Chapter 638: Gungnir! Part IV
Chapter 638: Gungnir! Part IV
“Don’t retreat! Keep moving forward! We’re doomed if we fall back right now!”
Clank~!
A hoarse yelling sounded while the swords met. Tryne, a great swordsman from the Dominion, had never felt so agitated like this before. Even though he was a bigger man with a bigger weapon, why did the opponent fight him with a smile like that?
“You’re bold. Must be used to wars, huh?”
The question was asked with a smile. His amber eyes sparkled. He was a blonde-haired man with a katana sword.
Clank~!
Tryne quickly drew his sword back to push the other man away.
However, the smaller man only swung his sword and stepped back a few steps. He seemed to be having fun. His ruby-red eyes stared at Tryne as if he were a big toy.
“Mr. Allen, we don’t have time to waste. Take him down and work with me here.”
BOOM!!!
Another man talked to him with a weary voice, while a big thunder crashed down and burned more Dominion members to crisps. Tryne gritted his teeth.
Who were these people? There were only two of them, yet they could take down so many of his members. If this went on, he would not be able to defend it anymore. Now that he knew their potential, he realized how inferior he was. These men were equal to Marcus!
“Shut up, Nero!” Allen scolded his partner, who was casting a spell, while his eyes were still fixed on Tryne. “The boring cleaning up job is for a magician like you. Can’t you let me warm up for the Nemesis?”
“The Nemesis...?” Tryne murmured softly.
“You’re such a kid.”
Nero sighed before he flicked his hand and a huge fireball exploded at a bunch of players. It was so easy that Tryne gritted his teeth!
“Hey, you.” Allen turned to Tryne.
“.....”
Tryne was silent. Nero massaged his temples wearily.
“What’s your name?”
BOOM!!!
Tryne did not answer with words. He chose to swing his giant sword with a long chain at the grip that was wrapped around his wrist at Allen with all his might. Of course, it did not work. Allen was fast enough to even jump onto the blade itself.
“...S... So fast.” Tryne murmured.
“Fine by me!”
Allen shouted so loudly and did something incredible. He ran on the chain so fast towards Tryne that it was questionable how balanced his body was!
He reached the target and slashed his sword at Tryne’s neck faster than a blink. The bigger man leaned backward to dodge the hit. He drew the big sword back and Allen jumped back down.
The man with red eyes seemed so relaxed. Maybe it was because Tryne was now covered in blood that flowed out of the wound on his neck.
“Is it because the wound’s too shallow...” Allen grinned. “Or is it because you’re fast enough to dodge it? But whatever it is, this is fun. Don’t you think?”
Tryne did not flinch. His sharp eyes still swept around as if to search for a way to escape. His subordinates were so occupied with Nero’s magic that he could not depend on them.
“What good eyes you have.” Allen glared at Tryne. “This is fun.”
They dashed at each other. Nero sighed. “He really is a kid.”

“Leader, it seems like Lucius and his people are occupied with the Pandora and the Dominion. They are at points W-6 and E-7.”
The report was from an operator in the control room. The tall figure sprung himself up. His eyes behind those black glasses looked at the monitor that showed how many people the Pandora and the Dominion had lost in a short period of time. They seemed to have stopped marching towards the base.
“Good job!”
William clapped his hands before he turned to the closest female operator.
“What about the Cataral?” He asked.
“...No one’s there yet. They’re now at point N-4!”
William gritted his teeth and clicked his tongue.
“Are you fools testing me by leaving the last army for me, Lucius?! ...Whatever. It’s enough for you to stall two for minutes for me.” He smiled mischievously. “Make an announcement that we’ll be using Gungnir in thirty seconds.”
The soldiers were startled and turned to look at their leader.
“Gungnir? Are you really sure!?”
“But our people are still in the field. If we use it now...”
“The Nemesis hasn’t arrived yet.”
“Shut up!”
Silence overtook the place after that loud yelling. The tall man stood up majestically. His eyes were so malicious that everyone in the room had to swallow his saliva.
“There’s always sacrifice in wars. This is our one-in-a-hundred chance to win. If we don’t take it, we’re doomed.” He closed his eyes for a short while before he looked at the same female operator. “Announce my order. We’re launching Gungnir in thirty seconds!”
“Y... Yes!”

“Good god, this is so troublesome.”
A sweet voice sounded so excited. The small woman was jumping between buildings to avoid getting involved with the battles. She was trying her best to do what her leader ordered her to: keeping watch from the top where it was safe and searching for what they wanted.
And that was ‘the alliance base’.
“And how do I know where that is?”
Nuchjaree, a tomboyish girl, was in a white war uniform. The white robe down to her knees flapped against the wind as she ran. Her rust-colored eyes swept around scrutinizingly. Even though it was only a skim, she had the eyes of a highly skilled archer who could quickly take in everything.
Even though she was out of the main battles and tried to hide herself in blind spots to get to the base, she truly believed that that cowardice William must have built a secret base here in this city to use as a shelter and ordered everyone around from there.
But where the heck is that secret base?!
“Tristan is huge. This is like telling me to look for a needle in a haystack.”
The tomboy girl complained before she dropped down to the ground. She constantly hid in the shade between the buildings to avoid being seen.
“Damn it. I know I’m skilled in infiltration, but what will I do if I accidentally encounter the big ones?”
She still complained, while looking at the alliance that ran past her. She sighed with relief.
She did not understand why Sven would give this job to her, even though Jade was the best assassin in the Cataral. Was it because she did not stand out? If it was that, it somehow bothered her!
“They should be gone... I’ll take another route, then.”
She leaned out of the alley between the buildings. She looked left and right and was about to cross the road. Before she did, she could feel immense pressure. She felt the heat around her as if she was in front of an oven. Then, a big vibration occurred, causing her to lose balance and drop to the floor.
“W... What’s happening?!” Nuchjaree cried before she looked up because she noticed something. “..W... What the hell is that?!”
