Chapter 546: Surrounded Part II
Chapter 546: Surrounded Part II
“What interests me is the reason why they want to destroy Pride. If we can figure this out, it should be easier to manage.”
He looked at Wisana and Maysa. Both of them cluelessly shrugged back at him.
“If you ask me, I think the reason may be personal,” Wisana said.
“How?” Sven asked.
“Like in Lucius’s case.” He pointed at the red-haired man. “In his biography, it says that he totally disappeared from Pride after he lost the fight with Winter, right? Maybe he’s holding a grudge and that’s why he wants to come back for it.”
“Then, why doesn’t he just go for Winter? Why the whole Pride?” Sven asked.
“Well...”
Wisana pointed his index finger and opened his mouth as if he had something more to say. Yet, his brain did not seem to be able to think of any good reason.
“Maybe he was humiliated by the fans of the four gods? Like... how he dared to defy the gods, even though he was a nobody or something like that.”
Maysa added. Wisana could only say one thing. “Exactly!”
“No.” Sven shook his head. “The reason is too shallow. Only that can’t push anyone to go against an international firm like this.”
Maysa nodded. She did agree that Sven’s reason was sound.
“And don’t forget these two.”
Sven pointed at the photo of two players, Allen and Nero.
“Weren’t these two members of the Bunny Burner? Why would they join someone from a different guild with that kind of nonsense?”
Wisana looked at the photo.
Allen and Nero were the players whom Waree found in the book that contained the history of the Bunny Burner guild. The information was quite the same as the Dominion’s. Both of them were also the first generation of the Bunny Burner guild, who helped Winter build up their guild.
Speaking of Winter, he was well-known as the top competitor of Viola, the queen of war herself. Even though his legend was not as clean as Viola’s, Winter was as skilled as her. Some journalists even said that he was better than her.
The two guilds should have been competitors.
And why did they join forces now to destroy Pride?
“I hope neither Viola nor Winter is in the group.”
Wisana looked worried. Only six of them gave him enough headaches. Adding these two monsters in would only be a disaster!
“I really want it to be like what you think,” Sven said. “But we have to have a substitute plan in case these two are involved. If they appeared again as Pride’s enemies, I’m afraid we wouldn’t be able to take them down.”
“At least we still have my teacher.”
Wisana said so confidently that everyone turned to look at him.
“Sander?” Sven sighed. “I admit that he’s really good, but can we really rely on his power? Even now that we need him the most, he’s now God knows where. We’re not even sure if he weren’t a spy.”
Hearing that, Wisana was silent. He lowered his head down, feeling depressed.
Maysa glared at Sven as if to say that he should not have said that.
Sven could only scratch his head awkwardly.
“Just don’t believe in what we don’t know for sure,” Sven spoke softly and got back into the topic again. “We can only rely on ourselves since we don’t know much about our enemies just yet. We better be alert at all times.”
Wisana and Maysa looked at each other and nodded at Sven.
“I’ll deal with all this information myself. As for the enemy’s moves, I’ll leave it to you, Maysa.”
Sven smiled gently at her. Maysa nodded.
It was surely not an order. Rather, it sounded more like he was asking someone his equal a favor. It was probably because of this skill that he could take care of a lot of people under him.
Even though they were not the same...
She had to admit that this Sven guy was as attractive as Wisana.
This was probably the trait of a natural leader.
Maysa smiled mildly. She looked back and forth at both of them and that made the boys raise their brows curiously.
“Then, I’ll leave this to you. If you want anything, just tell the boy at the door.”
The chief of staff said while closing her information windows down. The girl stood up. Wisana stretched until his whole body trembled.
“Mhmm.” Sven nodded.
“Nahhh, you don’t have to tell him that. I know someone would be more than happy to take care of this guy.”
Wisana said with a wicked smile. Maysa could not help but smile back.
“You’re right.” She tried to suppress her laughter.
“....”
Sven did not say anything. He pretended not to care and turned back to the information. It was obvious that he was a difficult one. He kept his cool so well, unlike Shin who slipped from time to time.
He was good both theoretically and practically.
No wonder a girl who did not know how to love had to lose.
Wisana could only smile while thinking so. Then, he gave Maysa a signal.
“We’ll be going, then.” He turned to Sven.
“Mmm. I’ll keep you updated.”
They walked out of the room. Maysa was still trying her hardest not to laugh. It was true that Sven had been very nice and obedient these days. Even though he could be harsh at times, he was actually a good guy (especially compared to that muscle-brain Marcus).
“Sven.”
Wisana poked his head back into the room again. He smiled when the other turned around.
“Even though you said that we’re not on the same side, at least we’re standing on one side right now as long as we’re doing things fair and square, deal?”
Hearing that, Sven went quiet for a second. He let out a scoff and sighed.
“If I said no, you’d definitely make a hungry puppy face, right?”
“Maybe.” Wisana rolled his eyes.
“Then, what the heck did you ask that for?”
He chuckled. Wisana beamed from ear to ear, the biggest smile Sven had ever seen from him.
“You... are so optimistic I’m jealous, Vincent.”
“I told you. It’s my specialty.”

“Bhira!! Leader Bhiraaaa~~!!!”
A scream surrounded the area. Everyone in the living room looked up to see a man running into the room, panting.
“Why are you screaming? Can’t you see we’re having a serious meeting here?”
The silver-haired man with a brown loose robe yelled at him. There was a long scar on his face that went from his right eye to his cheek.
“I’m so sorry, leader Jade, but this is really big.”
The words from the subordinate made him frown.
Before he could say anything, the man with strange orange hair raised his hand.
“What’s it about?”
He asked. He was wearing a white shirt with a black rose with vines and thorns symbol on the right of his chest. It was a symbol of the Cataral guild.
“Somebody sent us a piece of information through our secret channel.”
“Information?” The orange hair, Bhira, raised his eyebrows.
“What the hell you’re talking about?” Jade asked.
“It’s an image. I don’t know who the sender is, but you need to see it.”
The man with the lowest rank in the room quickly opened the digital window and let everyone see it. The very first second that they laid eyes on it, they screamed in shock. Bhira and Jade looked at each other with a wry face.
“Who sent this photo?”
