don’t call me in-law. It pisses me off!!”

“Yes, sir!!” Seeing the other being so obedient made him smile so widely with satisfaction.

“Also, go find me another outfit. This one is almost right, but it’s still a bit bulky.”

“Sure, bro. I’ll get the right one for you!!” Manoch promised loudly, at the same time that the hand on his collar was loosened. Wisana smiled delightedly like he had not just threatened someone. He handed the clothes back and walked out of the room, leaving the bold-mouthed behind.

Wisana in possessive mode was scary like hell!

And Manoch still wanted to enjoy his life, so he swore to himself that he would never lay an eye on his sister anymore!!

“Coming.” Wisana got back with a bright smile that would make everyone who watched it from the start drop a sweat.

“What happened there, Na. Why were you guys so loud.”

“Nothing happened, really. We’re just talking about attending the award ceremony in the evening.” Waree nodded in acknowledgment before she noticed Manoch peeking out in the back. Then she smiled and waved at him in greeting. But somehow the man got pale, bringing himself back to the room immediately, making the pretty girl lose her confidence a bit.

Because she did not see that apart from her friendly look, there was also a threatening gaze from Wisana as well!

Well, her brother was being obviously possessive of her like that, who would have dared to hang out with her now?!

“What’s wrong with your friend?” Waree said, sounding so confused.

“Nothing. He’s just shy,” he brushed it off, sneakingly letting out a chuckle. “I forgot to ask. Why are you so skilled? Have you been playing the game since you were in the U.S.?”

“Yes, I played the Pride when I was in the U.S., on an international server, not Thai’s. I requested to transfer my character with me, too. Only the character could be moved to the new server though, I have to leave all my items there. That explains why I’m in such a shabby outfit like this.”

She said as she was looking down on her clothes, which really were shabby just like she said, making the man giggle with endearment again.

“That explains why you’re so good, too. You even won the fight against 8 players by yourself.”

“It’s nothing. I still can’t compare with you who defeated Lord Inferno though,” Waree teased sweetly. “Anyway, I was there, too, when you were fighting the boss.”

“Really?”

“Yup, but I stayed from afar. I had just been transferred to a Thai server that day, so I just joined it to observe. I didn’t really think that it was you.” She winked. “But to be honest, you were so cool. I would have fallen for you if you weren’t my stepbrother.”

The honest compliment made the listener flush and look away immediately.

“Y... yeah?”

“Yup! You’re already cool in real life, but even cooler in the game.”

Waree kept complimenting him with great admiration, and that got the brother feeling awkward now. If Nam saw behind the fighting scene, would she still think of him the same way? Then the rewind started in his head, starting from when he was being chased by the hell green mushroom to when he was chased by the doggos, and to when he was running for his life from Lord Inferno.

No, he better not tell Waree about these! Or the image of the coolest brother she was having would be torn down to pieces!!

“So, what’s your plan for the evening? Are you going to show up there like the GM’s expecting?” He sighed at her questions.

“Yeah, I’m going to attend the ceremony.”

“You’re attending as Vincent?”

“Yes.” Wisana nodded. “Do you think I’m crazy for covering myself up and letting it become a big issue like this? But I want you to understand that I did it because it was necessary. I don’t want...”

“I understand. You don’t have to say anything more,” Waree cut him off, smiling at him so sweetly. “It was your right to do it. You didn’t break any rules anyway. So, don’t blame yourself for all this. Also, Pride is a fantasy world that is completely different from the outside world. There are so many people who want to forget the chaos outside for a while by enjoying the adventures here like you as well, right?”

The comforting words made him look up to catch the pair of bright big eyes of Waree, who was placing her hand on his arm gently to cheer him up.

“Also, you’ve made the Pride world more interesting, too. Did you know that?”

“Me?”

“Yes. This is a fantasy world, and you’re the one who makes it more interesting. You’re interesting. That’s why there are more people that are interested in this surreal world. And who’s going to blame you for anything? Do you agree?”

Wisana did not reply. He was just staring deep into her green eyes and the moving pink lips as she talked before they curled up into a sweet smile.

“You sound like you really love the Pride, Nam,” he said, smiling.

“Yes, I do love it, ...love it the most, actually.”

Waree said. But Wisana could feel some sadness hidden in her usual gentle voice. Her emerald eyes looked down for a second before she changed the topic so quickly.

“And I love the one who makes it more fun and interesting as well.” She grinned widely. “So, you just do whatever you want. It’s a fantasy world here, so don’t hang on to realism too much. I don’t want you to lose the fun in here.”

Hearing that, Wisana put on a slight grin along with her words.

Well. If he was not wrong, her grandfather was one of the Pride board members and one of the founders of the company with some friends. So, Wisana was not so surprised, if she would love the game so much. Because she was growing up with the world.

The brother grinned, patting her shoulder softly.

“I will! Not sure how far I can go through, still I’ll do my best, okay?” He held up his fist, acting so bold like a child. Waree let out a chuckle.

“Good job! Now, how’s Mister Vincent party going to make an official debut to the public? Would you mind sharing the plan with the hero’s sister?”

“The plan?” He repeated, holding up a hand to his mouth as he thought.

“Well, first, we’re going to found a guild.”

“A guild?”

“Yeah. My friend is working on it now. She said that we had to find a guild and change our clothes. That’s why I’m here in the store.”

“I see,” Waree muttered. “So, you need to change your look to fool people that you’re so pro?”

“Yes, but don’t use the word fool. I’m just trying to look as pro as they think I am. That sounds better.” Wisana smiled as he tried to defend himself duly, getting another laugh from her.

“And you’re founding a guild, too.”

“Uh-huh.” This time, the brown-haired girl made a noise in her throat, sounding like ‘Um’ as she nodded in understanding something.

“I think I can see what you guys are up to now.”

CLING!

The bell at the door rang for a second, interrupting their conversation. And behind the wooden door frame appeared a slender figure of a familiar gunner stomping into the store. It was obvious on her face that she was extremely pissed off. Her flaring grey eyes glanced around until they caught Wisana sitting on a couch. She stomped over to sit next to him right away.

“Hi, May. You’re back,” Wisana greeted.

“Hey,” Maysa drawled in reply.

“How did the guild founding go?”

“Done.”

“Like, the processes were already completed?”

“No.”

“Okay, I’m very confused now.”

Wisana was confused by Maysa’s frustration. Just her being unable to communicate properly looked bad enough. But her mood was at its worst right now, since she did not even notice that Waree was here, too. So, the stepsiblings were just blinking blankly at each other.

“Never mind, then. Tell me whenever you’re ready,” Wisana said as he shrugged.

“Would you believe this, Wisana? It was just a tiny problem, why couldn’t she just cut me some slack?!”

“Can you try making more sense?”

See, he just stepped one foot in, and she just blurted out some nonsense in a huge combo, despite acting like she was not in the mood to talk a second ago. The man only made a sour face at his friend’s habit. Unlike Waree who burst out a loud laugh.

“Sure. It’s the guild registration office that rejected our guild request and it’s very frustrating!”

“What? Why?”

“She said we didn’t have enough members. And there have to be at least 4 players to found a guild!”

“Shoot,” Wisana drawled. “What do we do now?”
