Chapter 646: The Weaponized Fortress Part II
Chapter 646: The Weaponized Fortress Part II
“Lucius, are you listening to me? We’re at a disadvantage now.”
Scarlet said with a smooth voice, yet her facial expression showed so much anxiety.
“I see that,” Lucius said.
“You’re not going to do anything? William’s already released their last army and there’re even less than ten thousand people. Some of those who were dead started to turn their weapons on us, too. If the alliance’s crystal is broken, we won’t have a chance in the next war. I hope you didn’t forget that.”
Lucius turned to look at the girl.
Why would he not? The rule said clearly that those without the crystal would not be able to participate in the army with one. Yes! Because of this ridiculous rule, they had to be stuck here with William. However, because of this, they were still legal players. Pride could not interfere with them.
“If William loses, we’ll have to retreat or Payu will come to us,” Scarlet stressed on her words. “Now that we don’t have to seal our power anymore, please let everyone use at least eighty percent of the power.”
Lucius sighed softly.
“Not yet.” Lucius shook his face. “I’ll let them decide when they should do that.”
“But!”
“Just let it continue like this. Let me see what those kids have got. The more I learn about them, the more chances to win.”
“...”
Scarlet fell silent and sighed.
“Then, please let me go out and kill the gods. I don’t want the old man Payu to have a chance on us.” Scarlet suggested.
“No.”
Lucius did not even take a second to think about it. The girl opened her mouth wide. She was about to argue when the man explained and made her speechless.
“You’re the only one who can’t go anywhere far from me, Scarlet.” He said. “Watch my back to your best ability. Viola must have planned to attack me immediately if we were apart. I don’t care about anyone else. You and I have to stick to the plan.”
He turned to look into her eyes. His smooth words got the woman stunned. She could only nod.
“We’ll be fine. Even if we died, we’d respawn at a safe place.” Lucius said. “And even though Payu will get to us as soon as William’s crystal’s broken, he won’t be able to do anything. So, what we have to do now is to observe, understood?”
“Yes.”

‘What is this?’
She was confused. The enemy’s movement was beyond her calculation!
What was her fighting form exactly?!
Bang!
265,236
A gunshot suddenly sounded again with the damage number appearing above Emilia. It had been almost thirty times now that she had not been able to figure it out and it was another successful shot from Maysa, even though she was confident that she would be able to guard it.
“What the hell is this?!”
Emilia screeched. Her small body lost its footing and was thrown off to the ground where there was only debris.
“And who says you’re the strongest defensive magician? I got you again, Emilia.”
Meanwhile, another girl with grey eyes was grinning on top of the pile of ruins as high as a three-story building. She looked very confident.
“I heard that you’re skilled in calculation?” Maysa smiled. “Your brain’s as accurate as a supercomputer’s. The Intelligent Signetic of the girl with over 200 IQ.”
She sulked a little before she stroked her lips.
“Woah... That’s pretty high, like my friend’s... Eh, or maybe higher?” She grinned. “Yet, you can’t seem to be able to calculate my movement. Aww... Poor you.”
The provocation got Emilia gritting her teeth. Her cool has been shattered since the very first second she met this woman. She quickly flicked her hand and called another sharp rock from the ground, hoping to crush Maysa.
However, what she just destroyed was the remnants of the building since Maysa disintegrated immediately when the rock penetrated. Emilia knew that it was an illusion because Maysa had been doing this over thirty times already. Every time she attacked, she only hit the air.
And every time, Maysa would appear close and point the gun at her!
Bang!!
Maysa shot Emilia at close-range. Her fast calculation processed and resulted in...
Your illusion...
“Doesn’t work on me anymore, Maysa!”
The girl shouted. It was just like what she had calculated. The bullet that Maysa just shot went through Emilia. It was as if it hit the air. She turned in another direction. She pointed her finger and cast a spell.
“There’s a limit to your illusion. You always appear on the opposite side of my sight. That’s how you distract me like the mirrored image. Like I said before, you can’t use it continuously. After one use, there’ll be a two to five seconds delay and I can use that gap to attack.”
The long explanation ended with the ground changing into giant sharp thorns that dashed to the empty space. A second later, Maysa appeared right in that area!
“Shit!”
Maysa shouted and guarded the thorn with her arms. Emilia smiled like a winner. Finally, her calculation was right. However...
Swooosh~
The thorns went through Maysa and she disintegrated again.
“What? Why is she an illusion?!” Emilia screeched.
“You’re right... I wonder why?”
Before she realized it, a sweet voice sounded behind her again with the cold tip of the gun on her back. The ringing voice came with a million damage.
Bloody Shot
3,996,002
Emilia was thrown off face down on the ground. Blood gushed out of her small mouth. Her blue eyes turned to Maysa, who was smiling there watching over her.
“Damn you!”
Spear Sand
BOOM!
Emilia did not hesitate to call multiple spears from the ground where Maysa was standing. Again, Maysa slowly faded into thin air.
How could this be?!
Just now, Maysa attacked her from there!
At least she should be able to pinpoint the real Maysa when she attacked. Did she create another illusion of herself right after the attack and dodged the other way right away? That meant she had to prepare her attack from every angle!
“Well, well, I haven’t lost my HP one bit. It looks like I’ll win the fight without having to lose anything, Emilia.”
The sweet voice kept provoking her. It might seem like Emilia was calm and stood still to think about what to do next, but she was actually trying to calculate where Maysa was.
Maysa did not possess the Signetic, so detecting the brain wave was out of the question. Why? Even without it, this woman was so hard to deal with!
“Huh, you’re not randomly attacking me anymore?” Maysa asked with a cheery voice. “Then, should I start first?”
Bang!
A gunshot was heard and Emilia turned to the source. She only stood still because she knew that it was another illusion. And it was!
The illusional bullet went through Emilia. She looked behind her and saw Maysa there. She did not know if that was the real one, but she would take this chance!
Spear Sand
Suddenly, a sand spear shot off the ground and penetrated Maysa, but...
“Another illusion?” Emilia muttered. “Then, there!”
Spear Sand
And again, the spear shot off the ground at nothing. Maysa popped up there during the shot, but it was only another illusion!
“You’re faster now, Emilia. You attacked before my illusion was even created.”
