Chapter 699: Viola (End) Part I
Chapter 699: Viola (End) Part I
“Na, bring yourself together... Focus on living, Wisana!!”
Viola called him loudly and even slapped his face. There was still no reaction from her son. His amber eyes were opened so widely and vacant like a madman. Both of his pupils slowly narrowed. It was a bad sign for Viola.
“Alice, do something. His brain reaction is slowing down!” She shouted.
“I’m trying my best. However, his Signetic was way too much and it’s very difficult to slow it down. If he can’t control himself, I’m afraid we have to rush him to the PMC at the Pride office.”
“...But that way he has to be offline and his brain will...”
“That is possible. I’m doing my best, but I don’t know how long I can hold him. If he goes offline, his brain and maybe parts of his body will be affected. We might lose the key, but it’s better than leaving him to die. What do you think, Ms. Viola?”
Viola gritted her teeth and looked at her son’s face which did not look as tortured as before anymore since Alice was here to slow the Signetic flow down. However, he had to suffer from the effect of his nerves. Without a specialized injection, this would not end well.
Tears ran down Viola’s cheeks. She buried her face into her son’s chest and cried so pathetically like never before.
“Don’t do this to me... You have to believe in me, Wisana!!!”

“End this war, Sven?”
A low voice said while looking at the tall man on top of a worn-down building. The Black Bullet did not seem to fret. He even showed so much confidence that he was able to win.
“Don’t you think you’re too confident, Sven?” Lucius said. “Lavi, Marcus, and those who are better than you, I’ve dealt with them all without a sweat. What can an office man like you do?”
“I happen to be someone who doesn’t talk if I’m not confident.” Sven smiled. “It’s true that I’m not a good fighter as a monster like Lavi or that pig brain Marcus, but I’m definitely better in terms of strategy. Maybe I’m even better than Vincent.”
“What a mouth you have there.”
Lucius said with a stern voice. He pointed at Sven. A red energy gathered into a ball. The 7 Lady Warriors switched into a ready position.
However, Sven raised his hand to stop them.
“Calm down, Lucius.” He smiled. “You’ve come this far into my path, why don’t you wait a little longer?”
Then, Sven opened up the screen and grabbed something from it. Lucius narrowed his eyes.
“Do you see this?” Sven asked.
He lifted the thing up for Lucius to see. It was a golden crystal that shone brightly. It was a sacred crystal, the key to this war.
“And?” Lucius asked.
“Huh~ You’re slower than I thought.” Sven smiled. “Don’t you think it looks familiar?”
Hearing that, the red-haired man went silent. His brain was trying to figure out what this tricky boy was about to do. Then, he realized that the crystal was...
“The crystal of the alliance,” Lucius murmured.
“That’s correct!” Sven beamed. “Your crystal. Now, do you understand what the situation is?”
Lucius’s face clearly showed anger this time. As for Sven, he beamed and put the crystal back into his item box.
“You have no right to fight me anymore, Lucius,” Sven said. “According to the Challenge Rules, you have no right to join the war with armies that hold the crystal if you don’t have one. To make it simple, you lost.”
Lucius clicked his tongue with dissatisfaction.
That meant Sven had already dealt with William... You chicken shit!
This was not good. It was true that he had already gotten ‘The Key of Forbidden’, but his mission had not been complete with the last god standing. It would be too fast to withdraw now.
Tsk! Sven, you tricky little bastard. He had planned this much?!
“You do think I care, Sven? The rules don’t concern me in the first place.”
“You must care more for the GMs, right?”
Lucius pretended not to flinch by Sven’s words, but Sven knew it. The red-haired man went quiet.
“Do you think what you’re trying to do can deceive me? Do you think I don’t know why you joined the alliance? There’re only three kinds of people who are willing to be under William: crazy people, crazy people, and crazy people, that’s it.”
Then, Sven beamed and jumped to the ground. The 7 Lady Warriors followed him.
“Like I said, it seems like you’re not crazy, so there must be other reasons for it,” Sven said. “What I’m thinking is, first, you want the right to join this war to complete your plan. Second, it’s the best defense that the GMs can’t mess with because you haven’t broken any rule. You think your plan’s flawless? It’s not...”
Sven shook his head and smiled.
“Thada had foreseen this, too. The Challenge Rules may look shallow and only make those without the crystal feel discriminated against. However, it’s actually there to catch you. Thada’s certain that one of us four gods will definitely be able to acquire the crystal in time. Then, you’ll have no right here anymore. That man’s also confident that you won’t back down from the war as long as the gods are still alive. Am I right, Lucius?”
Lucius stretched his lips into a straight line.
He chuckled and turned to Viola. Seeing her trying her best to call Wisana back, he only felt pity.
So annoying...
Every one of them!!
Crash!!!
Suddenly, it was Lucius who initiated the fight. He shot the destructive beam out at Sven. Sven’s ruby red eyes narrowed a little before the two Lady Warriors, Tertie and Fridie, the siblings who were experts in defensive combat, raised their giant shield and magic shield up to protect their master.
“So, you don’t care what will happen next?”
Sven asked, looking at Lucius through the gap between the shields. They stared at each other as if they were reading minds.
“Actually, I can just run away now,” Lucius said. “Too bad that I still have another mission that I have to finish. I have to get rid of filthy trash.”
Sven sighed softly.
“It can’t be helped, then.” He said. “I’ll play with you. Maybe I’ll be able to open your eyes!”
Then, the rest of the Lady Warrior dashed out. They all had their own weapon. Lucius clicked his tongue.
Crash!!
Monday got to Lucius first. She slashed her giant sword with all her might. He could barely dodge it. The ground was parted.
Bang!!
The next one was Tueni. She used a musket, an ancient weapon. She shot at Lucius and he leaned back to evade.
“Tsk! He controlled these bitches so flawlessly? It’s not funny.”
Then, Satti, a light armored warrior dashed at him without any weapon. However, her fists were deadly.
The close-range combat got Lucius brushing off the enemy with both hands. Once he gave away an opening, a big magic circle was under his feet.
His ruby-red eyes were opened widely. He looked up and saw that another Lady Warrior was casting a spell.
“Shit!”
The Pillar of Inferno
In the blink of an eye, flames gushed out of the ground where Lucius was. He was lucky that he was fast enough to fly up.
“This is good, Sven!” Lucius shouted and turned to Sven. “When you fight a manipulator, just destroy the manipulator and everything will be done!”
