He complained and tried his best to push himself up. His amber eyes glanced up and saw only the thick smoke.

He winked and the girl’s face flushed red. He turned to his daughter and saw that she was pouting and about to cry. The father had to quickly stroke her cheek.

The little dragon pouted again. Wisana grinned and patted her head.

The girls let out laughter. Baron did, too, even though she was trying to hide it with a cough.

Wisana was still beaming. He did not have a glimpse of guilt on his face.

“Stay with me longer and you’ll get used to it, boy. I assure you that you won’t want to live without me.”

Shin let out a long sigh. A moment later, Baron sat down beside them and wrapped her arms around their shoulders with a happy smile.

“There, there, you both have done very well.”

Baron beamed at them. Wisana turned the other way.

“I don’t need your half-assed compliment.”

The boy turned another way and smiled. It felt so ticklish to be praised by this lady for the first time. A second later, the boys looked at each other and glanced up at Baron.

Wisana smiled happily. Shin sighed and smirked.

They looked at each other again and shook their heads wearily.

And again, they high-fived each other. The rest of them smiled. They did not expect them to get this close.
