Chapter 620: The Last Training Part II

Chapter 620: The Last Training Part II

“Stop making it touching, you spoiled man.”

Nuchjaree flicked his forehead softly. It was funny that he was always able to talk her into it, even though his reasoning was totally off the topic!

She looked at the ring in Sven’s hand again. The silver glow gave her a sense of a huge responsibility. The history that was so heavy and prestigious.

This was the Cataral, one of Pride’s greatest guilds.

And an unorganized tomboy like her as a deputy leader?

“I don’t think I can take this, Sven.” Nuchjaree smiled nervously at him. “What you’re offering me is more than I can carry. I hope you understand me.”

Sven fell silent for a while before he turned the other way and let out a long sigh.

“Then, you should understand me, too, Nuchjaree.” He smiled awkwardly. “Lavi has Emwika. Valentine has Alvis. Vincent has Maysa. As for Marcus, he’s out of the question since he’s a psycho.”

Nuchjaree laughed. She shook her head and smiled because she knew what he was about to say.

“They all have someone they trust to look after their back. I also want someone like that, too, Nuchjaree. Don’t you know that people are trying to get me from behind all the time?”

“You have your people already, right? Bhira, Jade, and many more.”

Sven let out a long sigh.

“It’s not the same.”

“How so?” Nuchjaree smiled widely.

“I want someone that I can trust. That person must be someone who will never betray me and will always be by my side. I don’t care how good that person is or what level he is. I want that someone to be the one that I know I can count on with anything.”

He held Nuchjaree’s hand and raised it up. The girl flinched a little but did not try to pull her hand back. They looked each other in the eye before the man grinned.

“I don’t have to tell you who that person is, right?”

Sven beamed at her so delightfully that Nuchjaree could only shake her head.

“You’re such a selfish moron.”

“You’re right.”

He smiled even wider before slowly putting the ring on Nuchjaree’s left ring finger. The girl sighed loudly.

“And you’re also narcissistic. You gave you permission to put the ring on that finger?!” She scolded.

“Take it off if you don’t like it.”

Those smooth words got Nuchjaree smiling. The man stood up and pulled the girl up.

“Let’s go back to Dores. I’m starving. They must be searching for their deputy leader since she’s out here for me without telling anyone.”

“Whatever. But I’ll tell you this. If anyone doesn’t want me in this position, I’m out.”

Sven grinned and held the hand of the girl who was taking a sweatshirt out from her item box to wear. Sven chuckled and helped her with that before he whispered.

“I assure you, no one’s going to object to my woman.”

The lady’s face turned red again. She walked off immediately.

“Who’s your woman?!”

----------------

Aghhhhhh~~~!!!

Meanwhile, in the far south region of the map, a scream of a woman sounded from the base of the Desert Warriors. She was extremely scared of something.

People who were walking past the Nemesis’s temporary meeting tent had to slow down or even stop to search for the source. If they recalled correctly, it sounded like the voice of Maysa, the chief of staff of the guild.

“What happened?!”

Not so long after that, a man with a worried face parted the sea of people in front of the tent.

“What’s that noise?” A lady just caught up to him. She ran up to the black-haired man immediately. “What happened, Shin? Why are there so many people in front of our tent? And was that May just now?”

“I don’t know either. I just went online a moment ago.”

Shindanai said with a confused face, the same as Waree. She narrowed her eyes and looked into the tent. Once she heard Maysa’s scream again, she quickly gave the man beside her a signal to go see what was inside.

“May!”

Waree quickly opened the tent entrance, while Shin was taking out his Longinus.

“Don’t come near me! Go away!”

Maysa screamed again. The man and the woman halted. They were so sure that something bad was happening to their pretty chief of staff, and that was why they were so ready to fight and help her.

“AHHHH! Go away! Get it out of here!!”

They found the secretary on the floor, not looking so high and mighty at all. On her, there was a creature that was clear to them that it was...

“A frog?” Shindanai and Waree’s voices harmonized.

“Nam, Nam, Nam, Nam! Please take it off me. I hate frogs. Pleeeeeease~!”

Her bestie was a savior to her right now. She waved her hand without even looking at the frog on her chest.

“Aww, my dear. Please don’t hate me. Even though I’m a frog, I’m from a noble family... Agh!”

Shin did not let it finish when he plunged his spear through the frog. It hurt so much it could not talk.

“W...What did you do to me, brat?! It hurts!”

He still had the voice for it, but he could not turn back to look at the one who was holding the spear right now. He was, then, slowly raised up, as if he was a fish stabbed by a harpoon.

“Nam~!”

The girl who just got off the roller coaster dashed towards her bestie and gave her a big hug. Waree could only console her, still confused.

“What’s happening here, May?”

“I don’t know!” Maysa screeched. “I went in and the frog was already here. It immediately rushed at me when it saw me. I’ve always hated frogs since I was a kid. I go limp every time I see them.”

“There, there, it’s okay.”

Waree stroked her friend’s hair and looked at the frog that was still at Longinus’s mercy about a meter above the ground.

“Woah, this one is pretty, too. It’s so worth it to come here.”

The frog said cheerfully, even though there was a big hole in his stomach.

“What are you? And how did you get in here?”

Shin asked bluntly with his low voice. The frog halted a little.

“Hey, put me down first and we’ll talk. If you’re good, don’t ambush me! Are you even a man?!”

The man smirked and glanced at Waree. She shrugged at him. He, then, flicked the spear, and the frog was thrown off to the ground with an “Aph!”.

“Hey! Be nice, you prick! You think you’re big and you’ll... Agh!!”

Again, Shin pierced its stomach. But this time he did it from the front as the frog wanted.

“Now, can you tell me what you are and how did you get here?”

“D... Damn... Are you stupid or a moron, you son of a bitch. It hurts!”

“I’ll ask you one last time.”

Shindanai asked bluntly again. His empty hand glowed so terrifyingly bright that the frog turned pale.

“Okay, I’ll say it! My name’s Fredoric, a merchant of the Ancestor’s Grave dungeon, ribbit.”

“A merchant of the dungeon?” Shindanai and Waree repeated at the same time.

“Liar. I’ve never seen such an ugly merchant!”

Maysa screeched. She was behind Waree as if Waree were a bunker.

“Well, well, that’s pretty sad coming from a beautiful one like you. Even though I’m a frog, I’m of the most handsome species, you know, ribbit?”

“Shut up.”
