Chapter 565: VS “Dysandwal” Part I
Chapter 565: VS “Dysandwal” Part I
“Quickly put out the fire! Whoever’s at it, go check the pressure of the engine, and don’t let it overheat. If the engine’s down, we’re doomed!”
The loud shouts intertwined with everything suddenly got in turmoil. Manoch covered his face to avoid the heat from the fire that was burning in the engine room, while the other technicians tried to find a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. Some of them quickly used their skills to repair the ship’s wall.
“Can’t you just let us rest?!”
Manoch complained and turned to another guy.
“Richie, take the flying items and fix the outside of the ship, quick!”
The tiny robot that was flying around, carrying dark blue metal parts was so startled by the command that he dropped everything on the ground.
“..W-What did you say, sir?”
The robot asked in a shaken voice.
“Take all the mithrils and fix the slutter outside. Get it done within five minutes. Be careful of the enemy, too.”
It was like he was ordering him to die. The tiny robot broke into a sweat.
“N-No can do, sir. If I go out now, I will definitely turn into pieces of metal.”
“If you don’t go out in ten seconds, we’re all going to be canned meat!” Manoch shouted at him. “Stop being a coward and switch into technician mode. Don’t you know what will happen if we don’t fly higher within ten minutes?”
“..U-Understood.”
The robot finally accepted its fate and collected the ores off the floor.
“Quickly get your ass out there! You want that giant to crush us first?!!”
“Y-Yesss~!!”
The smaller one quickly swept the mithrils to himself and flew off. He should be done with the repair soon.
“Ae.”
A voice from the communication window in front of him called out his name. This time it was Maysa, whose face was so stressed that he let out a sigh.
“I know. We’re doing our best here. We’re trying so hard to put out the fire and repair the slutter. Can you hold on for another five minutes?”
“That long?” Maysa frowned. “Try to not go past that. And do the damaged areas link to the weapon system?”
Manoch opened up another window to check the ship’s information. It was clear to him that the only damaged part left was the engine at the end of the ship. Luckily, the explosion did not really affect the magic crystal, the heart of the ship.
“The weapons are fine. I’m not sure, though, if they’re enough to fight this monster.”
Maysa nodded.
“Is it possible for us to use the Over limit now?”
Manoch quickly shook his head.
“Don’t ever do that if you don’t want to see us explode like a raw egg in a microwave,” Manoch warned her. “You can do anything, but avoid getting hit at the rear and the core, where the crystal is.”
“Understood.” Maysa sighed. “Get everything fixed quickly.”
Then, Maysa was gone. Manoch could only sigh angrily.
“Sounds so easy for you.” He turned to his subordinates. “Faster, you morons! You want to rot and die here in the desert?!”
----------------
“How’s it?”
The owner of the voice asked with a stressed face. His amber eyes were clearly frantic that the girl exhaled so hard.
“It seems like we have to hold it off for five minutes.”
Maysa answered while opening up more windows as if she was about to plan something. The man, who was now standing in the ejection tube, only scratched his head.
“Then, let me and Samie out.”
Wisana communicated with Maysa through the communication screen. The other window showed the image of Sarquros, who was also waiting in another tube.
“Not yet.” Maysa shook her head.
“Why, big sister? If we’re too slow, our ship will be damaged even more.”
Sarquros looked worried. Maysa stroked her lips while thinking.
“I still think that the first attack was strange. It was out of our radar and only one hit to bring us down. Its attack power isn’t ordinary.”
Her opinion weighed enough to get both Wisana and Sarquros thinking.
“The enemy doesn’t do anything just yet, so I think we still have time to prepare ourselves,” Maysa said. “However, be ready at all times. I’ll give you a signal when it’s appropriate.”
“Roger that.”
“Yes, big sister.”
Wisana and Sarquros nodded with worried faces. The next moment, their images were replaced with Shindanai’s.
The man was now positioned on the roof of the ship. There were Tunwa, Mona Lisa, who was there instead of Sander, and Kongkiat, who was still not completely healed.
“What’s the situation, Shin?” Maysa asked.
“Bad,” Shin answered.
----------------
On the roof, there were over ten players ready to fight. The three main players grouped together and they all looked worried. Mona Lisa seemed to be excited to fight without Wisana and Sarquros, her parents, by her side. Meanwhile, Tunwa had to drop his heart-breaking situation for now. His jade eyes stared at the intimidating monster that was still swimming in the pool of sand.
“It seems like it’s waiting for the right time to strike.”
Shin said and glanced up in front of him. The communication window with Maysa on it was on his side.
He pointed at the gigantic beast, Dysandwal, that was flying around the ship like a shark.
“It’s calculating. I’m sure it’ll hit hard when it’s time.” Shin said.
“You’re the best hunter we have now. Have you ever fought it before?”
Shin shook his head immediately.
“I’m sorry. I haven’t come across this whale at all. No...” He stopped for a short while. “It’s more like I can’t. You know I hunt alone. If I don’t have at least fifty people in my party, I won’t be able to fight it.”
Maysa frowned.
“That means you don’t know its weakness or how to handle it?”
Shin shook his head and Maysa stroked her hair furiously. That was when Tunwa leaned towards the screen and talked to her.
“May, I think it’s better to focus on running away. We only have about ten people who can still fight. We can’t do it. Even with all the members and weapons, I think it’d still be very difficult.”
“I agree,” Maysa said. “Anyway, please watch our backs. Don’t let it hit the core.”
“Understood.” Shin nodded.
“And please take care of Mona Lisa.”
“Mmm.”
Maysa switched her screen off right after that, leaving Tunwa and Shin looking at each other.
“Our enemies are getting stronger every day, don’t you think?” Tunwa smiled awkwardly.
“It’s normal,” Shin said. “It depends on how well we handle it. We have to be ready.”
“Mmm.”
Then, Tunwa walked up to the other ten members. Even with a small number, they were still lucky that more than half of them were magicians and long-range attackers. It fit the situation here.
While Tunwa was arranging the team, Shin spent his precious time checking the items that he was holding. Fortunately, before they took off, there were still a lot of full power-up potions left in the Nemesis’s item box. He could carry around twenty of them. As for the Maxteria potion, he could only get one since they were scarce.
This was not funny at all...
We had so little of everything and now we were encountering Dysandwal as the last boss before reaching Aeneas... What a troublesome situation!
He let out a long sigh. It was at the same time that his shirt was yanked. His lavender eyes looked down at the small girl who was looking up at him as if she wanted to say something.
“What?” Shin asked calmly.
“What about me? What should I be doing?”
