Chapter 58: Sister is Scary! Part II
Chapter 58: Sister is Scary! Part II
How could she not know what was wrong with that?
She was wearing his long sleeve university shirt, without anything else on the bottom! This shirt was oversizing her, so Waree made it her pajama. He did not notice this at first, because the bear-printed apron was completely covering the front.
But when he saw her back, he almost had a heart attack!
And the careless one only confusedly tilted her head, eyebrows frowning.
“It looked so comfortable, so I took this one. Why? I can’t wear this shirt?”
“I mean, yes, you can.” Wisana’s voice was shaking. “But at least you need to be aware that... I’m a man, too.”
“Huh?”
The small voice retorted, getting the sour face out of the man. He then shook his head.
“N ...never mind. I’ll just give you a new one to wear,” he said before he turned his face away. “I’ll be waiting at the table.”
The tall one took a flee out of the kitchen quickly, right hand touching the chest, left hand crazily messing up the hair, panting as he was trying to catch his breath.
Damn, that was the first time a non-relative woman dressed up like that in front of him. Even though he was quite used to living with women before, this was still too much to handle! Wisana thought as he was wiping the sweat off his face before he threw his butt on the chair harshly.
This was worse than encountering Lord Inferno!
Was he being seduced...?
Hell no! She was technically his sister!
But they were not biologically related. That meant they could get married...
This was ridiculous nonsense, Wisana!!
His mind was so out of place, and he needed a reminder that she was his sister. Also, he guessed that Nam did not mean to. Well, she had been abroad for many years. But damn, this was part of western culture, too? Wearing an oversized shirt with nothing underneath like this?
Also, this scene looked like when those newly married couples just moved in together!
“Here’s yours, Na.”
“Huh? Er ... thanks.”
While he was picturing a drama scenario in his head, a bowl of porridge was placed in front of Wisana. His face appeared with a thin, creasing smile, but he did not dare look his sister in the eyes, yet. Because she took the apron off, it almost looked like the shirt turned out to be see-through, showing off her healthy curves underneath it.
That almost got him fainted for the second time.
“I did my best. Would you have a taste? Not to brag or anything, but when I was in the U.S., I often cooked for my relatives there. So, I guarantee that it’s as good as the dinner you cooked last night.”
“Really?”
Wisana said while his shaking hand was reaching out for the spoon.
“Let me try it then.”
As he finished, he scooped a full spoon of hot porridge in his mouth, without even blowing it to cool it down first.
PRUDDD!!!
“It’s hot!”
Of course, it was. If it was not hot for him, his mouth probably had been made of Teflon pan!
The tall one got up from his chair, wriggling.
“Oh, no. I’ll get you some water.”
The one with the tongue burning was nodding rapidly, agreeing with her offer and not caring about keeping it cool anymore. A few seconds later, Waree came back with a big bottle of water. And Wisana did not hesitate to open the bottle and pour the cool water into his mouth. When he started to feel better, his pretty brown eyes caught with her bright green ones that were looking at him with concern. Then, they both burst out laughing.
“You’re so clumsy, Na,” Waree said, not quite breaking the laugh yet.
“No, I’m not. Who would have thought that the porridge would be that hot.”
“Literally, everyone else would. You’re the clumsy one,” she said as she was giggling. “You’ve been making these fidgety eyes, looking back and forth for a while now. You’re really a bit weird, just like Dad said.”
‘It’s because of you!’
Wisana thought but did not dare to say it out loud.
And to see her smiling so cutely at him, he just could not help but smile back. Her smile was pure and sincere, making him feel nice every time he saw it. The man had to admit for the first time that the other one had such a beautiful smile.
“So, what’s wrong, Na?”
The question made him chuckle while he was sitting down again.
“Nothing much, really,” he replied. “It’s just that I’m not used to being spoiled like this since I’ve been by myself here. So, I’m kind of embarrassed.”
The explanation made Waree smile so big. She made the noise sounding like ‘huh?’ aloud.
“You’re shy,” she said, holding out a finger to poke the other one’s cheek softly. “You’re being shy because of your new sister. Aw, you’re so adorable. I love you so much.”
“Stop teasing me!”
He did a fake scolding, brushing her hand off as he let out a chuckle. The smaller one next to him sighed.
“Na, you don’t have to feel like you’re troubling me, or anything. Just let me take care of you as a sister. I’ll be so happy if you do.”
Hearing she begged like this, Wisana scratched his face.
“Let’s just say that I’ll try, okay? And you, too, don’t think that you trouble me, or anything. Make yourself comfortable here. You are Dad’s daughter, and that makes you my sister as well.”
“Yes!”
Waree affirmed, her heart fluttering so hard with his words. And Wisana started to understand now why she got up early to make him breakfast. She was trying to break the ice wall between them and become real siblings.
Well, though it was kind of embarrassing, it was not a problem for him. He was even glad that he had another cute little sister around.
“Say, this porridge is really good.”
Wisana said, trying to open a new conversation. And it drew a satisfied smile on her pretty face immediately.
“I could taste the deliciousness even when my mouth was burning.”
“Really?” Waree asked with a clear voice.
“Yeah. It’s the best I’ve ever had. The rice is not overcooked, every seed of it is full-flavored and soft. The soup is well simmered, and the pork is soft and delicious with rich seasoning. I feel like it could give me wings when I have a taste of it.”
The over-exaggerated descriptions made Waree let out a chuckle before she slapped his arm softly.
