Chapter 633: The Last Battle! Part IV

Chapter 633: The Last Battle! Part IV

“It looks like the Nemesis is only a chicken shit.”

A burst of provocative laughter was from a man with a slim face and purple hair that was put up in a tight bun. He was wearing a white robe and a war uniform so full as if he had been preparing it for this day.

Even though he was only making orders in the commanding tower.

“And the Bunny Burner is good at defense and now they’re backing out, too. The time of the four gods is finally over, I see.”

He chuckled. The man behind him had to let out a loud sigh.

“I don’t mind if you’re in high spirits, but if that leads to failure, you’re dead, William.”

The man in a white robe was startled and quickly turned to another man.

“I’m not doing that. Stop acting so high and mighty here. Don’t forget who’s the boss!”

The man behind him just let out a scoff.

The man with red hair and green eyes only lifted his chin up a bit. He was in a black robe over a white suit. The blonde-haired girl behind him was in a lolita dress with her hair being put up in a tight bun.

“Does that mean I can relax now, Mr. William?”

The girl greeted him. Her sweet smile annoyed William very much.

“Of course.” He stressed his words and smirked. “Before you talk, you should make sure to survive first. You said you’ll take care of the four gods, and I hope you won’t be a disappointment, Mr. Lucius.”

He said with his high-pitched voice. His face showed total disdain. The red-haired man smiled coldly. He did not say anything before he swung his robe and was about to walk out of the room.

“Let me tell you again, William, that you better care about yourself,” Lucius said in a low voice. “And don’t get careless with the Nemesis and the Bunny Burner, especially Valentine. Even though she hasn’t really said that she was joining the war, she’s still a god. She’s as hard to read as Sven.”

“I’m not afraid!” William scolded. “If she dares to come at me, I have all these two hundred thousand people waiting for her.”

“I hope you’re as good as your words.”

Then, Lucius walked out. Scarlet, the blonde-haired girl in a maid outfit bowed and followed her master out.

Seeing how arrogant the red-haired man was, William scoffed loudly before he turned back to the giant screen.

This commanding room was once a spacious meeting hall in a famous hotel in Tristan. William had modified it into his secret base. Inside, it was built just like the commanding tower with so many kinds of communication machines and a big screen that showed everything that was happening outside.

There were as many as fifty players positioned downstairs. William was standing on the mezzanine, looking at his subordinates with his mischievous smile.

“Keep talking, Lucius.” He chuckled. “You don’t know what I’ve done to this city. Once the gods are dead, every one of you is next.”

He chuckled darkly. The players close to him even got goosebumps.

“Then, shall we start the war? Make it grand.”

“Every position is ready, leader. Should we march?”

A tall man with orange hair walked in in full armor. His facial expression seemed a little agitated.

“Wait, Bhira.” A smooth voice rang.

The red-eyed man, ‘Sven’, was standing behind a big tree on a small hill. He was scrutinizing the city in front of him. He saw a closed city gate that looked like it would be hard to get in. In front of the gate, there were no fewer than ten thousand people guarding it.

What a warm welcome, William!

Sven smirked. Bhira raised his eyebrow.

“What is it, leader?”

“Nothing.” Sven brushed it off. “What about Lavi and Marcus’s army?”

“They’re still in preparation.”

It was another man who just walked in. His aggressive look and the scar on his face were trademarks of Jade, the leader of the intelligence unit. He was also in his full armor.

“My men reported that they don’t seem to charge soon as if they’re waiting for something. The armies have been positioned at each city gate as commanded.”

Sven nodded and opened up the map on his screen.

“Then, we can be sure now that we’ll be invading from three sides.” He looked at the east gate. “What about Valentine?”

Jade halted a little and shook his head.

The ruby-red-eyed man sighed softly. Both Jade and Bhira knew full well that their leader was planning to have the four gods invade the city and clear out the army all at once. The point was that Valentine was wise enough to know what Sven had in mind.

And the Bunny Burner did not seem to be tricked into this, either.

“It’s fine.” Sven cut the conversation short. “The east is the ocean anyway. The only thing I’m worried about is that the alliance would escape from there. Bhira, I want you to put a few people there to prevent anyone from swimming away.”

“Absolutely. I’m sure a lot of people would volunteer to do that.”

Bhira grinned. Sven turned to look at Jade.

“Good. Then, we’re charging in in ten minutes. The long-range fighters shoot first and the front line gets rid of everyone in sight. I’ll let you lead the fastest people, Jade. You get inside and find a way to open the gate for the rest of us, understood?”

“Yes.” Jade nodded.

“Then, Bhira, you can be as wild as you want. Don’t forget to avoid Lavi and Marcus. As for you, Jade, find the enemy’s commanding unit and cut off William’s head as fast as you can. Before that, squeeze the information about the crystal out of him. We’ll steal their crystal and I’ll...”

BOOM!!!

He had not finished explaining his plan when the sound of an explosion was heard. The heat and the vibration that they felt told them that the source was only inches away!

“What’s that?!” Jade shouted.

“A bomb!? Are they initiating?”

Bhira turned around, while Sven was covering his face because of all the dust in the air.

Flames horrifyingly gushed out from where their people were in front of them.

They all looked up above the Tristan wall. What they saw was...

“Turrets! Everyone, find shelter!!” Bhira shouted.

BOOM!!!

The cannon was fired again. The explosion was so severe that a lot of Cataral people dropped dead immediately!

“The enemy has us. Retreat!” Bhira shouted.

“Not like this, you fool!” Jade disagreed. “Quickly go back to your position. It’s just a cannon. Those with defensive magic cast your spell now!”

“Jade, the war hasn’t started yet. The loss is unnecessary!” Bhira scolded him.

“Don’t you see that they’re coming for us, moron! The cannon’s just a decoy!”

“What?”

Bhira turned to look at thousands of people who were charging at them. Other than the cannonballs flying around in the sky, there were also arrows and spells that came from the opposite side!

“Defensive magic, now! The enemy’s shooting at us!”

Bhira made his command. The magicians and the defensive fighters rushed to the front line and helped the army!

The defense was not all in vain. Some were killed in action right away, while some were able to dodge the hit. The fast action of the alliance seemed to work so well. The turmoil got the Cataral bamboozled. There was only one man who had always been composed.

His ruby-red eyes stared at the seven turrets on the wall, then another fifteen missile plots in the houses.

‘You’ve prepared so many toys for us. Such a cute friend, William.’

He could not help but grin. He turned back to the map on the screen and saw that the south and the west parts of the city were filled with human heatwaves in distraught. He guessed that they must be dealing with the cannons as well.

“You’ve done quite well, William.”

Sven smiled before looking at Bhira and Jade.

“You two, move according to plan. The war has begun, even though it’s earlier than expected.”

The boys turned to him.

“According to plan?” Jade’s voice was high-pitched. “And..?”

He could only say that because he was focusing on the non-stop cannonballs from above. Sven still grinned at him.

“I told you. Go back to your position and get the healing team to take care of those in need.”

“Y... Yes!” Both of them quickly ran back to the front line, even though they had to dodge the cannonballs while doing that.

The leader grinned. His red eyes looked at the alliance that was still running towards them. Although they were still quite far away, he was sure that William would not stop the shooting even when they reached here.

What a way to dispose of your pawns.

He let out a long sigh.

“He’s so stupid.”
