Chapter 49: Surviving the Death to Meet with the Demons Part I
Chapter 49: Surviving the Death to Meet with the Demons Part I
“Faster, Wisana!!!”
The shouting with panic was from Maysa.
The little one was riding, facing the name’s owner on their favorite yellow bird. Because the pair of grey eyes were being used as a rare mirror to warn them about the deadly incoming attacks that were always so close to taking them down.
No longer than three seconds before she screeched out again.
“KYAAA!! To the left, Wisana!” She did not just say it, but also yanked his collar to the left as well.
Like he did not know where the left side was!!
“Got it. Got it!”
Wisana shouted back, pulling on the reins with his full force and abruptly diverting the bird to the left.
BOOM!!!
The action got them to survive in the nick of time.
The massive figure of something just landed itself on the spot the bird was on a second ago. The pair of brown eyes looked back and he gulped at what he saw, shuddering with fear. The creature looked just like a dark brown centipede. Just its 14 meters length was already terrifying enough, but it got even more terrifying when it was crawling on the sand!
“What the hell is that, May?!” Wisana asked.
“The Juzsworm!”
“The what?!”
“I said, Juzsworm!” Maysa brought out her information window. “It’s a desert monster, level 47, very tough. It’s also the type that automatically attacks.”
Hearing that, Wisana looked back at the Juzsworm monster again.
It looked like the giant centipede got a little confused that it missed the target. It shook its head a couple of times before opening its mouth to bare its teeth, drooling all over with the sticky green saliva. This image made him turn away, his face creasing.
“Disgusting.”
“Be careful. The saliva is a strong acid. It can debuff us to be poisoned and decrease our movement speed. You touch it, and you’re dead!”
“Na, watch out!”
Another voice shouted in warning, drawing Wisana’s attention to the front again. Another Juzsworm came up from the sand ahead of him. He flinched, pulling the rain back immediately.
“Sh*t! Where’d it come from?!”
“KYAAA!!!”
WHOOSH!!
Two centimeters, no, maybe just one centimeter was the distance between the Juzsworm and Wisana’s arm that he almost got knocked off the bird. The yellow bird screeched out as it was trying to run for its life.
“Be careful, bro. I think there’ll be many of them coming!”
Manoch rode another bird to their side, shouting.
“I think so, too. There’re probably at least four of them coming out.” Maysa was analyzing the situation here, looking very considered.
“They’re so fast. Can we really get away from them?!” Wisana clenched his jaws.
“Calm down, Na. I got some info about Juzsworm. I’m sending it to you now. Maybe it can be useful.”
“You do? Send it to me. Quick.”
Maysa commanded, getting a lot of tongue clicking from the merchant. However, this was not the time to argue, so he brought up his screen, sending the monster’s details to the little boss right away.

Maysa read the information on the screen quickly. Her grey eyes rolled left to right madly before she brought out her inventory window, too. This time she had to plan for the escape, the strike back, the weakness, and the strength of the enemies in such a short time.
Her pink lips were pressed together tightly.
This was bad. She did not have enough items to use. If the enemies were just two of them, they might have a chance to win. But right now, she was not so sure about the number of enemies, that was why her plan was incomplete!
“Ae, give me your inventory window.” the small voice decisively commanded.
“What are you going to do with it?”
“Just hand it over. Stop asking too much, or you wanna die?!”
And that was another time the one who was commanded made a displeased noise before he flicked the screen to the girl. Maysa skimmed through the three screens alternately as her brain was running fast. After a short while, the young face appeared with a cunning smile.
Now, they might have a chance!
If Manoch’s items were included, too, then they could make it.
“Ae, mix the items for me.”
Maysa turned to speak with Manoch again. The man looked back to see that those Juzsworms were still coming after them, but there was some distance between them that was safe enough to do it for her. So, he nodded.
“What do you need?!”
“Fire bullets and firebombs. Just mix everything you have. Give me the biggest one, the louder, the better.”
“Got it!”
The glasses merchant promised, bringing his screen back. Then he started mixing the items expertly. It was not even a problem for him even though he had to do it while he was riding the bird.
“Wisana, try to control the bird as steady as possible. I’ll tell you when to speed up and when to slow down. Also, you need to support me.”
“Huh?! Why do we need to slow down?” the bird rider raised his eyebrows.
“Don’t worry!” Maysa smiled sweetly. “That’s according to the plan, too!”
Wisana nodded firmly. Even though they had been sticking with each other for a short time, his trust in her was quite strong. She had proven her brilliant planning skill twice, right before his eyes. And this time, too, Wisana believed that no matter how small she had become, Maysa was still calm and determined as usual.
His large hands whipped the reins to rush the big bird forward.
“They’re ready, May!” Manoch shouted. “I can only make 500 of the fire bullets. And for the bombs, I conjoined them to be one with 10 times damage. How you like that?”
“Brilliant!”
Maysa smiled widely, picking up those items from the inventory screen Manoch handed her.
A second later, she brought out her favorite pistols. They seemed kind of strange today as they got a lot smaller than usual, making them look like some toy guns.
“May, what happened to your guns?” Wisana could not help but ask.
“Well, since I’m stuck in this tiny body, how am I supposed to be able to hold up those large barrels?”
She retorted right away. her hands were busy loading Manoch’s bullets into the magazines. Then she looked up to catch the eyes with the guys.
“Ae, try to stay out. If something goes wrong, then you come in to help immediately.”
Maysa shouted and the other nodded in agreement.
“And you, Wisana, hold me now.”
After her order, the man used one of his arms to carry the chubby figure of Maysa to the front, her face facing his chest. Then she grabbed a red potion to pull out the cork, drinking it all up.
It was the berserk potion that decreased the time period of channeling skills down to 60/1.
Now he knew what she was planning to do.
She was going to use her applied skills to save them from the crisis!
“Alright, now it’s time, guys. I’m giving them all I got!”
The small voice shouted out aloud, pointing her gun barrels at the enemies.
Rainy shot!
Blue light beams were shot out of the pistols before they gathered together in the air, forming a light ball. Then it split out into four shots, piercing directly into the targets. The two Juzsworms that were crawling after them paused, as another two beams went straight under the ground with a loud explosion, sounding,
BOOM!!!
“I knew it that there’re two more!”
