Chapter 533: Prisoner of War Part VI
Chapter 533: Prisoner of War Part VI
“But we have this guy as our hostage. What can they possibly do to us?” Tun stated his point.
“Yes, we have him, but that wouldn’t help us, Tun. Because it’d be even better for them if the guy dies, he will respawn back at his guild right away. So, not only is this pointless, we also have pissed off a lot of the Cataral people, too.”
Listening to Wisana’s words, Tunwa was stunned for a moment. He glanced at Wisana like he was implying something, and the guild leader just sighed wearily in response.
“Then we should let him go!”
But suddenly, Nuchjaree shouted her opinion out with a faint smile.
“If we keep him hostage, we will be targeted, then we shouldn’t, right?”
Nuchjaree explained her point. Wisana squinted at her, before turning to catch Maysa’s eyes.
“Are you crazy, Nuch?!” Tunwa yelled at her. “This is our chance. Sven is one of the four gods, and it’s not like we can take him down easily. If we keep him at least we could use him to negotiate with the Catarals. And Sven will lose a lot of EXP if he dies, so, they probably don’t dare resist up.”
“But this isn’t fair!” Nuchjaree shouted back. “This will make us look like cowards. I don’t like this way.”
“Huh?” Tunwa drawled loudly. “This is war, you crazy. If it makes us win, I don’t care about the way."
“Yeah, that’s all you’re good at, Tun, playing outside the rules. Have you ever had some dignity like decent people?!”
“Hey, be more reasonable. I’m sorry, but we’re playing a war, not a doll house. I’m not going to let him slip away for sure!”
“You’re not making any sense,” Nuchjaree yelled to his face.
“You’re not making any sense. Huh, why though? Could it be that you’ve started liking him, after staying together for a while?”
“Tunwa, take that back now, or I’ll beat your ass.”
“I’m not taking anything back. And no, I don’t care what you’re going to do either. Oh, could it be that you’re one of the Catarals right now? Well, I just interrupted your making out with him, didn’t I?”
“Tunwa!!”
“That’s enough!”
Wisana was the one who shouted out angrily. Both Tunwa and Nuchjaree froze, before glancing at their best friend. They knew that Wisana was not normally a short-tempered person, so when he even had to shout like that, everyone should stop and listen to what he had to say.
Wisana reached up to rub between his eyebrows. Then he looked side eye at Warunya before this went messier.
“Orn, I think you should take Nuch to a shower, change into new clothes, and calm down a bit. She should take some rest as well.” Wisana said, and then he looked at Nuchjaree. “Anyway, I have to keep Sven here for a while, to heal his wounds at least. And don’t worry. He took care of you well when you were with them, didn’t he? So, I’m not going to treat him any less. You should rest, for now.”
Wisana placed his hand on Nuchjaree’s shoulder, and she did not say anything after. She clenched her jaws as she gave Tunwa an angry look, which he pretended to look away and snorted like he could not care less.
Warunya quickly put her arms around Nuchjaree’s shoulders as they both walked away, while Wisana nodded to confirm his words again.
“TCH, so childish,” Tunwa muttered.
“Who’s childish exactly?”
Wisana talked back without looking. Even though Tunwa’s face suddenly turned hostile, Wisana chose to care about Maysa instead.
“Could you take this guy to a proper room? Have someone guard his door and tell Miss Stella and Nam that I need them.”
“Got it.”
Maysa nodded, before snapping her fingers to make those four balls that were holding Sven up follow her inside.
But Wisana’s orders made Tunwa’s mouth part in shock.
“Na, you’re really going to heal his wounds? If he’s healed, he probably screws us over!”
Hearing Tunwa said, Wisana let out a long sigh.
“Respect him a bit, Tun,” Wisana said. “You should know that he treated Nuch so well when she was captured there. You should know that from how she reacted, shouldn’t you? Nuch will never defend someone she doesn’t like.”
Tunwa was quiet for a second, he caught eye with his best friend who did not have a smile on his face.
Meanwhile, Wisana grabbed Kongkiat by his shoulder like he wanted to say well done to the boy.
“Let me tell you something, Tun.”
“...What?” Tunwa said in a harsh voice.
“You need to learn how to speak true to your heart sometimes before you regret it all later.”
And then he walked away, leaving Tunwa there to look at his back with an annoyed face.
----------------
“How bad is it, Miss Stella? Can you heal him?”
“The wound from Mister Shin is easy, but the one from Kong boy is kind of bad.”
“Kong’s improved his skills so quickly. His attack is stronger than Shin’s now.”
“No, Nam, he hasn’t. Still an amateur. The pro one will know when and how to hold back, you know.”
“Come on, Na, you’re being too hard on your junior.”
“That’s just a fact. And how long does the healing take, Miss Stella?”
“These two wounds probably take a night to heal. But about the one on his right shoulder, I’ve never seen this kind of wound before. Its damage is very strong. It’s like getting stabbed with a large sword, but around the wound is like it was burned by fire.”
“It wasn’t Shin and Kong, was it?”
“No, it wasn’t. It seems like this wound is the reason why this guy came and hid in Albasta surely. But what I’m curious about is who it could possibly be that beat Sven, the four gods of Cataral this badly.”
“I don’t know either. But looking from the wound, it has to be someone on the same level as him.”
What was this...?
An autopsy operation?
Did he get lost in some investigation series or what?
But suddenly, Sven felt a wave of warmth covering all over his body. His ruby-red eyes slowly fluttered open when he started getting his consciousness back. The first thing he could focus on was this dazzling bright light that shot right into his eyes, making him shut them close again.
“Damn, if this isn’t an autopsy operation, then would you please turn the light down a bit?”
The tall man said in a dry raspy voice. And then there was silence for a long moment, but the light in the room turned dimmer by shifting to a warm orange comfort light.
“Happy now?” A voice asked softly.
“Just better. I’ll be truly happy once I get a fancy meal and a softer bed.”
He said, before opening those ruby-red eyes again. Sven was fully conscious now. He looked at the other side and saw Wisana standing with Maysa. And to his side, there were two women healing him and one of them was the strongest defensive mage in the Pride world, who was known as ‘the Fortress of Light’ like Waree.
“Today’s really my lucky day.”
A smile spread across Sven’s face right away, while he was squinting at each one of the Nemesis in the room.
“Because I got to meet Vincent, Maysa, Waree, in the same room” He paused, glancing at the other woman he was not familiar with. “And this beautiful healer lady who is the medical unit’s chief of the Nemesis guild as well.”
“I’m Stella.” She introduced herself politely.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Sven, leader of the Cataral.”
