Chapter 499: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (1) Part VI

Chapter 499: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (1) Part VI

“The channel is interrupted, Captain. I ...I think it’s the effect of C-jammer (Communication Jammer). All signals are very confusing right now!”

“What...?”

Maysa whispered. Her eyes looked over to Waree right away. And when their eyes caught each other like they were communicating silently, it took Maysa only 3 seconds to process before she could understand the enemy’s plan thoroughly.

Her pink lips parted a little as she stood up from the captain’s chair with a panicked face!

“Aerin, fire retreat signal in the sky and get Leader Vincent back to our ship now. This is a trap. They purposely drew our leader out!”

“E ...eh?! Y ...yes, Captain!”

Aerin responded with a panicked face. She hurriedly turned to work turbulently on her control panel right away.

“Captain!!”

Suddenly, Mek shouted aloud to get the captain’s attention.

“What is it?”

“T ...to the front, the enemies’ crowd just got larger multiple times!”

“Huh?!”

The alert from the navigator made everyone widen their eyes in shock. Maybe that was because the new group of the Gargoyles was not just them alone, but they had brought 10 Balrogs, fire element monsters that were many times fiercer with them as well!

“They know I can read their plan.” Maysa ground her teeth.

Just the Gargoyles alone were nothing, but the Balrogs were boss-ranking monsters!

“Winked Balrogs in a time like this?” Waree whispered softly.

“Don’t be afraid of them! Waree, use support magic to increase Alexander’s armor. Miss Stella, use healing magic to take care of everyone on the ship please. Angie, focus on killing the Balrogs as fast as you can. Even though they’re 10 times more than us, we still have Shin and Mister Sander with us. Now forward at top speed. Break through the enemies.”

“Are we escaping?” Warunya shouted.

“We’re avoiding unnecessary fights,” Maysa said with a serious face. “Their target isn’t the Nemesis, but Wisana. And I’m not going to move according to the enemy’s plan.”

“But are we going to make it through? We haven’t located where the first attack came from yet. Maybe we’re moving according to their plan right now.”

Stella shouted a warning with an anxious face. Even so, Maysa still believed that her plan would never go wrong. And she was not going to risk Wisana being unfavorable in the fight any longer.

“If they think they can stop the Nemesis, then let them be our guest.

----------------

“Wah...”

The shout was from the tall man who was getting sucked into the swarm of enemies that scarily outnumbered him. He was flying on a clear path at first, but how come thousands more of the monsters suddenly showed up out of nowhere?!

They were Gargoyles, and if he did not mistake it, he saw some Balrogs fly past him as well!

“Oi, this is so damn creepy. What are you all doing?!”

Wisana yelled aloud as he kicked, punched, and tore wings off every Gargoyle that flew too close to him for about ten of them now. However, that was not different from standing still among a school of fish that swam past him quickly.

None of them attacked him. It was like they did not even care that he was there. They just flew past him straightly to attack Alexander only!

WHOOP!

After a moment as long as holding one breath underwater, the enemies’ army had flown past him totally like they did not see him. Those amber eyes looked after thousands of the monsters that intentionally ignored him, blinking.

“Oi! I’m right here. Don’t you want to fight me, too?”

Wisana waved his hand to get the attention from one of them.

“What the hell. Even the monsters are ignoring me, too? Could it be that I’ve really been forgotten now?”

He said, reaching to scratch his head out of boredom.

So, what did he have to do next?

Maysa told him to search for the real enemy that was behind this, and he saw that there were Balrogs among the swarm. Could it be that the first attack was these Balrogs? So, what should he do now? Should he go back to the ship to help or keep searching?

“Come on, being the only one who can fly isn’t fun at all.” He said before making clicking sounds. “I better keep searching for the enemy. That’s just a few Balrogs. When they meet both Master and Shin, the fire monsters will probably be the ones who cry.”

After speaking, he shrugged and decided to fly off, continuing to look for the enemy.

BANG BANG BANG!

But he did not spread his wings to go any further, because Alexander fired three red signal flares, making those amber eyes glance back in surprise.

Three red flares...?

Retreat signal.

But now?!

CRACK!!

He had not finished being shocked when the stingy pain hit his brain strongly. His eyes widened as his body felt numb like it was getting shocked by some high-volt electricity. And then, there was something at his feet telling him that,

A deadly enemy was about to attack him!!

WHOOP!!

As fast as he thought, the tall man bent forward out of instinct. The pair of red wings blasted their energy out at the fullest so the tall one could fly away from something that came from every direction extremely fast.

With a quick glimpse, he knew right away that they were large chains with a sharp blade at the tip of each one attacking Wisana at the same time, making him turbulently dodge them.

He pressed his lips together tightly, while his eyes were searching around for the attacker. And then he realized that the other ends of these chains were under the water. Instantly, he understood now why he could not find the attacker from up here. It was because they had been hiding under the sea the whole time!

After the thought, he clicked his tongue out of displeasure.

He summoned a fire element sword to hold firmly in each of his rough hands, before slashing the swords to cut the enemy’s weapon away instead of dodging like before. Even so, the attacks from eight directions were nothing to the man with ‘Impulse’ ability.

“Stop hiding like a coward already!!”

Wisana shouted resoundingly. He pointed the sword down on the water.

“A real warrior doesn’t use these stupid tricks. If you want to fight, at least reveal yourself, like a man!”

The insults were loud and clear.

Then, the eight chains started fading away slowly, leaving his serious face to gaze around him. But suddenly, the sea surface started to visibly shake.

The sea parted into two sides. This was a phenomenon where something massive was going to come out under the water, so it was normal for the sea to break apart. The first thing that was revealed was the head of some monster that looked a lot like a human. And then its two arms were seen. Its lower half body was not totally above the water, but there was something like tangling octopus tentacles appearing out. Moreover, there was a blade looking like a sharp trident at the tip of each tentacle.

“Er ...well,” Wisana stuttered. “Well, I did tell you to reveal yourself, but there’s no necessity to be this huge, sir.”

His smile went completely wry after speaking. Maybe that was because the enemy that just came out was 50 meters high. It could be said that this one was enormous in the way that it could stand in the deep sea casually!

“Uh, ...well, may I have your name, sir?”

Wisana said to the new enemy with an awkward face. The enemy did not look like a monster or a player. But it was something he had seen in those pictures of Greek Gods.

Like the god of the sea...

Poseidon.

“I’ve done it with a dragon and the item hunters. So, lucky me today that I got to fight a god...”

RUMBEEEL!!

Wisana did not finish his sentence when some noise was heard from behind him again. It did not sound good, because it sounded exactly like in the beginning, the sound of something huge breaking through the sea up again.

He slowly turned to look and saw that it was not another god of the sea this time, but a gigantic golem. Well, it was not quite right to call it a golem, because this one had something different. The first thing was that the body of this golem had curves like a woman’s body. Plus, there were some trees growing scatteringly on it. If this big sister lay down, he would think that it was some large island surely.

This enemy was as tall as the first one. Moreover, it was gazing at Wisana like a reminder that he did not have just one enemy here.

“That’s Poseidon, then this one’s probably Gaia, the goddess of earth, huh?”

Wisana was familiar with these Greek gods so well because they were often mentioned in his art classes. But who would think that one day, he got to fight some of them like this?!

“I’m so, so screwed.”
