Chapter 614: The Plea Part I

Chapter 614: The Plea Part I

“Yawnnn~~!!”

A long yawn sounded for the hundredth time. The amber eyes were looking ahead absent-mindedly while his rough hands were controlling the steering wheel. He clearly looked exhausted.

“Stop doing that, moron.”

The girl next to him scolded. The man blinked and let out a long sigh.

Why?

It was only several hours before that he had just passed Baron’s horrible tests. Once he got off the game, his life was still full of nonstop issues. He woke up and his sister and girlfriend dragged him out even before he realized what happened.

How he looked right now got the girl next to him to frown and talk to him in a low voice.

“If you don’t want to go, get out of the car.”

“Wait, why did you just tell me now, Ms. May? You should have told me earlier when we were still at home~!”

The man whined. He looked around him and saw a lot of cars on the road. And now she told him to get out of the car. If he did that, his brain would explode.

“Don’t raise your voice at me, Mr. Wisana.”

She pointed at him as an order for him to stay quiet. The man opened his arms teasingly and went back to the steering wheel with a long face.

“Why? Is taking your sister for a driving test that boring to you?”

Maysa moved closer to him. Wisana only sighed.

“I know that this is your holiday, but please at least give your sister some support, you heartless man.”

Wisana was nonchalant about that. He looked at the rearview mirror and saw that his sister was sitting at the back, closing her eyes. Her hands were moving as if she was driving with her imagination.

A cold sweat appeared on the brother’s face.

“But May, this is the fifth time.”

Wisana said wearily.

“And? It’s your duty to take her there anyway.”

Maysa scolded him.

“That’s true, but every time I take her for a test, it’s...”

“Don’t worry, big bro.”

Even though they were whispering, the conversation did not escape the girl with jade eyes. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled at her brother through the rearview mirror.

“I’ll pass this time.” Waree was firm.

“Good job, Nam.” Maysa smiled. “I’ve taken you for a test drive so many times. Don’t let this teacher down!”

“Of course!” Waree clenched her fists. “I’ll take the test result to dad as proof that I’m ready for the road now. And he’ll totally get me a Mini Cooper!”

The girls laughed so cheerfully.

The only man there sighed wearily. Tunwa was the man to blame. If he did not let Nam see his ‘Lemon’, the green Mini Cooper, it would have been a lot easier.

For the past several months, he was the one who had to take his sister to a driving test. The first three times, Nam failed the multiple-choice test, and Wisana did not even know there were people who actually failed it before because it was such a piece of cake.

Okay, there must have been someone who failed, but three times was still a lot!

Okay, even though she had already passed the multiple-choice test...

The driving test was a total disaster!

Because every time Nam borrowed his car for the test, it ended up...

“My Foggyyyyyyy~~!!!”

Wisana screeched while he went down on his knees and cuffed the tail light of his grey Honda Civic that was crushed to bits!

“Ehe... It was just a little mistake.”

“It’s okay, bestie, you still have the next chance.”

The girls were chatting happily. Waree hit her head softly and stuck her cute tongue out. Maysa patted her friend’s shoulder as if nothing had happened.

The brother turned to look maliciously at them.

“Stop acting like it’s not your fault!” He screamed. “I told you to rent a car at the place. Why did you have to use my Foggy?!”

“Well, I’m used to this one.” Waree stroked her lips.

“Stop whining. It was just a small mistake.”

Maysa said with a straight face. The owner of the car massaged his temples.

“Small? I don’t think so. Look how shitty my Foggy is!”

“That’s rude, Wisana!” Maysa scolded him.

“Na... Instead of soothing me, you’re scolding me? You’re cruel!”

Yeah... I was rude and cruel.

But who would be responsible for the tail light of ‘Foggy’ now? Last time, I did not know how, but Nam managed to tear the side mirror off. And this time, she celebrated Foggy out of the service center by breaking the tail light when she was reversing the car into the parking space!

And I just got it out of the repair garage...

My Foggyyyy~!

“What’s all the fuss in front of my house, brat.”

A low voice sounded and prompted everyone to turn to the source. A tall man in a casual shirt and shorts was there. There were pruners in his hand. He was clearly very laid-back.

“Daddy!”

As soon as Waree saw him walking down the stairs in a gigantic mansion, Waree dashed towards him and gave him a big hug.

“Hey, my lovely daughter. I just recalled that we’re going out for a meal together, yes?”

“That can wait. You know, Na is very cruel. I didn’t pass the driving test and he scolded me.”

She took that chance to tell her dad that, leaving her brother blinking aimlessly.

“Aww... I’ll take care of him for you.”

Mr. Mavin, who was so cheerful he put his hair up into twin tails, glared at his son.

“Na, you’re such a useless brother. I told you to look after your sister. Why did you do that to her!?”

The son did not answer. He stood up and pointed at what his daughter had done. The dad was shocked for a short while before his facial expression changed back so swiftly.

“A... Anyway! It’s still your fault. What kind of a big brother are you not teaching your little sister to drive properly? You deserve this. You didn’t want to teach her and this is what you get!”

“The accumulated hours of my teaching can actually make her a general of the air force.”

The old man halted.

“That means you taught her wrong!”

“Will you be responsible or not?” Wisana asked with a low voice. The dad was frozen in place.

“It’s your car, you manage. You bought it, right?” Mavin smiled mischievously.

“Fine!”

He put a stress on his word and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. Mavin was startled by that action and his face got so pale when he realized who Wisana was calling.

“Mom?” Wisana smiled happily. “I have something to tell you.”

“Fine! I’ll pay for the repair!”

Mavin quickly shouted. The boy gave out a mischievous smirk. He pointed at his dad as if to ask, “You promise?” and the old man nodded.

“The chili paste that you taught me last time, what’s the recipe again?”

Wisana shrugged at his dad and got into the car to grab something. Mavin raised his fists and swore at his son.

Maysa could only suppress her laughter as much as she could. She knew that her boyfriend would do this and Mavin would have to fall victim to something he did not commit because of his beloved daughter!

Mavin glanced at Maysa.

Just like that and the eyes of the 50-year-old man sparkled. Maysa only smiled awkwardly.

“Oh, my daughter-in-law-to-be! How are you? Still as pretty as ever.”

He walked up to her and was about to give her a hug when a big paper bag was shoved in between them. Mavin gritted his teeth and turned to look at the man who was holding the bag.

“Souvenirs from Chiang Mai, Father.” Wisana smiled sweetly like daddy’s little angel.

“Thank you very much, my son!” The dad could only talk through his teeth.

You flirty old fart!

You stingy son!

Even though they did not say it, their eyes showed it. Maysa and Waree laughed at them.

It looked like it would be another tiring day... Maysa thought.
