Chapter 636: Gungnir! Part II

Chapter 636: Gungnir! Part II

“We’re using the codenames because this is confidential. We can’t let the enemy know, otherwise we’re doomed. Got it, my beautiful White Queen?”

“..B... Beauti...? Don’t be absurd! Ahhh!”

The girl screamed loudly. It was obvious that his ‘White Queen’ was occupied with the battle. She had to deal with other players and this annoying man whom she had never won against even once!

“Hey, hey, get yourself together or my plan will be ruined. You’re my important key, you know?”

“I... I know that!” The White Queen scolded him. “I’ll lose because of you. I’m in hiding now. What is it you want with me?!”

Sven laughed before he opened up another screen.

“How’s the battle?” He asked.

“Terrible.” The answer got the man raising his eyebrow. “Not us, them. I thought they were better, but it turns out everyone’s at level hundred-something. They run around everywhere without a leader. It’s obvious that they haven’t played the game together at all because there’s no teamwork.”

The man stroked his lips as if he was thinking about something...

As expected, they could only get this from independent players.

Firstly, players that did not belong to a guild tended to have lower levels. Some solo players might be good, like that Shindanai, the best hunter in the game, but they would not own good items like he did.

Secondly, teamwork. Players here had never been out in a party together. They had not planned a strategy (which he thought William was not that bright to do). There were only eleven football players on the field who ran around in different directions.

With that being said...

The war was not about the number of people, stupid William.

“That’s good,” Sven said. “You don’t have to pay attention to the minions. From now on, you just find a safe spot and keep watch from above. Once you see the target, proceed with the plan.”

“Got it. You don’t hold back when it comes to ordering people around.”

Even though she was complaining, he knew how much the girl was willing to obey him. A moment later, the communication was cut off. The tall figure continued to watch his people running into the city.

“I leave it to you, my White Queen.”

He sighed loudly before he looked around. No one was there at the previous gathering spot anymore. They were all in the battle now. He was the only one there who still kept watch from afar.

His sharp ruby-red eyes swept around the area. The map was still in front of him. There was not only the Cataral, but the Pandora and the Dominion had also already penetrated the city. He was quite certain that William still had something hidden in his sleeves.

Independent players and stupid cannons were nothing.

He was sure that William had prepared the Nemesis something.

Sven grinned.

“Do whatever you want, monsters. Call them all out and push the main guys to the corner, so I can finally finish this war.”

----------------

“Hey, hey, go for it. Destroy everything that moves. Search for the base. You’ll be rewarded nicely if you bring William’s head to me!”

The growl was from a big man who was walking so casually on the battlefield where the players were fighting frantically. Some even used magic and exploded everything. However, The Bloody Iron Beast seemed to be used to this so much that it was like a playground to him.

“Hey, there! You’ve spent too much time on these maggots. Kill them in a single slash!”

Not just that, he also ordered his members around as if he were a trainer in a soldier camp. It worked, though, since the soldier who was yelled at dodged the hit and laid a final slash at the opponent.

“Hey, you, too. You do close-range combat when fighting magicians. Are you leaving this huge space for your freaking graveyard?!”

“Y... Yes, sir!”

They accepted the order and finally took down the magicians.

Marcus walked into the city so easily as if he was welcomed here. The Dominion was really the most professional in penetrating the enemy’s base!

It was like the water had flooded the ant army away. Marcus was walking behind the currents that kept on sweeping the ants. That was why he was so laid back. Some players sneaked out and ran at him, not knowing that they were committing suicide instead of fleeing.

In the end, Marcus only snapped his fingers, and they were all slain!

“Isn’t this too easy?”

He muttered softly while looking around. It seemed like William had not prepared anything other than the cannons.

This was way too easy!

“Leader.”

A moment later, the voice of his right-handed man came from the communication channel. Then, the screen showed an image of a man with spiky green hair. He was ‘Tryne’.

“What’s up, brother? Let me hear the good news.”

“The front line’s already swept the area, sir.”

“Good job, my brother!”

Marcus beamed and raised his thumb. It was something rare, coming from The Bloody Iron Beast.

“We’re divided into three right now. The first group will go with the Pandora and another the Cataral. The last consists of only great warriors and will go straight for William’s head.”

“Do what you want. I’ll search for a good seat in the audience.”

He waved his hand nonchalantly. Tryne made a wry face and let out a long sigh.

“Leader, won’t you come and help us?”

“Nope. My job here’s done.” He beamed. “And my target is only Vincent. Why would I waste my time with anything else?”

“That’s...”

Suddenly, it was as if Tryne had spotted something. He stared at it before he opened his mouth widely.

“Hey, retreat first! You can’t fight the ones who wiped out the Cataral!”

“Hey, what’s happening, Tryne? Answer me!”

Marcus yelled at him because he noticed that something was off. A moment later, Tryne was cut off. Marcus raised his eyebrow even higher.

“Tryne, speak to me!” He growled.

BOOM!!!

It was only the sound of an explosion and a gush of flames that occurred in front of him. His black eyes were wide open.

The flames were obviously from a powerful flame magic. And it was in front of him where Tryne and his army were gathering.

It was too late!

They had been attacked by something or someone.

That powerful magic should not be from a normal man!

Marcus gritted his teeth and was about to run to his subordinates when his senses yanked him back as if electricity was flowing in him. His brain ordered his feet to stop and step back. Marcus did so. If he had not, he would have been hit by the magic that sprouted off the ground!

Krrrrrrrrrr~~!

A black shadow on the ground where he stood was strange, but it was nothing compared to the magic characters that were spiraling around a figure of something that was coming out of that shadow.

“Who are you? Trying to sneak up on me?”

Marcus growled loudly. He stared at the figure in front of him.

“Well, well, you’re so hot-tempered, Marcus. As expected of a beast.”
