Chapter 602 - 5 Hell Stages Part VI

Chapter 602 - 5 Hell Stages Part VI

“Are you okay?” Wisana asked.

“Just climb. I’ll be right there.”

Hearing that, Wisana shrugged a little. Even though he was concerned about the guy, he knew in his heart that he would do everything in his ability to reach the top, even if he died.

Wisana leaned back to look below, wanting to know how far they had come. However, he had to pull his head back immediately since he could not even see the ground. He did not even realize that it was this far!

He really wanted to know the mind of this dungeon’s designer. How come there was a mountain this tall in the dungeon forty-eight floors below the surface? And there was nothing other than this freaking mountain. It was easy enough to guess that the exit was at the top. Damn it!

“Hungryyyy!” Wisana shouted and continued to climb. “If nothing goes into my tummy in ten minutes, my stomach will wither.”

“You think you’re alone in that?”

Shin said. Wisana let out a disapproving scoff.

But it was true. It had been over twenty-four hours that they had not even had a drop of water in their system. Their lips were cracked and dry. Their hands were sore. Their fingers were all wounded from the climbing.

He had never been this pathetic.

“I know it’s only two floors left, but can we do it in this condition?”

Shin asked softly. It was the first time that he showed weakness. He had never thought that Baron’s training would be this hard. He could not even guess what was waiting for them after that.

“Of course, we can!”

Wisana shouted back delightfully.

Shin looked up at him and saw that Wisana was offering him his hand to pull himself up to the top.

He saw a cheeky smile on that dirty face. Even in this situation, this guy had never thought of giving up. He would also pass on his mental strength to others.

“If we give up now, that means we lose to that hag.”

Wisana said. Shin scoffed softly.

“I don’t want to win. I just want to be stronger.”

“And what strong people would be stupid enough not wanting to win?”

Hearing that, Shin chuckled and grabbed Wisana’s hand. Wisana used his last bit of strength to pull Shin up to the top. Then, they sank down and lay there, panting heavily.

Not so long after that, they looked each other in the eye. Wisana, then, gritted his teeth and pushed himself up to sit.

“Next is the forty-ninth floor. Let’s grit our teeth and move on for just a little bit more, my bro.”

“Mhmm.”

----------------

“Come to think of it, the forty-ninth floor was unexpectedly plain.”

Stella said while she was holding a warm coffee cup in her hands. Baron, who was lying on the floor, reading a romantic comic book and eating chips, turned to look at her.

“That floor?” Baron smiled. “It was for rest. Other than being a gathering place for monsters level 200 for you to gain experiences and items, it’s also very cozy. There are herbs that you can collect, too.”

She put another potato chip in her mouth.

“Then, there’s no test?” Stella asked.

“Nope.” Baron waved her hand. “If they’re wise, they’d stall time on that floor to recover and collect a lot of potions. They should also fill their stomach to be ready for the next fight. Once they get here, the most horrifying test is waiting for them.

“Are you sure that you’ll test them here?” Stella asked worriedly.

“Nah...” Baron smiled happily. “When they reach here, there’s nothing to fear anymore.”

Hearing that, Stella nodded. She thought that it was good that the dungeon was not that bad to the point that it killed the travellers.

She sipped her coffee in a big gulp and swept her eyes around again. It seemed like what amazed her now was Baron’s bottomless stomach. She had been eating since they got here. She would need three trash bags to throw away all her snack bags and wraps.

“Ms. Baron,” Stella called her.

“Yes?”

“Do you also eat this many snacks in real life?”

“Something like that, yes. Why?”

“Are you not scared of getting fat?”

“....!”

----------------

“Ahhhh~~~!! This is it! The first gulp of water that I’ve never tasted in a long time!”

A cheerful voice rang so happily after drinking the freezing cold black potion. He loved that the game let him choose how he liked his potion: hot, warm, room temperature, or freezing cold. The cold helped a lot, especially when he was super thirsty!

BOOM!!!

Suddenly, the sound of a hard object whipping on the ground was so loud that Wisana had to lean to the side a little, even though he did not see what it was. He looked up and saw a wild boar-like monster standing there on its hind legs and holding a giant axe.

“Well, well, this is nice. So many monsters with high EXP for me.”

Then, Wisana charged at the ‘Killer Wild Boar’. At the same time, he covered his fist with his magic flames and threw the ‘Flame Tower’ punch at the boar. The attack was so severe that it was the one and final blow.

“Wisana successfully killed Killer Wild Boar and received 4,700,000 EXP.”

“Wisana is now at level 175.”

Jinnie’s voice sounded. The tall figure landed on the ground and beamed.

“Hey, Shin! I levelled up again. What level are you now?”

BOOM!!

The explosion occurred in another direction. Shin, chewing his beef jerky, came out with a mummy monster that dropped to the ground.

“Shindanai is now at level 189.”

That sound was Shin’s AI. Wisana pouted and pointed at the jerky in Shin’s mouth.

“Hey, that’s raw. You’ll get diarrhea if you don’t cook it first.”

“I take anything that fills me.”

Then, the quiet man ran off the other way, fighting another enemy with his spear. Wisana shrugged and went the opposite way with a magic light glowing on his hands.

It was not that spacious here. There were some trees, streams, and no hardships at all. The monsters were at a high level and easy to deal with. They gave them good EXP points and items.

That was why there was an army of monster corpses here now.

Without even realizing it, the boys had gotten so sharp and flawless with their movements. They had improved so much. And their level was very high.

“I think it’s good to stall time here, don’t you think?” Wisana said happily.

“I do.”

Shin answered after piercing the Longinus through the bull monster’s throat.

“We should collect power-up items from here. If I recall correctly, Baron said that there’s the final test waiting for us on the next floor.”

Wisana smiled cheerfully and pushed the head of a mummy monster with a sword onto the ground and cracked its skull.

“Just you wait. I’ll surprise her so much she can’t close her mouth.”

After that, they kept fighting and killing until every monster on that floor was murdered within only two hours. They collected the items and EXP until they gained 2-3 more levels. Then, they cooked from raw ingredients. Wisana started his first meal in a long while with restaurant-quality food. He swore that Shin ate as many as twenty of his fried spring rolls!

Then, it was time to go to sleep. They had ten hours left, so they thought that they should be fine leaving five hours for the last floor.

Their sleep was nice. Because of the fatigue that they had been suffering from, Wisana only had to lean against a big rock and he immediately drifted. As for Shin, after building a bonfire to keep the monsters out, he was too tired to make his bed. He ended up sleeping on the grass and using his arms as a pillow.

“No nightmares, please.”

Shin muttered softly before he drifted to sleep.

They slept so soundly like a baby without knowing that the most dangerous and challenging test was waiting for them.
