Chapter 582: The Goal is The Fiftieth Floor Part III

Chapter 582: The Goal is The Fiftieth Floor Part III

The Nasen dungeon, or what people called ‘Fifty Levels of Hell’, was a dungeon located to the south of the desert. The dungeon shaped like a tall pyramid, but the inside required people to walk down, instead of up. Even though it was very popular among players of any profession, they mostly stopped at level thirty. There were only a few people who were able to go beyond that. In the history of this game, less than ten people had gone to the last level.

Rumor had it that the players who were able to get to the last level would receive an SSS item. However, no one had ever confirmed that since those who had been there did not want to tell anyone. Some of them even stopped playing the game already. That was why it was still a mystery until now.

The inside of the dungeon was simply decorated with rocks that were put one after another like a historic site in the ancient Egypt period.

And now, the men from the Nemesis had already realized how brutal the dungeon was.

“Shin, you little... You’re in my way!”

“That’s my line. I thought you said that we should divide the place into zones?”

“Then, go tell those guys to stay in their zone”

The boys continued to argue while they were standing in the spacious room in the dungeon with the small lights from the torches that illuminated the path. They were actually surrounded by mummy assassins, minotaurs, leo sphinxes, and even black golems with the unimaginably thickest shells.

There were no less than fifty of them. Other than not being able to see anything, they even realized that the other one of them was both a dead weight and so annoying!

“Aghhh! What is this test? And why do I have to be with a cold-blooded man who doesn’t listen!?”

Wisana shouted so loudly before evading a giant axe of the minotaur. It hit and broke the ground to bits.

“You need a mirror at home, Vincent!” Shin said before he turned around and plunged the Longinus into one of the mummy assassins. “Before you give an order, shouldn’t you stop yourself from doing something stupid first, Vincent?”

“What did you say?!”

“Too lazy to repeat!”

Even though they were arguing, they still continued to fight the enemies skillfully.

The people who were watching them from a high place could only sigh. Three women and a girl watched the fight from afar. One smiled satisfyingly, one looked worried, and one was surprised at how much energy the boys had. The last pair of eyes were clearly displeased.

“This is worse than I thought,” Baron said with a low voice.

“E-Eh? Why? I think they’re doing well. No, very well.”

Stella asked. The older woman exhaled harshly. She was standing on a higher path, which was a path to the ground below.

Baron had decided to take her student here about two hours after leaving the secret base close to Aeneas. And now they were at level ten. The first mission from Baron was for them to sweep out all the monsters.

Wisana thought that it was easy and that he should be able to do it, but he was wrong.

First, there were about five hundred monsters on this level. Second, they were at least at level eighty. And third, the most displeasing one, Baron had attached the monster bells* (An item used to attract monsters to players. They ranged from white to gold level. The one Wisana used was gold, which was the best one.) to Shin and him. The monsters were attacking them like crazy because of the sound of the bells!

“They’re fighting on their own, not teamwork.” Baron sighed. “If they were a football player, they’d only keep the ball to themselves and they’d eventually be crushed to death. Sheesh.”

Baron looked weary. She stared at the boys who kept killing one monster after another on their own. She thought that this was no different from a thug fight. There was no need for skills or plans. Fighting was enough for them.

The more she thought about it, the wearier she felt.

“I have to admit that the little Vincent is really good with his reaction and a sharp reflex. But it was all from his instinct. There’s no plan and he’s reckless. This kind of person would die if he only missed a step.”

She looked at Shin.

“Shin’s fine, too. He’s cool and calm. How he moves and his reflexes are flawless. He’s even better than that silly Vincent. However, he’s too proud. He doesn’t think about depending on others. He may be thinking that Vincent is a dead weight. If he encountered those with good teamwork, he’d be doomed.”

Baron scratched her head. She stooped down and scrutinized the two boys.

“This is bad. How can I train these stubborn kids?”

She put her hands on her legs. Stella and Sarquros looked at Baron with amazed faces. It was because Baron could see through the men so clearly with only one look.

“I hope Sander’s having it easier than me.”

----------------

“AHHHHH~~!”

“May, hurry up!”

“Ah ah ah! I hate that they can penetrate the magic shield!”

“Hey, you! Stop panicking and start sweeping!”

“Ahhh! No grasshoppers, please!!”

The unrest continued on the fifth level of Nasen dungeon. The Nemesis ran around in turmoil. Some tried their damnedest to avoid the solid slams. The magic walls were being plunged by the blade zombies. Some could not go anywhere because they were surrounded by monsters. And one of them was chased by a giant grasshopper (dragon killer), which was actually a bogeyman in disguise of something that person hated the most.

The scene in front of him got the old man scratching his cheek.

“It looks like there’s still so much to learn,” Sander muttered to himself with an awkward smile.

Aerin, Lala, and Leonard only laughed wryly.

It seemed like Sander was right to have these kids with him, whose training was easier(?) than Baron’s, who only aimed for deeper levels. The kids with him right now should not be able to do it like those two monsters.

Sander let out a long sigh.

“What should I do with them?”

----------------

“Hahhhhhh~! Finally, it’s over!”

“....”

One let out a weary sigh, while the other could not even make any noise since he was panting harshly like an exhausted puppy.

Next to them were heaps of monster corpses and so many items dropped on the floor. The two boys did not bother to collect them at all. Mona Lisa had a fun time doing it in their stead.

“How many did you kill?” Wisana asked.

“160 or 170,” Shin said.

“Hehe, I win. I got 256.”

The boy gave another a peace sign and smiled mischievously. Shin only let out a weary scoff.

Pow!

However, the happy boy lasted only for a second when the black stain on his back indicated that he was kicked by a size 6 foot so hard that he fell on his face.

“Only these weak monsters and you call it a win? You little baby.”

“Hey... Did you just kick me? Did you?”

“Yes. Why? Want another?”

She raised her foot in front of his face. The boy quickly raised his arms up to defend himself.

“Weak. So damn weak.” Baron shouted. “Let me ask you this. Were you trying to win the monster Olympics or something, you punks?”

Hearing that, the boys halted and looked at each other.

“Why? We finished them all, didn’t we?” Wisana argued.

Pow!
