Chapter 566: VS “Dysandwal” Part II
Chapter 566: VS “Dysandwal” Part II
“What about me? What should I be doing?” Mona Lisa asked excitedly.
Shin raised his eyebrows a little. “Do what you want. You don’t have to ask me.”
“I can’t do that.” The girl shook her head. “Father told me that you have a lot of fighting experiences. So, I want you to give me some suggestions.”
The man smirked. He patted her head softly.
“Protect me. If you see an opening, fight like your life depends on it. It’s kill or be killed. That’s all.”
His suggestion got the girl to swallow her saliva in a big gulp. Yet, she nodded.
HUUUUU~~~~!!!
Suddenly, the monsters cried out so loudly that Shin thought that he even saw a soundwave in the air. Everyone had to cover their ears.
“Be careful. It’s coming at us!” Shin shouted.
The three main players lost their footing and lay down on the ground even before the beast hit. Tunwa looked at his status and found out that he was stunned.
“It’s cursed!” Tunwa shouted.
“Its voice can stun us, be careful! Cover your ears before it makes any sound again!” Shin warned everyone. “Get the stunned ones back into the ship first. The rest of you, bring out your weapons!!”
It was a turmoil. Those who were stunned were dragged back into the ship. Tunwa quickly brought out his sword and shield. Shin was the same, with his Longinus!
----------------
“Captain, the enemy’s making a move!”
It was Aerin who reported it when she saw the enemy in the radar about to strike the ship again. Maysa clenched her fists tightly and turned to Waree and Angie.
“Nam, get your barrier up. Angie, prepare every kind of magic and wait for my signal.”
“Roger!” Both of them shouted.
“Mek, try to follow its move. It’s so big and may seem like it’s fast, but it isn’t. Time your evasion well and don’t get hit. We’ll be done for if we do!”
“...Y-Yes!”
Mek said that, even though he was not confident at all if he could evade the attacks!
In the blink of an eye, Dysandwal tackled the ship in a straight line and Mek had to change the direction of the ship before it was too late. When it realized that it missed, the desert whale revealed more of its body from the sand below until all of its eyes could be seen. They were all disgustingly rolling back and forth.
“Captain, t-the enemy seems strange. I-It looks like it can split into tiny pieces. No... these are hundreds of missiles, captain!”
“What?!”
Maysa raised her eyebrows in panic and turned to look at the main screen. There were really so many of something small coming out of its body.
It looked like those were its scales that split themselves out and rushed towards the ship with an incredible speed. They were like guided missiles!
And the amount...
“..D-Detected roughly two hundred and fifty of them, captain!” Warunya shouted.
“Shit!” Maysa swore. “Angie, counter it. Use the scattering magic.”
“R-Roger!”
Blaze of Meteor!
Angie did not hesitate to counterattack. A huge fireball gushed out of the ship and scattered into a hundred of them before throwing themselves at the scales.
BOOM!!
The explosions were like a big party of firecrackers. Dysandwal’s scales burst as if they had always been bombs. The radar screen showed that they were decreasing one by one, but...
“No use, captain. Five percent of them got through our defense. They’re only about thirty meters away!”
“Nam!!!”
Maysa called out to her friend so loudly. Waree gritted her teeth tightly!
Mirror Wall!
BOOM!!
68,853!
A light shield was created at the very last minute. The collision tore Waree’s shield to pieces. Lucky for them that the rest of the scales exploded along with it.
“...Agh!”
However, the hit took a toll on the person. Even though the ship still stood, ten percent of the overall damage was inflicted on the magic user. Yes... The damage points just now were only ten percent of it.
That was why Waree was in so much pain.
“Why Mirror Wall? It’s too risky!” Stella scolded her while casting healing magic on her.
“It was the most trustworthy magic here. And I also want to know how much attack power it has.”
“Trying it out with your body isn’t cool.” The healer was upset.
“Leave the fight for later!” Maysa scolded them. “Nam, prepare your barrier again. Angie, you, too!”
Everyone turned to look at Dysandwal that had just flown past the ship at only an inch away. It swam through the sand in the front and spent some time turning around. It had been spitting out the scales. They were all over!
“This isn’t funny...”
Maysa muttered in panic.
She knew now how Dysandwal attacked. The scales dived into the sand, making them invisible to the radar, before throwing themselves at the slutter all in one time. These were its main weapons!
The scales were floating in the air as if they were waiting to strike altogether! As for the desert whale, it had already disappeared into the sand.
“Release Wisana and Samie. Now!”
She thought that they would definitely be dead meat if she did not act. She commanded Aerin.
----------------
“Leader, it’s time. The sky isn’t so clear, so please be careful.”
Aerin sounded worried. Wisana nodded and started to float up with the de-gravitation system.
“Vincent, out!”
The tall figure ejected himself from the tube that led to the front of the ship. Flaming wings gracefully stretched out from his back. Beautiful glowing dust that came from it flew in the air.
Meanwhile, Sarquros’s slim figure slowly floated above the ground. The door was opened. Her ruby-red eyes stared at the light at the end of the tube and took a deep breath.
“Sarquros Samie, out!”
In the blink of an eye, the girl was ejected out so fast like a shot bullet. She did not have wings like Vincent, but she dashed up to him as soon as possible. The man looked at the shocking sight in front of him.
“..W-What is this?” He muttered.
“Even the sun’s gone.”
Sarquros added. It was just like what she said because the number of scales was so immense that they covered up the sun!
“Na and Samie, please help destroy the scales as much as possible!”
Hearing that, Wisana and Samie nodded immediately.
They split. Wisana created about two hundred flame spirits, aiming to destroy all the targets at one time. Sarquros brought out her black giant scythe and started to slash at the enemies mercilessly.
BOOM!!!
As soon as Samie hit the scale with her scythe, its explosion range was as wide as that of an improvised explosive device. Once one exploded, the nearby ones burst along. The flames and smoke started to grow and Sarquros was submerged in them.
“Samie!” Maysa shouted.
“...!” Wisana had to turn around.
Then, Samie rushed out of the smoke without a single scratch on her, even though some parts of her outfit were torn and there was some black soot on her pale skin. The explosions just now could not do anything to this dragon girl!
“Don’t worry, big sister. I’m a dragon. This is nothing.”
The dragon girl answered in a sweet voice. Maysa was relieved. Wisana smiled happily.
Sarquros did not hesitate to turn the other way and put her hand out in a charging gesture. Suddenly, a red and black ray of light dashed into the scales and the explosions continued.
Spirit Carnival!
