Chapter 50: Surviving the Death to Meet with the Demons Part II
Chapter 50: Surviving the Death to Meet with the Demons Part II
“I knew it that there’re two more!”
She exclaimed.
Of course, Maysa’s intention to use the rainy shot was just to confirm the number of the enemies. The split bullets would hit any target in the range of 50 meters. Not only that the skill could assure that there were four of the monsters, but it made the hiding ones come out, too.
“Are you crazy, May?! Why did you pull the other two out?!” Manoch yelled from the other side.
“Just shut up and ride!”
Maysa yelled back immediately. Her big, round eyes were gazing hard at the gigantic centipedes like she was waiting for something. Wisana who was just watching still had no idea about what exactly she was aiming for!
“No, it can’t,” Maysa murmured. “Still too far.”
“What’s too far?” Wisana asked.
“They’re keeping the distance too far from each other. I can’t use my special skill like this.”
“Special skill...?”
“Wisana, can you slow down a bit? I’ll take a risk on this.”
“Huh?! Are you sure? If it goes wrong, we’ll be rolling down under the sand, totally!”
“Yes, I am! What? Does this easy task make you scared?!”
She scolded without looking at him because she was busy preparing something. It was the bombs that Manoch just gave her, making from many small bombs to increase ten times damage.
Wisana still did not understand what the girl was doing, but he slowed down as she asked.
“Whatever you’re planning to do, just do it fast, Miss Maysa. I am starting to get very scared of the craziness of your plan somehow!”
He said as his heart beat in a weird rhythm.
May had probably lost her mind, asking him to slow down for the disaster to catch up with them like this!
“Don’t worry, brother!” She said then she pulled off the bomb’s safety pin. “My plans will always work. Remember that!”
After she finished, the tiny hand of her threw the bomb in the direction that got the guys shocked, their eyes almost bulging off their sockets!
“Idiot! Where the hell did you throw it? Are you blind?!”
Manoch bawled out so loudly, while Wisana could only give out a wry smile.
Maysa did throw the bomb, but she threw it to the opposite side. The Juzsworms were on the left, but she threw the bomb to the right instead!!
“I guess that was according to the plan as well, right?” Wisana asked, sounding worried.
“Of course.”
BOOM!!!
The shockwave came from the blast a second later. And obviously, those Juzsworms did not get any damage from it.
“Now stop the bird, Wisana. You, too, Ae!”
“Huh? Are you crazy? You can just tell me to kill myself if you want me dead so much. No need to make it so complicated!”
“Idiot. Just shut up and do it!”
“Stop the bird, Ae!”
Wisana’s voice made his mouth shut, stopping all the arguments he had going on. Even though he did not quite get what Maysa was planning to do, he was speechless because the older one seemed to trust her with his life like that.
If this was not for Wisana’s sake, he would not have agreed to do something so risky!
The two huge birds stopped as Maysa commanded. They were staying still on the sand while four Juzsworms were coming straight in their direction in full speed since the bombs did not do any harm to stop them.
At the moment, three pairs of eyes were looking at the image thrillingly. Especially Manoch, who was gulping down, eyes widening as he had never seen something so scary like this for the entire playing hours. He had been in this game as a merchant, so he was used to the risk from some investment in items, not from fighting!
Unlike the other two who were riding on the same bird.
Their eyes looked calm.
And Maysa was even having a fun smile on her young face.
“You need to take all the responsibility, May. If I die, that’s on you!” Manoch said with a shaking voice.
“’Kay. I know that.”
“Are you sure? So, do you know that when a merchant dies outside the city, they will lose 5% of their money, and you need to pay that for me?!”
“I said I knew that,” she repeated, smiling in such a good mood. “But you’re not going to get any money from me tonight, Ae. because you’re definitely not gonna die.”
RUMBLEEE!!!
The Juzsworms were just incredibly crawling past the three of them!
The one who was insisting on dying paused in amazement, while Maysa was smiling, extremely satisfied.
“Just as planned.” She spoke. “Those guys don’t have eyes, so they rely on their hearing ability and sensing the heat wave. So, the loud noise and the heat from the explosion were the best distractions for them.”
“I see.”
Wisana started to follow Maysa’s thoughts now, but Manoch did not.
“And why are you pulling them there? Do you have the skill to kill them?”
“No, I don’t,” Maysa replied.
“Huh?”
“But I have the skill to deal with them, okay?”
After she finished, she pointed the guns at the targets that were going right into the middle of the heat and smoke of the messy explosion.
Mix Skill
Rainy Shot + Lock Shot
She called the skill out before a red and a golden beam were shot out of the barrels. They blended in the air, then split into four shots to attack the enemies that finally grouped up as she wanted.
The moment the beams hit the Juzsworms, the silver chains tied on their bodies, causing them to lie still on the sand immediately!
Wisana remembered this skill.
The special skill of Maysa could hold the enemy still for a while. It was the skill she used in the battle with Lord Inferno from the last time. But this time the skill was combined with the rainy shot, multiplying the chain shots to cover every monster on the map.
“So, you can mix skill, May?!”
Manoch asked with a surprised voice when he saw his friend was able to use such a high level of skill. It was a skill to combine at least two skills together to create unexpected damage and impact. Not only that, but the skill was also rare and could only be used by high-level players.
“I guess so.”
Maysa replied carelessly before the tiny figure of her collapsed on Wisana’s lap who was shocked and almost did not catch her in time.
“Are you okay?”
“I think it’s too soon for me to use the skill. See, it used up all my magic points and even had a debuff by getting me paralyzed. It worked just fine for the plan, not for the player though.”
She said as she forced out a wry smile. Hearing her, the guys looked up to catch eyes with each other.
“No, that’s not true. You’re the best for coming up with this perfect plan in such a short time. That was some genius thing, right Manoch?”
Wisana was asking for support to cheer her up.
But the one who was asked for help just let out a soft cough.
“It was all right.” He said as he turned away. “The plan was too crazy for a woman to come up with. I really want to give you praise, but please, next time don’t be too reckless. I’m a merchant, I don’t have fighting skills!”
“Good lord, your mouth really can’t say something nice, huh.”
Maysa said weakly.
She wanted to punch this annoying mouth of the merchant so much, but she could not. She was in the weariest state from draining up her magic points at once, and could not move from the paralyze debuff.
So, she could only send him the deadly gaze as she was lying still like a doll in Wisana’s arms.
“I think we should get going now.” She spoke. “The lock shots are not going to hold them forever. We’d better stop dawdling here.”
“I agree with that without any conditions.”
Wisana agreed and then caught eyes with Manoch, signaling that they should hurry out of there.
