Chapter 628: Back to The Battlefield Part VI
Chapter 628: Back to The Battlefield Part VI
“Stop whining. This isn’t funny and they won’t find this funny, either.”
Maysa put her hands on her hips and glared at the boys. The two men drooped down. She turned back to the door and saw that Kongkiat and Angie were still interested in such a sugary scene. Their faces even flushed red just from watching.
“You, too. You’re still young. Don’t pay much attention to it.”
The captain grabbed their shirt collars and dragged them back inside. Kongkiat could only laugh dryly. Angie was clearly disappointed.
“That’s enough. Back to sleep, guys. We have to wake up early tomorrow.”
“But...”
Tunwa raised his hand up as if he still wanted to stay. Once he saw the glare from Maysa, he dragged Manoch out of there with him.
“You, too. Go to bed.” Maysa smiled at the kids.
“Okay.”
In the end, Maysa was the only one left there. She looked at the recording that was playing the part where Waree was pulled into an embrace. Maysa smiled at it because Nam did not even try to hide her big grin.
She had been waiting for the guy to initiate something for a long time.
Even though it was just a little, they were now greatly encouraged.
“Well, congratulations, bestie.” Maysa laughed and walked away.

The wonderful night had passed. The sunlight of the new day shone all over the place. It was still as hot and humid as yesterday, but the players seemed to be more energetic than ever. The Desert Warriors sang soul-stirring songs, be it ‘Our King, Vincent’ or ‘Nemesis, The First Legend of Pride’ that seemed to be the catchiest ones.
So many players were carrying stuff like weapons, potions, or food onboard the ship. Some of them even led herded tens of giant armored birds on it, too. Each canon was so heavy that they needed ten people to push it up.
“Quickly! We have to leave at nine, not eight at night.”
Sarunya, the merchant of the Desert Warriors, gave everyone her command.
As for the Nemesis, they were in turmoil inside the ship. Alexander had been brought back to life again. The rear engine gushed out the golden fumes as a sign that it was ready to roll again!
“Good morning, everyone.”
A cheerful voice sounded in the bridge as soon as the door was opened. Everyone turned to her.
“Good morning, captain.”
They greeted her back. Once they saw her, they opened their mouths widely in surprise.
“W... Why the faces?!” She scolded.
No one said anything. Maysa was now in a kind of outfit that she had never worn before. The black uniform with folded sleeves was still the same. However, the inside was a black bikini and super short jeans. On her waist, there were so many belts with guns, grenades, and other items that would help in the fight. On her feet, there were white knee socks and black ankle-high boots.
“W... What are you looking at? I’m just prepared for the fight. Your leader said that this outfit is good, so I wore it. What’s wrong with it?!”
The pretty girl quickly slipped. Everyone looked at each other and laughed.
“It’s great, captain. You look cute.” Warunya said.
“Yeah, I’ve always thought that your outfit seems a little uncomfortable. You should show more.” Aerin added.
“Na would be very proud to see this.” Waree beamed.
“Hey, hey, May.” Manoch, who was sitting next to Warunya, called her.
“What?” May stressed her word.
“Good job!”
The glasses man raised his thumb. Maysa started to think that she was wrong to wear it. But it was that man who had always been whining and trying to talk her into it like a kid. And she had to admit that this outfit had been upgraded so well (which was so unnecessary!), that was why she had to wear it. That was all!
In the end, she could only stomp her feet and walk to her seat without looking at anyone. Of course, Manoch giggled so much because they had been friends for forever and Maysa had never worn anything like this.
Maysa’s grey eyes glared at him.
“Ae, why the heck did you come here? Isn’t your duty in the engine room?” She scolded.
“Ah, you don’t have to worry about that. Somebody’s taking my place, captain.”
Manoch said. Maysa raised her eyebrow.
“Who?” She asked.
“There’s only one, captain.” Mek turned around. “His cute first apprentice, of course.”
“Mek!” Manoch scolded him. Maysa was even more confused.
“Apprentice?” She asked. “Who in their right mind would be one?”
“Hey, that’s rude.” Manoch stood up and put his hands on his hips. “She’s not exactly my apprentice. The one named Sarunya that I told you about. She only asked me to teach her some crafting in exchange for the way to the secret shop.”
“Ah.” Maysa smiled mischievously. “And you just welcome her as your apprentice just like that?”
“I told you she’s not.”
“It’d be better to ask her to be your girl, right?”
Mek said and the rest of them laughed.
“Hey! I told you no!”
The man danced around the room because he did not know what to say.
“Oh well, I don’t care who she is to you.” Maysa grinned. “I’m just worried about how much I can put my trust in her. Taking care of our engine isn’t an easy task. If she can’t take control, it’ll be hard for us.”
“Don’t worry about that.”
A cheery voice prompted everyone to look at the source. Viper walked into the deck with a smile.
“Good morning, Mr. Viper.” Maysa greeted him.
“Good morning.” Viper bowed. “You don’t have to worry about Taii. She’s been a big fan of Mr. Manoch. She’s mastered her idol’s way of working, his attitude, and his personality. I’m sure she’ll be able to be in control. And she’s the best item crafter that I have. I guarantee that she won’t let you down.”
Maysa looked at Manoch and saw his face flushed red a little to know that he was an idol for that cute girl. She giggled and nodded at Viper.
“Understood.” She said. “If you said so, I guess I can rest assured. An ordinary player wouldn’t know the way to the secret shop anyway. So, I think she must be good.”
Viper smiled and was thankful that Maysa got it quickly. However, talking about ‘the secret shop’, Maysa suddenly recalled something that gave her goosebumps.
“Ae!” Maysa called him. “What about that frog? Did you put it in a cage? Don’t let it out here!”
The man let out a scoff and beamed at her.
“You don’t have to worry that much, May.” Manoch laughed loudly. “Don’t be afraid. I’ve built a ship for him next to the cafeteria. He won’t be out here. I also gave him an assistant.”
----------------
“There, pretty face. Maybe a bit lower. That’s it!”
A hoarse voice drawled. It sounded strangely flirty. A green creature with golden eyes was staring at something behind the counter. The shop was decorated like the famous one in Bangkok.
His ugly eyes were staring at something so round and attractive. The beautiful butt was lowered, which made it look even sexier.
“Is it here, Mr. Fredoric?”
