Chapter 520: Blending In Part II

Chapter 520: Blending In Part II

“She has the same condition as this guy.”

Maysa could only sigh in response to that. She and Shindanai looked at each other like they did not know what to say. It had been hours since they got away from the battle zone successfully. And the warp gate could send the Alexander ship straightly to the waters near Tristan in a quick moment.

But their problem now was that many guild members were hurt from the fight, with Wisana and Waree included in this group as well. So, the Nemesis needed to go slow and shift to stealth submarine mode temporarily. They needed Wisana to wake up first, so they could proceed to the next plan.

“At first, I was so shocked, you know,” Shindanai spoke.

“Yeah.” Maysa nodded.

“After we got back to the safe zone, these two just suddenly blacked out and fell, like some toy that ran out of batteries. And they even blacked out exactly at the same time.”

Listening to Shindanai’s words, Maysa touched under her lips as she considered it.

There were so many questions that she needed answers to. First, who were the enemies and why did they attack them? Second, why did they want Jinnie? Third, how did Mister Sander know them? And finally, what happened to Waree during the fight exactly...?

The more she tried to think, the more exhausted she got.

“How about Mister Sander?” Maysa asked.

“I heard Miss Stella say that he locked himself in his room and started snoring loudly until now, too,” Shindanai replied tiredly.

“Jinnie’s been quiet after she got back to Wisana’s inventory as well. She refused to show up, even though I kept calling her.”

“And about the mother and daughter?” Shindanai continued.

“They’re sleeping in my bedroom. They got so exhausted, especially Mona Lisa.” Maysa sighed. “Like she should be since she was changed into a weapon like that, and this guy used her so roughly with that Drago Hild skill or something, too.”

“It was the dragon warriors’ skill,” Shindanai said calmly. “The skill can transfer injuries from one person to another. It can be used on both the dragon and the master. After the skill’s applied on the user, they will gain many supporting buffs, while the other one will take all the wounds and pain for them.”

Maysa blinked after listening to the explanation from a guru like Shin. Then she looked back at Wisana again. She did not believe that this guy would actually use a skill that had other people take the pain for him so carelessly like this. But when she looked at it in the sense of decisiveness, turning Mona Lisa into a weapon like that,

It could be said that Wisana made the right choice according to the situation.

But the point was, how did this guy know what the skill could do, and how did he know that he could turn Mona Lisa into this weapon with the ability of the Element?

What he did surprised her, as always.

After the thoughts, she pinched Wisana in the cheek, making this smart-ass whine a little in his sleep. And then, Maysa laughed amusedly.

“I just ran into Ae on my way here,” Shindanai said.

“Okay?”

“He said that the ship didn’t get much damage. The holy crystal should finish repairing the ship by tonight. We’re good to go anytime. But the problem is that we’re running short on weapons.”

“Got it.” Maysa smiled slightly in response. “Now, we just have to wait for Waree and this guy to wake up.”

“That’s right.” Shin sighed.

“There’re so many things we don’t know, and we need to know. But it seems that everyone is avoiding us right now, don’t you think, Shin?”

Maysa asked, caressing Wisana’s cheek gently. Her smile was strangely weary, as was Shin, who was looking away consideringly. There was a lot going on his mind as well, about that two enemies, the ones that Waree called them, ...

“Signerater...” He whispered.

“What?” Maysa paused, turning her eyes to him...

Then Shin’s eyes were staring back at Maysa.

“It’s the word Waree mentioned back there. She called the enemies Signerater or something.”

“And what does it mean?” Maysa asked.

But Shin just shrugged in response to that question. Seeing that, Maysa let out an awfully long sigh.

“About Jinnie, too,” Maysa spoke. “What do those people need Jinnie for exactly?”

“I heard the blue-haired man called her the Key of Forbidden, or something like that.”

“The Key of Forbidden? What’s that?” Maysa arched her eyebrows.

“If she’s a key, then she’s meant to unlock something,” Shin said. “But the question is, to unlock what? And why is the key with Vincent?”

“No idea.” Maysa shook her head. “And there’re so many things we don’t know right now. But I think the clue that will lead us to the enemies the fastest is probably the word ‘Signerater’.”

“I think so. At least we need to know what exactly Signerater is.”

After trying to figure things out for a while, both just sighed. Signerater was an unfamiliar word that they had never heard before. And if they were to search for it, they did not think that Google would help them that much, because it sounded like a technical term from an extremely specific field.

“I’m not sure what Signerater means, but I know the words Signetic Syncro.”

Suddenly, a small voice rang up from behind them, making the two turn to look with a surprised face. And then they saw the familiar tiny girl walking into the room with a small jacket. Maysa and Shin could only look at each other in the eyes confusedly.

“What do you mean, Angie?” Maysa asked. “About that Sign thing...”

“Signetic Syncro.” Angie completed the sentence. “It’s a special substance leaking out of the brain stem to drive the body to function differently. The substance is smaller than Nano, the special substance in humans that only a few can leak from their brain.”

The more she explained, the two raised their eyebrows out of confusion even harder. Especially Maysa, she even made a ‘Huh?’ sound out of her throat softly.

“I have it in me. Waree, Mister Shindanai, that guy, and even you as well.”

Angela pointed to Wisana, making Maysa jump.

“Wisana has it, too? What is that supposed to mean, Angie?” Maysa yelled out in confusion.

“Let’s calm down a bit.” Angela held her hand up. “First you must understand that this substance isn’t dangerous at all. Actually, it’s a great weapon that makes us better than those who don’t have it. Intelligence, body reflexibility, and even response rate of the six senses.”

“...” Both Maysa and Shindanai were silent. They looked at each other in confusion.

“Later or sooner, you have to know about this anyway, so let me explain it to you now for you to learn how to use it.” Angela paused for a moment, then she looked back and forth between Maysa and Shin. “Or at least learn to control it from leaking out too much like today, so you don’t pass out after the fight like these two.”

----------------

“Are you sure about this?”

The hoarse voice rang with a worried expression on the speaker’s face. Right now, she was looking over to the capital of the game called “Tristan.” Her eyes looked emotionally conflicted, while the man behind her was feeding a red fresh apple to the big blue bird. His large warm hand reached up to strike its face softly as the bird used its beak to bite the apple into its mouth.

“Thank you. You can go back to your office now.”

SHRIEK!

The travel bird made the noise in response, before galloping toward the other direction and disappearing from his sight.

Seeing that, the man sighed softly. Then he turned back to the woman and smiled at her.

“Yes, I am. We’ve come all the way here already.” He replied smilingly.

“B... but,” The woman’s brows were knitting together. “This is your enemies’ base. Don’t you think it would be too crazy to invade it alone, Sven?”

Hearing the question, he cracked into a soft amused laugh. His rough hand reached up and placed it on the woman’s head gently. That was random, and it made her blush again.

“Are you caring for me, hm, Nuchjaree?”
