Chapter 539: Pride Library Part I
Chapter 539: Pride Library Part I
“Then, I’ll be going, mom.”
“....”
There was no reply from his mom. Her beautiful amber eyes teared up. She pouted like a little kid. Wisana, who had been watching her, could only smile awkwardly.
“Aww, mom, don’t make that face, please. I’ll definitely pay a visit again during the next school holiday.”
“Liar. Don’t you have to be an intern at that Pride company then?”
The more she thought about it, the more she acted like she was about to cry.
That prompted her beloved son to signal for help from his girlfriend. Maysa only waved her hand because she also did not know what to do.
“Oh c’mon, mom. You know Na can’t leave peacefully with that face of yours.”
“Naat... It’s...”
It was the youngest child of the Waleeraks who came to the rescue.
She grabbed her mom’s arms to console her. However, Wimon seemed to be in more pain. She tried her hardest to stop the tears from falling. Wisana’s smile was wry.
“Just give us a call, Na. And take care of my May.”
Wisanaat walked towards her brother and hugged him. Wisana patted her head lovingly.
“Yeah, yeah. Take good care of mom. Don’t be so reckless.”
“Roger that.”
The girl’s salutation was the cutest one Wisana had ever seen. He smiled back at her and tilted her head softly before Wisanaat threw herself at Maysa and Waree.
It was a chance for Wisana to smile at Wimon again.
He let out a long sigh and put her in his embrace without letting her make the face again.
“Take care of yourself, okay? Don’t overwork. And if a man hits on you again, I’m the first one that you should tell. I’ll shoot him off to his country myself.”
Hearing that, the mom slowly pushed her son out and laughed in tears.
“Then, I guess I should let them come so that you come back to me more often.”
“I’m not amused.” Wisana furrowed his face.
Wimon breathed in and eventually let go of her son.
“Anyway, I had fun. Don’t forget to exercise once in a while. And take care of your sister.”
Hearing that, Wisana turned back to look at Waree, who was still hugging Wisanaat. He smiled and nodded.
“Of course, I will.”
“Okay.”
Wimon patted her son’s head, even though she had to stand on her toes to do that. Wisana, then, opened the front passenger car door and got in the car. At that moment when the girls were saying goodbye, Wimon waved and called Maysa to come to her. Maysa was a little confused, yet she obediently gave in.
Wimon whispered something into her ear. Maysa’s face reddened up a little. Wimon did not seem to question that reaction. She stroked her cheek softly.
“I’ll leave that to you, May.”
“I...” Maysa stuttered.
“Please.”
Wimon was affirmative. Maysa stared at her as if she wanted to know what the older woman was thinking. Once she saw those firm pretty eyes, she smiled and nodded.
“I’ll do my best, mom.”
“Thank you.”
Wimon patted her head lovingly before sending her off to the car. Uncle Pairoch volunteered to drive the kids to the airport. He nodded at the owner of the farm before driving the Toyota Fortuner out of the premises.
“What did she whisper to you just now?” Waree asked Maysa right away after she settled in.
Maysa turned to her and smiled at her best friend before giving her a cute wink.
“Secret.”

“Would you like another coffee, Mr. President?”
A sweet voice sounded so cheerfully. She was a girl with round amber eyes behind those small silver glasses. Her golden-brown hair was shiny against the sunlight.
“No. This is enough.”
Meanwhile, the old man in his 75 was sitting at his work desk, deep in thought. His grey hair was brushed back so neatly just like his usual black jacket that he always had with him. Today, Payu, the man who had everything in Thailand’s Pride world in his hands, was still as healthy as ever as if he was not anywhere over 70.
Seeing the president’s face, the secretary smiled satisfyingly before pouring quality coffee into the ceramic cup on the desk.
“You look as fantastic as ever, Mr. President. If you were ten years younger, any woman who saw you sitting here, sipping your coffee, would swoon all over you.”
The old man laughed cheerfully.
“That’s such a good morning encouragement, Pairin.” He stroked his grey beard around his lips. “It’s been almost a year with you and you’re still as sweet as the first day.”
“I’m only stating the truth.”
The girl’s smile amused her president even more.
“I’m relieved to see you so happy.” She said.
“You don’t have to worry about me that much.” He smiled back. “Just seeing a girl with a bomb shape like you every day, my life is complete.”
Then, he let out loud laughter, while his secretary touched her flushed cheeks.
After that, the old man leaned against the back of his chair and looked up at the ceiling. His hand was still stroking his beard. He was thinking about something.
“It’s been ten years that we haven’t had this grand meeting,” Payu spoke softly.
“Yes, Mr. President.” The secretary nodded. “It’s been exactly twelve years.”
The old man smiled. “And this will be your first time, right?”
“Yes.” The secretary was delighted.
“I’m sorry. It was the first meeting of the organization for you and it’s the biggest one. Please bear with it.” He stopped for a good gap. His eyes shone so brightly that the girl had a hard time swallowing her saliva.
“This will be tough.”
The secretary bit her lip.
“I’m well prepared.”
Payu nodded.
“Be alert at all times because anything can happen, even a fight.”
“Understood.”
Pairin nodded firmly. At that moment, a knock on the door sounded before the man behind it swung it open without waiting for his permission.
Payu glanced at the man with no manner. He let out a long sigh when he saw that it was a familiar daring face.
A tall middle-aged man with long hair looked better than usual. Behind him, there was a tall man standing there. He was apparently his personal assistant.
“You ready, old man?” The man asked.
“Is it time already?”
Payu muttered wearily and pushed himself up. His face was stern.
His black eyes shone brightly with so much determination that the atmosphere in the room changed.
“Okay, then.” He sighed. “Let’s go to the battlefield.”
Mavin invited the old man out with an open arm and a smile. The father-in-law and the son-in-law walked out of the room with grace. Today, both of them clearly possessed so much prestige.
The secretaries looked at each other while following them from a distance.
One was a 27-year-old dignified man in glasses with slicked black hair. He was Mavin’s secretary.
The second was a well-shaped girl with back-length golden brown hair, aged around twenty-five. She was wearing glasses that fit her oval face. She was Payu’s secretary.
They looked each other in the eye for a while before giving out a smile.
“Having to attend such a grand gathering for your first time must be tough, Miss Aerin.”
