Chapter 498: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (1) Part V
Chapter 498: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (1) Part V
“What do you mean?” The boy with light brown hair asked.
“I don’t know.” Shindanai shrugged. “It’s just that every time I’m with Vincent, the enemies are never actually easy at all. You didn’t learn anything from the experience in Dores at all, Kongkiat?”
After getting the talk back like that, the younger one forced out a dry smile. “That’s right.”
WHOOSH!
And then the strong wind blew past them with a bright red beam of light launching out of the ejection tunnel in front of the ship. And there he was, the tall, familiar-looking man, spreading out the Butterfly Effect wings to tangle with the enemies before anyone realized.
“Everyone, get ready. The enemies are here!”
Tunwa shouted to alert again. And as fast as a thought, Shindanai managed to summon his Longinus out with a hand wave, getting ready to fight with light and dark elements. As well as Sander and Kongkiat, they had summoned magic marbles out in full combat mode now!
BOOM!!!
The battle bell rang as the beam from ‘Swine,’ the main shooter of Alexander with 2,500 damage points, was shot right at the crowd of Gargoyles, causing a large explosion that blew some of the enemies into pieces and dust in the blink of an eye!
After the first attack, countless enemies went straight for the players at the top of the ship from every direction. Shin was the first one who cut an enemy in half with a slash of his spear, followed by Sander and Kongkiat who started using their magic warrior moves to rush in and tackle an enemy, knocking it backward onto another one to blow off just like a bowling ball hit the pins.
“Should we make this a competition?” The master asked aloud as he grabbed Gargoyle’s head and crushed it mushily onto the Ship.
“That’s gross, Master. Stop it. The ship might be strong, but it can still stain, you know.” Kongkiat narrowed his eyes at the gore stuff he saw. “Anyway, what are we competing in?”
“How about who can kill the most wins?” Sander answered.
“Sounds interesting!” Kongkiat shouted back after he punched an enemy in the face. “And the winner will get what?”
Shotgun Smash!
BOOM!!
85,785!
Sander turned to dash his deadly palm at an enemy before it burst into many magic beams that went through a dozen enemies, taking them down in the sea below.
“The loser has to buy Nautilus wear equipment for the winner, how about that?”
Hearing that, Kongkiat grinned as he turned to use ‘Shotgun Smash’ on an enemy as well.
“That sounds better!”
Without saying anything more, the Master and disciple split up to attack the enemies frantically. So, including Shin’s damage, too, the crowd of Gargoyles that was attacking Alexander was being hit back all the same.
Tunwa was just as good. He held his large, round shield to protect himself from the tackle attack of these Gargoyles, before swinging his sword in the other hand, cutting each of them in half easily. The players in the field unit were doing good in the fight as well. They held their formation in a circle that had mages and archers in the center and the warriors who had more strength on the outside.
It seemed that Tunwa’s battle formation worked because everyone in his unit kept moving out of their instincts and habituation. So, even though the enemies were outnumbering them, it turned out that these fewer people could slowly break through the army of Gargoyles easily.

“Split missiles, fire!!”
Captain Maysa shouted the order in a decisive voice, and Warunya launched dozens of missiles right away. The missiles split out like pellets after they were fired, eliminating many of the Gargoyles from the air.
“The enemy’s number has been reduced by more than 20% now, Captain.”
Aerin turned to report with a serious face.
“That’s still too slow. Fire the split missiles faster, chief Warunya.” Maysa ordered. “Angie, use multiple targets magic to attack. Enemies are the type that have thin armor, so it’s best to make the damage spread as far as possible.”
“Yes.” Warunya and Angie replied at the same time.
Chain Thunder!
After the words, Angie used the magic diffuser to cast a small magic lightning out right away. The small flash of lightning hit one Gargoyle, before bouncing off at another and another terrifyingly. Moreover, the lightning attached the bodies of the monsters together as it went on to the next monsters, creating a thin deadly wire that killed whatever accidentally ran into it, too.
This magic skill was perfect for dealing with enemies that came in a huge swarm.
The enemies were too weak...
This was too easy. Even though the monsters came in this many numbers, it was still not enough to stop the Nemesis. There could be thousands of them here, but if her guild kept attacking them together, the crowd of Gargoyles would be wiped out in a heartbeat.

But the problem was the first attack; the attack that could shake the entire ship. Okay, it might not be damaged due to Waree having activated the shield to protect it all the time. But with that one hit, the attack broke her shield away instantly.
So, the one that was behind this was absolutely one of the deadly ones.
They hoped those were just monsters.
Because if they were players, that would be a totally big deal!
“Aerin, how’s leader Vincent doing? Did he find any target yet?” Maysa asked.
“Not yet.” Aerin turned to answer her. “He’s flying around to search for the enemy, while he was wiping the Gargoyles out of the way.”
“Tell him not to go too far from the ship.”
“Roger.”
After the command, Maysa reached to touch her lips as she considered. Some common monsters should not be able to attack them like this, because they had the camouflage system active all the time. So, they would never see them through this system, unless they were boss-ranked monsters. And if the attacker was actually a player, they should not be able to notice them, if they did not have some magic barrier waiting to detect them beforehand.
So, the enemy was well prepared.
The proof was these Gargoyles. Could it be that the item hunters were behind this? But if she were one of them, she would not have attacked now, not when Vincent’s best players were all together like this.
Then who could this be?
Maysa needed to figure out who could be Wisana’s enemy.
Marcus? No way, that guy would not use a strategic attack like this.
William? Was that guy this skilled ever?
Then who else was after the Nemesis in such a time?!
“Boss, do you copy? Boss, do you hear me?”
Suddenly, Aerin, the one who managed the communication system, spoke in a panicked voice, getting those light grey eyes to look at her instantly.
“What’s the matter, Aerin?” She yelled.
“The channel is interrupted, Captain. I ...I think it’s the effect of C-jammer (Communication Jammer). All signals are very confusing right now!”
“What...?”
