Chapter 613: VS “Anubis” (2) Part V

Chapter 613: VS “Anubis” (2) Part V

“Then, let’s finish up. We still have one more thing to do.”

Baron snapped them back to reality. The boys turned to look at her.

“Don’t tell me it’s another fight,” Wisana asked.

“I told you no. I just want to finish the quest.”

Then, Baron led the way and gave them a signal to follow her. Wisana was the first to stand up before he offered his hand to Shin because Stella did not seem to be able to assist a man this big.

They followed Baron quietly. She walked past Anubis’s corpse nonchalantly and stopped at the wall next to it, which seemed to be the only thing that still stood.

“What about that wall, aunty?” Wisana asked.

“Be quiet and watch.”

Then, she took something out of her bag. It was a golden necklace with a beautiful pattern on it and a crimson jewel in the middle. Wisana remembered right away that it was on Anubis’s neck!

“Is that Anubis’s?” He said softly.

Baron did not say anything and only raised that necklace at the wall in front of her. The boy did not understand what she was doing. A second later, the wall started to shake fiercely before it was pulled up. That was how everyone realized that it was a hidden door!

“A secret path?” Shin murmured.

“Yes, a secret path,” Stella said. “When you were busy fighting, we were watching you from this room. It needs Anubis’s necklace to open.”

“I see.” Wisana was surprised. “Wait, if that’s the case and you already have it, that means you’ve fought Anubis before?!”

Baron only smirked and shrugged at him.

“Don’t tell me you took him down alone,” Wisana said.

“It’s not that strong that I needed the whole army to help me.”

She said and led the way into the secret room. The boys looked at each other. They were on the brink of death, but this Baron lady fought it alone.

This old cruel hag!!!

“Come in quickly and finish it, you little shits.”

Baron said. Wisana was amazed by what he saw in this room. The golden light was so blinding he had to cover his eyes. The room was small and was built purely with gold. There was nothing in this room, except the small golden altar at the wall where there was a golden stone plate carved with something.

“Wow.” Wisana was in awe with glowing eyes. “This is incredible.”

“Stop wasting your time,” Baron said. She was already in front of the altar. “Vincent, Shin, this way.”

The boys walked up to her. Shin received a new shirt from Stella and clumsily put it on without buttoning it up.

“Why did you take us here?” Wisana asked.

“Don’t ask. Just put your hands on the altar.”

“The altar?”

Shin raised his eyebrow. He looked up and saw a hip-height altar.

“I hope there’s no trap here.”

Wisana said cautiously. Baron sighed as an answer. Wisana looked at Shin and Shin only shrugged back.

“Fine, just put my hand on it, right?”

“Yes.” Baron nodded.

Wisana sighed softly before he put his hand on the altar together with Shin.

Right at the moment when both of their hands touched the altar, it glowed so brightly that everyone was startled. Baron only grinned.

“What? What’s this light?” Wisana shouted.

“....” Shin was speechless. He only narrowed his eyes in confusion.

The golden light dashed out and eventually formed two balls above the boys’ heads. They looked up at the balls when suddenly, the balls went inside them. The boys were pushed down to the ground.

“Love!”

“Father!”

The dragon girls screeched. The nurse quickly examined them.

“What is this, Ms. Baron? What have you done?” She asked.

“Calm down, Stella. Look for yourself.”

Stella looked at the boys, who were pushing themselves up with a calm expression. When she looked closely, their wounds had all been healed.

“What is this?” Wisana looked at his hands.

“The wounds are all healed.”

Shin said. He grabbed his shoulder and found that it did not hurt anymore.

“Are you okay?” Stella grabbed their shoulders.

“...I’m okay, Ms. Stella... Actually...” Wisana smirked. “This is so good. I feel so light. I’ve never felt so good before.”

“Yes?” Stella raised her eyebrow.

“You’re right.” Shin clenched his fists. “I’ve never felt so strong. It’s as if...”

“You’ve gotten stronger.”

Baron finished the sentence. Everyone turned to her.

“Congratulations, you’ve passed ‘The Path To The Throne’ quest and this is the reward. Now, you’ve just received the ‘bonus status’ that added so much to you.”

“Bonus status?” The boys were confused.

“That’s right. People who can finish this quest will receive additional physical status without having to put on any item. For example, if you have 100 attack power, the bonus status will give you 1.25 times more, which will leave you with 125 in the end.”

Hearing that, the boys were excited and looked at themselves.

“Is it? No wonder why I can feel it.” Wisana beamed.

“Not just that. Look at your hand.” Baron pointed at Wisana’s hand. “You’ll receive that, too.”

They looked at their hand and found a big black ring with a crown on it.

“A ring?” Shin murmured.

“It’s actually ‘The King’s Ring’.” Baron smiled.

“The King’s Ring.” The boys repeated after her.

“It’s an A+ item.” She smirked. “Its ability is equal to a legendary item, but it’s only considered an A level. Vincent, you don’t have to worry about having more S items in possession than what the GMs allow.”

“...That’s right. They only allow 3 of those...”

Wisana just recalled it.

“The King’s Ring doubles the user’s HP and adds so much to various powers. You don’t need to wear anything but that. More importantly...” Baron beamed. “There’s another special skill that I’m sure will shock those Cores.”

Hearing that, the boys turned to look at her.

“What is it, aunty?” Wisana asked.

“I’ll teach you later, little Vincent.”

She winked at him.

Crash!

“Woahh! What’s that?!”

The huge plate in front of them was suddenly struck by random thunder. They looked at it and saw that the thunder was here to carve some letters on the plate. The recently carved text was still burning at the bottom of the plate.

“Don’t be alarmed. It only records the names of those who passed the quest.”

Baron said. Wisana narrowed his eyes and walked closer to the plate.

Once he got a good look at it, it was really a plate to record the names of those who had passed this hellish quest. The last names were his and Shin’s.

“Are these all those people?” Wisana murmured. “So few. There’re less than ten people.”

“You guys just made it ten.”

Wisana’s eyes were widely opened.

He pointed at Baron, speechless. He was trying to find the rudest word to describe this ferocious aunty. Was this her test? A dungeon with only eight people who had actually finished the quest?

Damn it!

This old cruel hag!

“I know what you’re about to say, little brat.” Baron smiled happily. “But you passed, right? And that’s all that matters. Or are you saying that my training doesn’t work?”

She asked, even though she knew that they would not be able to rebut. They all laughed, including Shin. They knew now that other than Maysa, it was Baron who could mess with Wisana like this!

Then, Baron took out her watch. She looked at it and pouted.

“Well, happy times sure fly.” She said.

“It’s extremely long for me,” Wisana complained.

“We’ll wrap it up here. Do you have an item to warp you back to the save point?”

“Yes.”

They said happily. Wisana only nodded.

“Good. Then, we’ll go offline here and will meet again tomorrow when we go online. You, Vincent, better go online as soon as possible.”

The boy raised his eyebrow.

“Why? Do you miss me?”

“Because your training isn’t over yet.”

Hearing that, Wisana could only let out a loud “Huh?” instead of continuing with his joke. Baron grinned.

“Do you really think it’s over, little brat? I only allow you to join the war, but I didn’t say that you’re ready to fight those guys.”

“What is this? Why only me? What about Shin? He needs more training, too, right?!”

“Nope. There’s nothing Shin has to do anymore. It’s all about practice now. I still have a lot waiting for you, though.” That smile was the most mischievous one from her.

“What the hell?!” Wisana screeched.

“Stop whining. The teacher’s command is final. You have to go online at 8 pm tomorrow, understood? You’re dead meat if you’re late!”

Swoosh~

She threw him a verbal bomb and vanished. She had already used the item to warp back to the save point. Wisana could only laugh awkwardly.

“M... My hell isn’t over?”

He cried. Shin put his hand on Wisana’s shoulder.

“What?!” The sad man asked.

“I’ll make sure to get your favorite things for the offerings.”

“I’m not dead~~!!!”

He could only scream out loud.

Well, it seemed like the five-day hellish training ended well(?)
