Chapter 645: The Weaponized Fortress Part I

“Sigh~ I got caught.”

A cheery voice rang with an irritating smile, even though the eyes cleared showed anxiety.

“I really hate dealing with these two.”

Another voice rang and let out a long sigh.

Both Allen and Nero were displeased when they saw that the members of the Dominion were revived and charging at the alliance again. However, the two men that just jumped off the ship were even more worrying.

“Now you get to fight your equal.”

The new guy was blunt. He was with his lavender eyes and a black uniform. He was also holding the one and only Longinus spear that was pointing at the opponents.

Another one was a small girl. She had golden brown hair and bright green eyes. Her rosy lips were curved in a cute smile, even though her intention was not cute at all!

“The number one hunter, Shindanai, and Waree The Light Fortress. These two are the worst duo.” Nero broke into a sweat. “It doesn’t look good. It seems Aaron is also occupied with Sander.”

Allen gritted his teeth tightly.

“They’re trying to separate us.”

Nero nodded in agreement. They started to learn what the Nemesis was planning to do. They wanted to separate them and take them down one by one. Were you not too confident in these kids, Viola?

For a one-on-one fight, these kids were nothing to them.

“Greetings, Mr. Allen and Mr. Nero. We’re ordered to kill you both. Even though this is the first time we meet, I hope it’s not too ill-mannered for me to not talk much!!”

Waree flicked her hand and the ground where Allen and Nero stood glowed. The magic characters slowly spun around and formed a picture. Their eyes were opened widely. They did not think that the girl would suddenly attack without any warning!

“Mr. Allen, dodge! This is the light bomb. It’s going to hurt so much if you don’t!” Nero screamed.

“I know that!”

At that moment, the light bomb was activated at their feet. They dodged it in time, or they would be hurt very badly.

The girl was unexpectedly rough!

Nero looked at Waree and smiled. A magician should fight a magician and he was certain that it would end easily since the only rule here was ‘the stronger magician wins’.

“Don’t even think about it. You’re with me.”

A low voice was heard so close to him. Shindanai dashed at Nero, who was still in mid-air. His eyes were opened widely. He did not expect the opponent to be this fast!

“Tsk! As expected of a hunter!”

Nero quickly created a magic wall and guarded Shin’s attack. Even so, Longinus was so powerful that Nero was pushed back to the ground!

Of course, Shin would never let his opponent regain the footing. While Nero was still trying to get up, the hunter dashed down from the sky with the spear. The magic wall was called up again and guarded it. However, Nero got down on his knees because of the powerful hit.

“This guy... He shouldn’t be this good according to the report!” Nero gritted his teeth. “Mr. Allen!”

He called for support. Allen intended to fight a fellow hunter in the first place, so he did not hesitate to rush in. While the crusader was trying to penetrate the magic wall, his back was open for Allen to hit!

“You’re aiming at the wrong one. You’re with me.”

The sweet voice rang and multiple swords appeared around Allen. His red eyes were opened widely. He pressed his lips and stopped abruptly to avoid being pierced.

He turned to look at the girl who just used the “Direction Ray” on him just at the right time.

“Tsk! This girl again!” Allen swore.

Seeing that his support was unable to come, Nero clicked his tongue and burst out his inner strength to bounce Shin off.

“It’s fine. You deal with Waree, Mr. Allen. I’ll deal with this man myself. It shouldn’t be a problem to walk into their plan.”

He had not finished what he had to say when Shindanai dashed at him again. The magician knew that he did not have the time to talk to his partner anymore, so he flicked both of his hands and created the full-fledged magic characters!

Seeing that, Allen could only let out a long sign.

“Damn it, I hate fighting girls.”

Allen said bluntly. Shindanai and Nero were so busy that it was impossible for him to interfere anymore.

Waree tilted her head and smiled.

“You’re more of a gentleman than I thought.” She said. “However, being a gentleman doesn’t always help. It can possibly be a sharp sword that stabs yourself to death.”

“Good speech,” Allen smirked. “Your sharp words are as expected of Natalia’s daughter.”

The girl raised her eyebrow.

“You know my mother?”

“Of course, I used to work for her.”

Waree parted her lips. She remembered now that Allen and Nero were once the members of the Bunny Burner, the guild her mother established.

“Then, you’re friends?” Waree narrowed her eyes.

“Something like that.” Allen shrugged. “You look just like your mom, especially those eyes. Those determined eyes were a clone of hers. But it’s a shame that you didn’t bring Natalia here. I heard that you have Sander and Viola on your team. If Natalia’s here, too, it should be a nice family gathering, don’t you think?”

Waree fell silent. She knew that they were not words of friendship, but a provocation that intended to confuse her. Allen knew that his words could actually distract her.

He grinned and broke into a sweat.

Those eyes resembled Natalia’s so much.

They were sharp and terrifying. Looking into them could stun and freeze people in place.

They fell silent as if they knew that the next thing would be the real fight. He could tell that this girl was not ordinary!

According to the report, it was true that she was a supporting magician, but he would not underestimate her!

In a split second, Allen decided to make the first move. He pushed his speed to the max and appeared right in front of Waree. However, those green eyes did not waver. She had already calculated this and guarded herself with the shield.

“Good reflexes!” Allen shouted. “I must admit that you’re very brave to fight one-on-one with me. This is a suicide, kid!”

“You should be careful, too. If you underestimate us, you’ll be surpassed by the kids without even realizing it!!”

Waree took out the magic shield to push Allen away. They both smiled and dashed at each other!

Scarlet was stressful. She walked up to the tall man, who was still sitting casually on the roof of the tallest building in the city. His ruby-red eyes still looked ahead nonchalantly.

There were so many screens in front of him that were showing the footage of each battle happening in the field right now, be it Marcus and Lavy who were fighting their shadow, Sander and Aaron who were soaked in blood, and Allen and Nero who were trying to cope with Shindanai and Waree.

Emilia seemed to be the worst one because she just walked right into Maysa’s illusion.

Even though they seemed to be at a disadvantage, Lucius was still calm. He did not show anxiety at all. He even cared more about the screen with the running text now than ever.

“Lucius, are you listening to me? We’re at a disadvantage now.”
