Chapter 61: Entice the Tiger to Leave its Lair (1) Part I
“Is this for real? You’re going to the same university as me?”
“Yup! I just got accepted a few days ago.”
The delighted voice replied while she was carrying a medium-sized box into her room diligently. Her cute face was painted with a lively smile. She was wearing Wisana’s large T-shirt and a pair of jeans his older sister left here. It was lucky that Waree could fit perfectly in them, or he would not have anything else to lend her either.
The stepsiblings had been carrying packages the moving service left them for ten minutes now.
“So, you’re going to be my junior at university next semester, too?” Wisana smiled as he was carrying a box, following her inside.
“I am. Please take care of me, too, my senior.” Waree said before giggling.
“Well, I actually have a friend in BA. Maybe I should tell them to give a special initiation just for you.”
“AH! Don’t tease me. I’m worried about it already. My friend told me that there was always hazing in Thai universities. And that’s kind of scary.”
“Come on. How is it scary? It’s just about weird dancing and singing your faculty songs. That’s all.”
Wisana put down the large box he was holding on Waree’s bed. Her room was full of five more similar boxes, a set of computers, and a 40-inch LCD screen television.
The pair of his light brown eyes looked around, then he sighed, thinking that it would take a lot of time to unpack and set up her stuff. Usually, the room was just for a guest to spend the night here. Who would have thought that one day it would become someone’s permanent bedroom?
“Did you get all your stuff?” Wisana asked.
“I did,” the girl replied with a smile while she was sitting on the bed.
“Now, what’s next? Do you want me to help you unpack? Because there seems to be a lot of things to do here,” he said as he looked at the packages that were scattered everywhere in her room.
She was a girl anyway. Her things were supposed to be a lot.
“You want to help me unpack? Aw, you’re so nice.”
“Of course, I’m going to start with this one, okay?”
After that, the nice one rolled up his sleeves, getting ready to work. Then, he sat down on the floor and opened the box very enthusiastically. And that got an amused smile on the sweet face of Waree, before she got up from the bed and got ready to tidy up her stuff, too.
PRUDD!!
But just the first box already got him choked on his saliva.
He just hit the jackpot from the very beginning!
The pretty amber eyes widened, the mouth gasped, and the hands were frozen. He was dumbfounded about what to do next, and these actions were all in Waree’s eyes.
“What’s wrong, Na? Why are you shaking?”
“Huh? Oh!” The brother jumped. “N ...nothing, but I think I shouldn’t unpack this one. You do it yourself,” he was stuttering as he hastily handed the box to her, before he crawled to another box to open. The other one tilted her head curiously as she watched him go, before those big round eyes looked down at the box her brother just shoved into her hands. Then, she understood it right away.
The box she was holding was stored with clothes. Apart from casual wear piling up in it, there were also many pairs of bras on the top, too. Her face appeared with a naughty, cunning smile, but it still looked attractive like a little angel somehow.
“Hey...”
“I didn’t see anything, not even the pants, or the panties. No pink. No white, nothing,” the shy one just confessed everything, making the listener burst out a loud laugh.
“You got all the colors correct though.”
“...” the retorting got Wisana speechless, so he acted busy by turning away to open the new box instead.
“Aw... you’re so embarrassed. You’re like a kid, Na, so innocent. Just seeing some underwear, and your face got all reddened up to your ears.” She was having fun teasing him, before she saw the shy, shaking one was grabbing a thick photo album just to fake being busy. And that made the sister gasp, leaping to get it back in no time.
“That one, you can’t!”
“Hey!”
Before he realized it, the small hand already snatched the book from his hand. Her face was blushing so badly while she was possessively holding the photo book to her chest.
“Wow,” Wisana smirked. “What’s up with that book? Why do you look so possessive over it?”
“N ...nothing,” Waree stuttered, trying to come up with an excuse.
“Could it be your childhood photos in that book? Yeah, maybe some photos of your butt naked in a bathtub. That’d be funny. Let me see.” Hearing that, the smaller one flinched so hard.
“No, it’s not! And you can’t!”
“Well, seeing you trying to cover up something, I’m even more curious about the photos inside. Come on, let me have a look. Just a few pages wouldn’t hurt.”
“NO!” The other still insisted firmly, making the older brother laugh aloud before shaking his head.
“Alright, alright, I won’t look. Unless you leave it unattended.”
“Na!”
“I’m kidding. It’s your private stuff, I’ll just leave it alone. If I want to see your childhood photos, I’m sure there’re plenty of them at Dad’s house.”
He sounded half playful and half serious, making the one who was being teased frown with a sulking face big time. She kept the photo album away from her annoying brother before she continued to unpack her packages again quietly. And Wisana let out a chuckle at this.
He started working again, too. His eyes were caught by another thing that looked familiar. It was a small box with words printed on the front, saying ‘Pride Online’.
It was the P.M. console, wasn’t it?
The man raised his eyebrows, holding up the console.
“Nam.”
“What is it now, Na? Are you having problems with my stuff again?”
“You play this game, too?” Her green eyes looked at the device in his hand before she raised her eyebrows a little.
“Yeah, it’s the P.M. why?”
“Nothing. I was just asking.”
“Well, it’s a game from my grandpa’s company anyway. How would I miss it?” The sweet voice replied plainly. “I’d been playing on the U.S. server, before I transferred my character here. It was such a difficult process, though. Why’d you ask? Do you play the Pride, too?”
“Huh? Oh, n... no I don’t,” Wisana stuttered, denying it. “But many of my friends do, so I was just asking.”
He tried to cover it up, and it seemed to work. Because Waree just walked to take that box from him, not interested in asking him anything more. Unlike the older one who started to have an uncomfortable look on his face.
This was bad. It meant that now he had more people from real life in the game and that he had to be more careful.
“Na, could you set up the computer for me, please?”
