Chapter 585: A Surprising Improvement! Part II
Chapter 585: A Surprising Improvement! Part II
“Meanwhile, Shin gained fourteen, even though his level is about forty more than you. What does this mean?”
Wisana looked at Shin as if to ask for his suggestion. Shin only shrugged back. Wisana killed even more monsters than he did.
“Maybe the system knows that I’m better than him and tries to bully me?”
Pow!
That answer got the new bar of ‘Kitdoc’ flying and hitting his forehead so hard that he fell on his back and rolled around in pain.
“How is that even possible?!” Baron scolded.
“I know I’m not a good boy, but you didn’t have to throw a chocolate bar at me!”
Wisana cried out and stood up.
At that moment, she noticed something in Wisana. There was something shiny that caught her eye: a shiny black choker and a silver bracelet with keys with a Swastika pattern. Both shone brightly against the light from the torches.
Right then, Baron let out a long sigh.
“I think I know why.”
----------------
“Nam, defend me with your magic again!”
“Okay, Tun!”
The first shout came from a tall figure who was shielding himself from the monsters. Not so long after that, a golden bright light shone out of him before the giant light shield was created as a second layer of barrier for him.
BOOM!!!
Followed by the noise of something hitting the barrier. The man’s arm that was holding the shield shook so much because of the impact. The gigantic hand of a sand monster in front of him could not penetrate the shield. Not only that but its attack was countered by the skill of the reflect shield!
“Now, May!”
“On it!”
A second later, a thin figure used the man’s shoulder as a base to step on and jumped into the air. She shot a golden bullet out of her strange-looking handgun.
Lock Short
Bang!
37,751!
The first bullet shot directly at the enemy. At that moment, enormous black chains appeared where the bullet hit and plunged into the ground in every direction to lock the monster in place.
And before the girl landed on the ground again, she switched to another gun and aimed.
Swift Shot
Bang!
124,885!
A red bullet was shot out of the gun and caused so much damage. What was more surprising was that the bullet ran through the sand monster and created a great hole in it. On its head, a shield and a sword image switched places.
“Its attack and defense got switched. It’s your turn, Kong!!”
The gunner shouted. A boy dashed through the shield of the tank man with an incredible speed. The small man reached the sand monster in no time. He put his hands together as if he were doing Tai Chi and hit the monster in the torso with all his might!!
The fifth hand: Magic Overflow
Bursting Hand!
BOOM!!
89,666!
The sand monster’s back burst out with a big gulp of flames that gushed out of it. The boy quickly jumped back to the safe place!
“Its magic defense is gone now. Finish it, Angie!”
The girl pointed her magic staff at the monster. While she was casting the spell, another girl ran to her. She put her hands on Angie’s and started to cast another spell to strengthen it.
Order of Heaven
*A special skill for a supporting magician. It increased the attack of that particular magic two times. However, while the spell is used, the caster will not be able to move. If the magic is cancelled, the support will be gone instantly.
Angie was now covered in a golden light. In the blink of an eye, the girl’s ruby-red eyes were opened and the top of her staff was shining brightly.
The Pillar of Inferno
BOOM!!!
7,885,698!
A big flame ball dashed out from the ground where the monster was. It did not even have a chance to scream before it was burnt to ashes.
The girl flicked her magic staff and made a victory pose.
“Nice!” She clenched her fist.
Everyone in the party looked at each other with a victorious smile. Suddenly, a clap prompted everyone to turn around.
“Great job.”
Sander shouted, feeling so satisfied with the outcome. He still clapped his hands for the kids who had been doing their best to deal with the monsters. Leonard and Lala appeared to be proud, too.
“You’ve taken down the sand moth within only twenty minutes. Not bad at all. It looks good.”
The old man complimented them. Aerin walked up to Tunwa and started to heal him. He was the man who seemed to be getting the most damage in the party.
“It must have been tough.” Aerin smiled.
“Hehe. Not really. You, too. You have to heal me again.” Tunwa smiled back.
“I’m only doing my job.”
The man nodded at her and slowly sank to the ground, letting the girl continue her job.
“Whoever wants any potion, I have everything for you.”
Without hesitation, Lala and Leonard quickly brought out a red cooler with many kinds of chilled potions inside.
“Can I have a pixie, please, Ms. Lala?” Kongkiat cried.
“And blue potion for me, please.” Maysa walked to the cooler and grabbed the potion herself.
“Leny, get me the biggest lemonade,” Angle called the doggo.
“What about you, Ms. Waree?” Lala asked.
“I’m fine. Take care of the rest for me.”
Waree smiled at her. She seemed to be the most intact one in this party since she did not have to fight the monsters directly. She only had to support the rest of them from the outside.
Judging from the look of it, it seemed like this group of people was a lot more entertaining than Baron’s. There were Lala and Leonard who always took care of people. Aerin was good at healing. And the teacher was not as brutal.
Maysa started to think that maybe Uncle Sander was not as bad as she thought!
“Then, let’s rest here for another ten minutes and we’ll move on to the twelfth floor.”
The kids opened their eyes widely and stared at the old man.
“WHAT~!?”
They shouted.
“Didn’t you tell us that after the sand moth, we’ll be able to take a nap?”
Maysa cried out. It was true that everyone seemed fine, and Lala had already given them a pixie potion to increase their strength.
But come on! It had been nine hours. A nap would not hurt, right?!
“Please, old man. I want to rest. Can’t we continue tomorrow morning?” Tunwa raised.
“My body’s so sticky. I want to take a shower.” Waree pouted.
Crash!
There was not any word nor yelling, only a hand that squeezed a potion so hard the bottle broke. He did it with a smiling face. The kids’ faces turned pale.
“Well, well, don’t be so selfish.” Sander smiled. “Have you ever heard that we should strike the iron while it’s hot? The training is the same. If we keep slacking off, the Gods won’t be happy.”
Sander’s eyes shone brightly. The kids got goosebumps.
Especially Maysa. She swallowed her saliva in a big gulp.
S...scary~!
“So, no one’s objecting anymore?”
Sander asked again. The kids shook their heads so fast.
“Good job.” He smiled. “Then, before we rest for ten minutes, let me make a speech.”
