Chapter 583: The Goal is The Fiftieth Floor Part IV

Chapter 583: The Goal is The Fiftieth Floor Part IV

“Why? We finished them all, didn’t we?” Wisana argued.

Pow!

Wisana’s head was attacked by Baron’s flicking fingers that he had to cover his head and screamed!

“That hurts!”

“Good, so you learn,” Baron yelled at him. “First, you barely did things together in the fight. Why would you be together in the first place if you can’t be bothered to cooperate? Don’t be so proud of yourself, kid. Look at you.”

Baron pointed at Wisana.

“A lot of your wounds wouldn’t have happened if you fought together. Okay, the wounds aren’t severe, but if the monsters were better and faster than what you just encountered, they would be. I don’t care if you’re confident with your speed and instinct, but you really should learn to predict the outcome. Let me ask you this, is your dad an item creator? Is that why you used so many magic crystals with these weak monsters?”

The boy did not know what to say. He only turned away and played with his hands. Baron was right.

“But that’s my way of fighting.”

“The way of a loser!” She scolded.

Stella was trying to stoop down and heal Wisana, but Baron pushed the boy away from her.

“No need to heal him. He can lick them clean himself.” Her smile was so wicked that Stella could only make a wry face.

“I’m not a dog,” Wisana muttered.

“And you, little Shin.” Baron turned to the other boy. “It’s not wrong to believe in what you think, but you should believe in others, too. At least it’ll keep you from straining yourself. I know you know better, unlike him.”

“Hey...” Wisana drawled.

“...” Shin only glanced at Baron.

“One more thing. Your weapon is very powerful, I get it. However, it’s apparent that you’re not used to it just yet. This is the best time to train. Make sure to get used to it within five days, or just throw it away. You don’t look like you’re swinging it, but the other way around. You understand what I mean, right?”

“Yes.”

Shin answered with a firm voice. It looked like he did not question Baron at all because her words were full of reliability. She surely talked from her own experience.

There was only one who pouted with that.

“Why is it only me who gets thrown up on?”

Pow!

Baron’s shin straightly hit the boy’s side, making him bend with pain.

“What did you just say, punk?” Baron gritted her teeth.

“N-Nothing.”

He knew now that being close to this woman did not do any good. Good grief, is she a military commander or some shit? So cruel!!

“Kids.”

Baron muttered. She walked and looked around. Then, she grabbed a torch and put it in front of the rest of them.

“What time is it, Stella?” Baron asked.

“Ahhh... Noon, Ms. Baron.”

“Great!” She scoffed and turned around. “You lost half an hour on the tenth floor, you little pricks! How can you even reach the fiftieth floor in five days?”

Wisana and Shin went quiet. Shin narrowed his eyes and asked.

“What do you mean, the fiftieth floor?”

“Your goal,” Viola answered, irritated.

The boys were surprised by her words.

“Calm down, sis. Are you for real?” Wisana asked. “You want us to reach the last level here, even though less than ten people have been there before this?”

“Yeah.” The masked woman muttered.

The boys were speechless. To be honest, the monsters here were strong enough that they could barely make it. If they had to fight through to the last floor... Woah... They would have been stooped before they were strong.

“Why? Backing off already?”

Baron asked. The boy was startled.

“If you can’t do this, don’t even think about fighting the Core.” Baron’s words got Wisana startled. “They all got to the last floor here by themselves within only two hours. Compared to you guys, it’s like father and son. If you can’t even do this, just go offline and leave Pride for your own safety.”

Wisana frowned tightly and looked the other way. He was irritated that the woman always put pressure on him.

“I didn’t say I wasn’t doing it,” Wisana said.

“Then, put your ass up and let’s go. There’s no time to be weak!”

Baron shouted angrily. She did not expect Wisana to grow this slowly. At first, she hoped that he was good enough that only a small training was enough. She was dead wrong. He had the foundation of it, but he was so lazy!

Bad kid!

Wisana stood up and pulled Shin up with him. They did not say anything and walked past Baron with their irritating faces.

“Will they really be alright?!” Baron complained. The others could only laugh nervously.

Meanwhile, in Tristan, the center of Pride.

“This isn’t funny, Lucius!”

A shout was heard from the VIP room in the first-class hotel. The tanned girl with amber eyes put her hands on her waist and looked at the red-haired man who was reading a pocket book.

“Calm down, Ms. Miguel. It isn’t that bad.”

A man with long hair and silver glasses said calmly with a happy face. He was sitting on a sofa, playing chess with a blonde-haired man.

“You’re too calm, Nero!”

The tanned girl yelled at him. Nero raised her hands up as if he was going to say that he had given up.

“Calm down, Miguel. I know you’re scared of Viola, but don’t worry. I’ll take care of her.”

The red-haired man said calmly. However, the girl was still in a panic that she had to look away, biting her nails.

“But that’s Viola we’re talking about.” She murmured.

“It’s quite shocking. I didn’t expect Viola to come out this way and with so many people on her side. Even Ms. Miguel, who’s an expert on the world, couldn’t predict it.”

Miguel glared at Nero. Allen had to give him a “Stop teasing her, prick.” look. Nero only shrugged.

“What are we to do, Lucius?” Another girl in the room who was sipping her tea asked. “You want us to steal the Key of Forbidden first? There’s a chance that Viola ordered her son to go offline so that we can’t steal it.”

Lucius smiled gently at that. He slowly walked to the big window in the room and said,

“It’s better to stay still for now.”

The rest of them looked at each other before Allen broke the silence.

“Are you sure?” He asked. “If we let it go, wouldn’t we be in trouble later? And now the boy is reunited with his mother.”

“That’s why we shouldn’t, Allen.” Lucius smiled. “If we’re to invade them now, we don’t know what Viola’s going to welcome us with. But if she is to come here herself, I’m willing to prepare her a warm welcome.”

Scarlet, the girl who was sipping her tea, let out a long sigh.

“And what about the boy? What if he actually goes offline?”

“No need to worry about that,” Lucius said. “I’m sure Viola won’t do that.”

“What makes you think so?” Nero asked.

“Because for her, that boy is the only chance to win.” Everyone went quiet. “She won’t let go of her last chance, I’m sure of it.”

“What about the Cataral?” Scarlet asked. “Are you sure to let Sven do what he likes? It was clearly the declaration of war and he’s calling his friends to join him in Tristan.”

Lucius went quiet as if he was thinking about something. Allen scoffed.

“Does that mean Vincent is siding with Sven now?”

“And that man even gave his friend to Sven as a guild ambassador,” Nero said cheerfully with a mischievous smile

“That’s a good way to win the heart of someone!” Allen joked.

“Don’t worry.”

Lucius said calmly with a stoic face. Yet, his ruby-red eyes were glowing so brightly that everyone got goosebumps from them.

“No matter what they’ll be doing, even with the mother and son together, I challenge them to come at me. I’ll give both of them a cut to the neck myself when the time comes.”
