Suddenly, a sweet voice sounded from Wisana’s body. It was a sound effect that came with Jinnie every time she was called. There, a golden-haired girl rushed out of Wisana and tried to run away as fast as she could.

The red eyes were turned to her. Lucius pointed his left hand at the girl. That was enough for her to stop short. She grabbed her neck and struggled as if she was being strangled by an invisible hand.

“..L... Let go of me, Signerater number 002. You’re... c... committing something bad. T... That key isn’t something you can have your hands on!”

Jinnie tried to talk. Even so, Wisana looked at the AI with a nonchalant face.

“Even an AI can leave the master when it comes to the time of crisis.” Lucius chuckled. “The organization is the same. Even the AI’s leaving you behind, kid.”

Hearing that, the AI was startled and turned to Wisana.

They could not say anything. Wisana panted heavily. His brain was being fried. The confusion let his Signetic flow too much.

Lucius quickly put Wisana back on the ground. He looked suffocated. His eyes were so red and his breath was being blocked.

The boy screamed like a madman and writhed on the ground.

His eyes rolled around. The brain wave was torturing him.

“W... Who am I?!! What am I?!” Wisana still screeched.

Jinnie’s warning got Viola gritting her teeth. She looked up and shouted.

It did not work. His mom’s words could not reach him anymore. His eyes were rolled upward. Lucius and Scarlet sighed wearily.

The red-haired man pulled Jinnie to him and strangled her.

Jinnie was speechless. Actually, she could not say anything anymore. The screens squeezed her and the AI finally slowly disintegrated into them a little at a time until she was completely gone.

The ruby-red eyes turned to Scarlet. They sighed with relief.

“Na, listen to me. Please focus... Please... That’s not the right door!”

Viola tried to crawl to her son, but the restraint got even tighter. She pressed her lips and was in tears.

Lucius closed down all the screens and pointed at the struggling boy. Viola was startled.

“W... What are you trying to do, Lucius?!!” She screamed.

“End everything.” The man answered softly. “I’ve seen too much of this. I’ll erase this boy from Pride.”

“You can’t!” Viola shouted. “If you don’t let his brain cool down first...!”

Hearing that, Lucius smiled.

“His brain will be damaged and the Signetic will glow into the core of the brain, killing some of the cells. That way, he can’t be a king anymore.” He chuckled softly. “What a pity, Viola. You only see this boy as a tool for the organization. Even if he dies, what you care about isn’t his life, but what he inherited from your beloved man. I feel sorry for the boy.”

Then, the red beam slowly gathered on Lucius’s palm. There was no holding back this time. He had already gotten what he wanted. He only had to kill the king...

And he was doing it for the boy’s sake...

A tricky smirk was on his face. A magic bow in his hand and the magic circle in front of him proved that he was the one who attacked Scarlet just now.

“What’s up, Lucius?” The black-haired man smiled.

“You...” Lucius clenched his fists. “Sven.”

Hearing that, the man grinned.

“It’s an honor that you still remember me.” Sven tilted his head. “I hope you haven’t forgotten that I’m in this, too.”

Lucius did not say anything. He looked at the fading Scarlet and gritted his teeth.

“Don’t you think it’s too late to come now?” Lucius flashed his feigned smile.
