Chapter 635: Gungnir! Part I

Chapter 635: Gungnir! Part I

“Huh... It looks like he really is useless.”

A cheerful yet weary voice was from a man with long brown hair. He shielded his eyes and stared at what was in front of him. He was standing on the rooftop of the Hamilton Hotel, which was the tallest building that was located in the center of Tristan. It was good as an observation point.

“It seems like we can’t leave it to William anymore. Only five minutes and the opponent got in already.”

“I’ve foreseen this. His mouth is the only thing he’s good at.”

Another man said. He was squatting with a katana sword in his hand, supporting him.

“Are you sure this is good, leader?” A glasses man turned around. “This is not stalling time, he was only a dead weight. The gods are killing off the people like brushing off grains of dust.”

Hearing that, the red-haired man, who was standing behind him with four other men, did not say anything more. His sharp eyes looked around town. He saw that the alliance was slowly led in to fight the opponent.

From positioning outside the gate, they were forced to squeeze back inside. The number of people had also decreased so greatly that it was shocking. The alliance now had fewer people.

Lucius let out a scoff.

“Don’t worry about the pawns.” He said in a low voice. “You aim at Marcus, Lavi, and Sven, that’s it. If they lose, the rest of them will be like ants fleeing from floods.”

Lucius glanced at the small girl with brown hair next to him.

“Emilia, what about them?”

“I can’t detect them just yet,” Emilia answered. “It seems like they’re using the Alice system to camouflage. I can’t say when they’ll be arriving here. The only thing that I know for sure is that they’ve already moved out from the south.”

“Good!”

A tall man yelled out. He had messy spiky hair and a trident in his hand. He looked angry.

“I’d be sad if they didn’t come, especially Sander. He still owes me his blood!”

“Calm down, Aaron.” Scarlet, a girl with blonde hair, put her hand on his shoulder. “I know how much you want to kill that guy, but we need strength to complete our plan, too.”

Her words got the man looking at her and let out a loud sigh.

“I know that!”

“Don’t worry, everyone. The chance will come soon. Those guys always have a grand appearance.”

The last quiet person in a big robe and only her rosy lips on her tanned skin walked out of the shadow. She was Miguel, the girl who was an expert in manipulation.

“Should we kill time by playing with the gods first?”

Miguel got everyone looking at each other. Lucius was still as quiet. He opened up his information screen and stared at something. So many texts ran on the screen so fast that it was hard to catch anything. Even his acquaintance did not understand what it was.

A moment later, Lucius closed down the screen and looked at Miguel.

“Not now.” He said smoothly. “It’s not the time yet. We’ll stick to the original plan. All of you scatter around. It doesn’t matter to me how hard of the warm-up you want. Scarlet and I will be here. We’ll wait until the time comes before sweeping everything off the ground, understood?”

“Yes, sir.”

They accepted the order. It was obvious that no matter how much they wanted to go out and fight, Lucius’s decision was final. If Lucius wanted them to kill themselves, they would totally obey that!

“Aaron and Emilia, you go south,” Lucius said.

“Of course.” Aaron nodded.

“Don’t use Gaia and Poseidon just yet, unless it’s necessary.”

Both of them nodded and jumped off the roof. Lucius turned to Allen and Nero.

“You guys to the west. If possible, wipe the Dominion off. There’re too many of them and it’s annoying.”

“Yes, sir. We’ll do just that.”

Nero bowed respectfully, while Allen only nodded. They threw themselves down the building together and that got the rest of them smiling.

“And you, Miguel.” Lucius turned to the tanned girl. “Find a good location and stall the gods’ time. I’ve already activated that skill for you. Until they arrive, don’t let anyone get close to the main alliance army.”

“Okay, boss~”

The small girl in a brown robe slowly faded away, leaving Lucius and Scarlet alone. They looked at each other for a short while before Lucius turned away. He stared at the south of the city. It was not Lavi’s Pandora army that he was looking at, it was miles away outside of here. His eyes were filled with mixed feelings.

“It looks like you can’t even hold your happiness, Lucius.

It was Scarlet who said that smoothly.

“...” Lucius was quiet.

“Are you that delighted to see the girl you’ve been one-sidedly fallen in love with?”

His crimson-red eyes slowly closed. The tall figure just walked past Scarlet to the other side and sat down at the edge of the rooftop. His eyes were still fixed at the same place.

Seeing that, Scarlet bit her lips so hard that blood seeped out of them!

“I hope you won’t be so soft towards that woman, Lucius. Don’t forget that our fate is in your hands. If you didn’t dare to fight her...”

“Scarlet.”

She had not finished her sentence when the man called her name coldly. The girl halted and stared at the man’s back.

“Stop speaking nonsense. I won’t tolerate it even if it’s you.”

Lucius called up his information screen with running texts again as if to say that he did not want to talk anymore and wanted to keep himself composed before the big battle. The girl clenched her fists so tightly that her nails pinched into her hands and blood started to seep out.

“You can’t stop me, either, Lucius. I’ll kill her if I have a chance!”

Scarlet was full of grudges. Yet, Lucius did not seem to care. He only exhaled softly.

“Do what you want. Just make sure not to mess things up.”

“Sven, Bhira and Jade have already penetrated the city!”

An excited shout came from a small guy who was running breathlessly. The boy with black messy hair smiled.

“Good. Tell them to proceed according to plan. You go get the healing unit to follow them in. Wipe all of them and heal those who can still fight. Drag out those who can’t.”

“Yes, sir!”

The boy seemed delighted. He ran to the healing unit that was already waiting there. Sven sighed softly and opened up the communication screen.

“The Black King’s calling The White Queen. How’s the situation?”

He looked entertained when he said that. It was quiet for a while before the end of the line shouted back.

“What the heck with that king and queen?! I’m busy. And please stop with the silly codenames!”

The unique yelling could always make Sven laugh. He sighed softly and glanced at the intense battle. It was as busy as she said.

“We’re using the codenames because this is confidential. We can’t let the enemy know, otherwise we’re doomed. Got it, my beautiful White Queen?”
