Chapter 534: Prisoner of War Part VII

Chapter 534: Prisoner of War Part VII

“Nice to meet you. I’m Sven, leader of the Cataral.”

He talked to her but actually, he purposely probed Wisana. And the one who got probed just curled up a smile, unbothered.

“Seems like my guys beat you up really bad, Sven,” Wisana said.

“They did.”

Sven tilted his head to the side fearlessly. Then he decided to stop provoking the other because he knew that it would be pointless. Also, he did not have any escape plan as well, because he knew that it was even more impossible to do so.

Right now, he could not do anything, except...

Going with the flow.

“Your disguise plan was brilliant. I never thought that there would be such a mage who could disguise players so tactfully among the Nemesis. No one would notice the woman in maid costume was Shindanai, the number one hunter in Pride right now.”

Wisana narrowed his eyes, then he looked at Maysa to ask for her opinion. He probably just heard about the disguise plan from Sven’s mouth for the first time. And he finally knew why Shin refused to go out of his room to talk to Sven with him.

It was because Shin did not want to be seen in a girl’s body that would last for the next many hours...

Thinking about that made him smile a little.

“Yeah, that was unexpected. If it was me, I would be totally fooled as well.” Wisana said.

And Sven chuckled slightly.

“And what about the kid?” He said, making Wisana raise his brows. “The one who did this.”

Sven said and pointed to the big bruise on the center of his torso, the spot where that Fire Blast palm hit him totally.

“Oh, that’s just my junior. He’s not that good yet, not someone you should care about.”

“Not that good?”

Sven raised his eyebrows, feeling amused with the words ‘not that good.’, because if that was true, he would not have been knocked out and dragged all the way here. Thinking about that, he shook his head.

“You and Lavi have a lot of things in common, you know. So many things.”

Wisana did not say anything in reply. He just looked at Sven, who was lying on the bed carefreely, while he let his guild heal the wounds for him. There was no panic hidden in his expression, not even worry or scared.

“I hope you understand your situation here, Sven,” Wisana said.

“Yes, I do. I understand it so well.” Sven smiled amusedly. “I’m being held as the Nemesis’ war prisoner, right?”

He replied indifferently, causing Wisana and Maysa to look at each other like they were consulting through their eyes. Then Maysa shrugged to imply that she was not quite sure about Sven’s thoughts either.

“Actually, becoming a captive like this might be a good thing.”

Hearing that, Wisana knitted his eyebrows together.

“What do you mean?” He asked.

“Because it seems like we’re now on the same boat, Vincent.”

The more he listened to his words, the more confused Wisana got. Sven pulled his eyes away from him and placed them on the ceiling. He was smiling, but it was more like a smile of stress.

“Can I talk to you in private?”

Sven asked something unexpectedly. Everyone parted their mouths in surprise, especially Maysa. She instantly grabbed Wisana’s arm to hold him back, then put herself in the front right away.

“I’m afraid not. It’s too risky for our boss to speak with you alone.”

“What could possibly be risky, hm, Nemesis’ chief of staff?” Sven talked back in a delighted voice. “Let me guess, I’ve probably been under countless curses that disable me from fighting, haven’t I? Especially this thing above my head here.”

Sven pointed above his head.

Everyone in the room narrowed their eyes. This man was not only calm and discreet, but he also had quick eyes. Sven could see things thoroughly. He was right, Waree and Stella had cast many high-ranking magic protections. So, not only that no one would be able to use magic in this room, but every kind of weapon was also blocked from taking out any inventory window.

And the ball floating above his head here was Manoch’s new toy called ‘Doggy Electric,’ aka ‘The hellhound, biting as a warning...’ It was a special item with a target lock system that would shock its target with high-voltage electricity to knock the target out or paralyze them right away if they ever tried to summon a weapon or cast a spell.

This item took more than an hour to set up on an immobilized enemy. It was not fit for fighting, but very suitable for keeping the enemy in line.

“There’s no way I can do anything to your leader since your defenses are this tough. Let alone escaping, that is just even more impossible.”

Sven said with a casual smile, while Maysa could not guess exactly what the man wanted.

“Good that you know. And what do you want to talk to our leader about?”

“It’s confidential between guild leaders only. You don’t have the authority for this information, girl.”

Sven winked at her. Maysa looked like she was about to argue, but Wisana grabbed her by the shoulder first.

“It’s okay. I’ll talk to him.” Wisana said with a slight smile.

“But.” Maysa tried to object.

But Wisana did not say anything more. He was quiet as he sent some sign through the look in his eyes to Maysa. After seeing that, Maysa let out a long sigh. She then looked at Stella and Waree, before nodding as a sign for them to follow her out of the room.

“I’ll give you 10 minutes only, then I’ll come back later. And if you dare harm him, then we’ll see what happens.”

Maysa sent out her threat. And Sven, who had just been free from the girls’ treatment, sat on the bed with his hands up in surrender.

“Of course, I won’t do something stupid like that.” He said with a smile.

After hearing that, Maysa walked out first, leaving Waree to turn and smile slightly at her brother.

“Call us when you need us. We’ll just wait outside the room.” His little sister nodded at him.

“Yeah,” Wisana replied.

A moment later, the door was shut. Sven looked down to check on his wounds and saw they were a lot better than before, except for that big hole in his right shoulder that still had some dark bruises around it clearly.

“Your medical unit is quite good, Vincent.” Sven started a conversation.

“Probably the best in Pride.”

“Your assault unit isn’t bad, too.”

“If I was with them, you’d say it’s the best.”

Sven cracked into a chuckle at Wisana’s words. He looked at the man before him who had this casual attitude just like him. Wisana made it clear that he was not afraid of the four gods at all. Instead, he could still act normally like he was used to it already.

“There’s no need for the chitchat, Sven. Just get into the topic.” Wisana said, then sat down on a chair. His eyes were on the man who was named the four gods in front of him.

“Let me guess, it has something to do with the wound in your shoulder, right?”

He said with a smile. And hearing that, Sven sighed, before smiling back in reply.

“It’s probably the reason why you got attacked on the way here as well.”

Wisana froze, never expecting that Sven would know about his guild getting attacked by those suspicious people as well.

“You knew? That was you?!” Wisana shouted aloud.

“Sorry, but no, it wasn’t.” He shrugged after replying. “But it was the same group that attacked me when I sneaked into Tristan. It was the same group that destroyed the Cataral’s army totally in the Crystal War many days ago.”

Wisana frowned his eyebrows. Then he gasped when he put everything he listened together before he finally came to the conclusion that,

“Willian Star guild is behind all this?!!” He yelled loudly.

“Yeah, that’s 1 out of 100 scores, Vincent.” Sven smiled widely. “If that’s all you can think about, then you’re totally in their trap. They purposely make you believe that it’s William Star guild when it’s actually not them at all.”

The more he listened, the more he got confused, he tilted his head to the side, looking at Sven, not understanding.

“Then who attacked us?”

“I don’t know what their group’s called exactly, but they’re not William’s ally. They’re more like mercenaries that are blending into this war.” He paused and looked Wisana in the eyes to imply something. “Their purpose is to destroy everything, including the four gods and you, too, Vincent.”

“Destroy?” Wisana tied his eyebrows together. “For what? To become the best in Pride?”

“That’d be a lot better if that’s the case.” Sven smiled faintly. “But their top priority goal is to wipe out the Pride world completely from the world.”
