Chapter 599 - 5 Hell Stages Part III
Chapter 599 - 5 Hell Stages Part III
“I think you better spend your complaining time searching for a way down, Vincent.”
“Tsk.”
Wisana clicked his tongue. Suddenly, they had to halt their feet because of what they saw in front of them. It was not a dead end. It was a human-sized rectangle tunnel with torches on the walls. They looked at each other and smiled.
Finally, a way down!
Clap!
They gave each other a high-five and rushed forward. Wisana grabbed one of the torches to replace the one he had been holding for a long time.
“It’d be great if the monsters drop food. We’re almost running out and I’m so hungry I can eat a bear.”
He raised the torch up to be able to see the steps in front of them. Shin grabbed another torch to help and make sure that there were no monsters hiding around here.
“Drink the blue potion, if you’re hungry,” Shin suggested.
“Nah. I want meat or something I can chew. I’m not sick that I have to live off the potions.”
The quiet man chuckled softly.
“You’re impossible.”
“Of course, a chef’s like this. I wish they’d drop some ingredients for me to cook. We haven’t eaten anything since this morning.”
“But I want the next floor to be narrow, no maze, and no monsters.”
“Go back in town, then, moron.”
Shin pushed Wisana’s head jokingly.
They cautiously walked down the steps and eventually stopped at the entrance of the forty-sixth floor. They looked each other in the eye and nodded before pushing the gigantic stone gate open. The sound of the stone screeching against the floor that came at the same time with the cool breeze and the sweet smell was strangely familiar to Wisana.
However, when they looked up, what they saw was...
“Why so dark?” Wisana muttered. “Did someone forget to pay the electricity bill?”
The lavender eyes looked around scrutinizingly. He did not see anything except darkness. However, he could hear the sound of water and insects, and sense the sweet smell of various flowers.
It was truly quiet...
Yes, too quiet.
“Be careful,” Shin said softly.
“I know that.”

“Jinnie, may I have another cup of tea?”
“Yes, Mistress Baron.”
The sweet voice of the AI said before she brought out a teapot and poured the tea into the white ceramic cup in the hand of the masked lady.
“Anything else?”
Jinnie asked while she was still floating above the bonfire where Baron and Stella were sitting. The woman looked at the AI and smiled.
“No, thank you. I’ll call you if I need anything.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Jinnie made the teapot in her hand disappear and floated to Sarquros and Mona Lisa, who looked so worried and desperate at the exit.
On the fiftieth floor of the dungeon, it was a two-thousand-square-meter-sized room with torches around. The walls were carved with ancient Egyptian patterns. Some looked beautiful, while some looked strangely terrifying. At the end of the path, there was a beautifully patterned coffin with two statues of a soldier holding a spear guarding it.
Baron had taken everyone here for half an hour after they parted with Wisana and Shin. They were resting after taking Sarquros and Mona Lisa training on the forty-ninth floor just now.
Even though Baron told them to rest because she wanted them to train again in two hours, they could not do it. They constantly looked at the entrance and prayed that their ‘husband and father’ were doing fine!
“It seems like they’re worried about Leader that they can’t sleep.”
Stella sipped her coffee in a ceramic cup and told Baron.
“Nonsense.” Baron scoffed. “It’s not like those pricks will be here soon. Even with their full speed, I’m sure the fastest will be tomorrow evening.”
She sipped her tea and bit into her beef jerky.
“Are you sure this is good?” Stella asked.
“What?” Baron asked while chewing.
“Letting them come down here alone, I mean.”
Baron giggled and put the cup down on the floor.
“It’s good. Like I said, before this, it was only a warm-up. The real deal is from the forty-sixth to the fiftieth floor.”
Stella smiled awkwardly.
“If it’s that important, why didn’t you help them train yourself instead of letting them figure it out alone?”
The masked lady laughed before having another bite of her beef jerky.
“Because I took you here pretty easily, that’s why you didn’t notice.” Baron smiled happily. “From the forty-sixth floor, it’s hell. There’re not only monsters for us to train, but also tests that will prove so many things. If you’re not good enough, you’re finished. That’s why it’s no use if I helped them, Am I right?”
She pointed the jerky at Stella before putting the whole thing in her mouth. Stella only stroked her cheek.
“Is this training really useful?” She asked.
“Of course.” Baron nodded. “From the forty-sixth floor down, it’s the best place to improve your senses. I know they’re good and the monsters here are at level 200 at the highest, which is a piece of cake to them. However, their senses and the control of the Signetic still suck. These stages will sharpen them.”
Baron smiled and grabbed another jerky. She bit into it while smiling.
“The first stage on the forty-sixth floor... I only think of it and it entertains me.”
“How so?” Stella narrowed her eyes.
“It tests your smelling sense. You remember how dark that room is, right?”
Stella raised her eyebrow a little and tried to recall it. She could barely remember anything because it was very dark. Baron held her hand all the way to the forty-seventh floor even before she realized it.
“...Yes, it was so dark I couldn’t see anything. I was confused how you could walk past it without lighting a torch to see the path.”
“No can do.” Baron waved her hand. “You can’t light any fire on that floor, otherwise you’re dead meat.”

Rustle~!
Wisana waved his torch around, trying to search for a way out of this floor. However, what he saw was even more surprising. It was a thick forest, and they had no clue how it ended up here in the dungeon. There was even a slow-flowing stream at their feet.
“A rainforest in the dungeon?” Wisana made a wry face.
“What’s next? A beach?” Shin was being sarcastic. Wisana laughed.
“Which means we have to go through this forest for the exit?”
Wisana asked while waving the torch around again. The trees were so thick he could not see anything past them.
“Isn’t this what you want?” Shin said. “There should be mushrooms or herbs for you to collect and cook here in the forest.”
“I told you I want meat.”
Wisana sighed and continued waving his torch. There was only darkness here.
Crack~!
Suddenly, the sound of someone stepping on a tree branch was heard. The two boys with high hearing sense were startled and quickly whipped their torch at the source almost at the same time. Even though it was only darkness that they saw, they looked at each other. It was obvious to them that...
They were being watched!
