Chapter 629: Back to The Battlefield Part VII
Chapter 629: Back to The Battlefield Part VII
“Is it here, Mr. Fredoric?”
The sweet voice rang while she was crouching down to arrange the stuff onto the shelf. As for the horny frog, he only leaned out of the counter, drooling, with his fingers intertwined.
“You’re right, beautiful.”
“Okay, I’m done. What else, master?”
A cute girl, who was one of Warunya’s item crafters, was now promoted to work here in the shop. Even though it might look like she was demoted, her salary was doubled because no one wanted to work here!
Just wearing this shop uniform (the skirt was extremely short) and doing what Fredoric ordered her to do, it was that easy!
“Then, the next one, please get this stuff up on the top shelf.”
The frog pointed at the top shelf so high that the girl needed to step on a chair to reach it. Of course, the innocent girl did not realize the frog’s horny intention. She nodded and stepped on the chair as commanded.
She did not know how clear her pink panties were to the frog below!
“This is superb, glasses boy. I freaking love you.” The frog drooled. “I’ll be doing my best every day without going anywhere.”
----------------
“As I said.”
Back to the bridge, Manoch shrugged, while the girls just glared at him for treating a girl like a tool to serve that horny frog. The man started to sweat.
“W... What? It was the only way to keep him here.” Manoch’s voice trembled.
“I didn’t say anything. You know it.” Maysa was blunt. “Can you tell me now why you’re here?”
“Nuch isn’t here anymore, so, of course, I’m your new gunner.”
Manoch said and grabbed the seat next to Warunya’s.
“And when you’re out there, I can take your place, May.”
Manoch added. Maysa agreed with him since Manoch knew a lot about this ship and he was a clever man that he would be the first name that came into her head if she needed a substitute. She nodded.
“Understood. I’ll leave it to you.”
“Leave it to me.” Manoch hit his chest. “Ah, about the people who’ll be in charge of the magic diffusing system instead of Angie, Ms. Nam, and Ms. Stela, you don’t have to worry about it. I’ve been calling a few people in to learn how to use it. Even though they’re not as good, they’re good enough. Just go out there and do your job.”
He looked around and everyone smiled back at him. They were thankful that Manoch was such a great supporter.
“Captain.”
Suddenly, Viper walked up to Maysa. His determined face raised her eyebrow.
“Yes?”
“Have you gotten words from Mr. Vincent? It’s been three days now.”
Maysa shook her head slowly. Viper frowned tightly.
“Don’t worry.” She smiled. “He’s punctual. He’ll definitely follow us to the battlefield, I’m sure.”
Viper halted. He blinked a few times before covering his mouth, chuckling.
“What is it?” Maysa asked.
“It must be nice to be trusted. Vincent is lucky to have a cute girl like you believing in him.” Maysa’s face flushed. Everyone giggled. “What a shame that a guy like me isn’t attractive enough to get a good girl.”
The atmosphere was getting lighter, even though it was only a couple of hours before the war of destiny. They still smiled and laughed. Their hearts were still warm even in a distressful situation. Their friendship made it easier for them to get through it.
Beep~!
“Leader, everyone’s in position.”
Sarunya’s voice sounded from Viper’s communication channel. He only said “Thank you” before he turned back to Maysa.
The beautiful captain nodded and turned to Aerin.
“Aerin, activate all communication channels in the ship.”
“Yes, captain.”
The girl nodded and pressed something on her screen several times. She turned to Maysa as a sign that everything had been done.
“Good morning, everyone.”
----------------
In a hall inside the ship, the players were preparing for the war. Some of them were chatting when Maysa’s face popped up on the big screen in the middle of the hall. Sarunya, who was checking the item crates, had to stop and turn to the screen.
“It’s a great morning today. I’m so glad to see everyone smiling so cheerfully, even though we’re going into the most dangerous war in a few hours.”
Maysa stopped for a second before she smiled sweetly.
“I know that we have so little time to prepare everything, but I’m very proud that we worked hard as a team and resulted in this incredible outcome. Not only the members of the Nemesis, but every one of you. We’ve become one. I’ve seen the power of teamwork. We all have the same goal: victory. Even though the preparation was nothing compared to what we’re facing next, everyone has shown how much a good collaboration can do. I’m certain that if we’re still holding on to each other like this, no one will be able to take us down.”
A lot of players smiled to hear that. Some of them even complimented each other, no matter which guild they were in.
“Great speech, pretty captain.” Sarunya beamed.
----------------
“Where we’re going is the most fearful and horrifying battlefield that I’ve ever gone to. I, myself, am not certain that we wouldn’t lose anything there. We may have to sacrifice even our flesh and blood...”
This time, Maysa’s voice was loud and clear inside the meeting room of the field operators. More than three hundred fighting players were in a huge room with their stressful faces while listening to Maysa. Shindanai, Tunwa, Kongkiat, and Sander were smiling.
“However, I want you to remember that the sacrifices won’t be in vain. What we’ll be doing will definitely create a new great legend. Everyone will know how and what we do to be victorious. Our names will be imprinted into their brains that they can’t help but say that we’re ‘the psycho army that invaded the enemies and killed everyone in cold-blood’.”
“The psycho army? Hey! I love this name!”
Tunwa smiled at Shin and Kongkiat, who let out a big laugh. Sander crossed his arms and beamed at what Maysa had just said.
“Everyone, I can’t possibly know what you’re feeling right now. But if you ask me, I’d say that I’m happy to be able to fight alongside every single one of you. Even if time passes for centuries, I’ll still remember that I once had a chance to hold my weapons and fight alongside great warriors such as you...”
Maysa, then, took a deep breath.
“Let’s go. Let’s move to the place where the world will remember us until they die!”
The war cry was so loud after what Maysa said that every window and screw trembled by the strength of the Nemesis’s warriors.
Tunwa seemed to be the happiest one. He climbed onto the table and waved at everyone, which raised an even louder cry. Even Shin and Kongkiat screamed at the top of their lungs with extreme emotions.
----------------
The cry echoed everywhere. Even people in the deck could hear it. Everyone looked at Maysa. They did not expect her to be able to give such a stirring speech. She even stimulated them, too.
The grey eyes looked around the room and saw all the smiles. Manoch winked and saluted her.
Maysa laughed. She turned to look at Viper. The man nodded back.
She took a deep breath and exhaled softly before she growled.
“Nemesis, back to the battlefield!”
