Chapter 500: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (2) Part I

Chapter 500: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (2) Part I

“Master!!”

Kongkiat shouted resoundingly through the area after he had just taken the 158th Gargoyle down on the floor successfully. His pitched-black eyes were looking at the scene before him as he gasped, as well as the middle-aged man who had a joyful face.

Even though there was a smile on his face, big drops of sweat still ran down his cheeks. Those rust-colored eyes were sparkling in total shock.

"Poseidon and Gaia?” Sander whispered. “It’s Aaron? This’s not so fun now!”

Even the master of the magic warrior class clenched his fists tightly. His eyes caught two gigantic bodies of the enemies. One of them was the god of the sea who had blue skin like a frantic sea. And the other one was the goddess of earth who had a body that was strong like a rock mountain.

It was really them!!

Sander was cursing loudly in his mind. Then he rushed out of the fight, going straight to the entrance of the ship. And these actions of his made the disciple widen his eyes.

“Where are you going?” Kongkiat shouted.

“Well, I’m following the big bait over there,” Sander replied smilingly.

“What about over here?!” Kongkiat was shocked. His eyes went wide as he dodged another Gargoyle’s attack to another spot.

“I’ll let you handle it, kiddo.”

After speaking with a wink, Sander dropped himself on the ladder in that small entrance right away, leaving the younger one gasping behind him. He could only shout out of frustration.

“Master!” He yelled out for the other. “Even the big one still counted as one. Okay?!”

“What? How come? There must be some bonus points for the big ones!”

Sander’s voice shouted back from inside the ship, making the listener shake his head wearily as usual.

“Kongkiat!”

Suddenly, Shin shouted to bring the younger one’s focus back. Then his eyes saw large claws fly through the air at full speed to his side. And then, those onyx eyes went wide open, looking as if they were about to pop out of their sockets!

“WUH!!”

WHOOP!!!

The sound of the wind was loud and strong as the tip of his hair was cut off. But luckily, his body was small so he could dodge the enemy’s attack narrowly.

Kongkiat yelled, rolling away to the other side. And when his eyes caught the attacker, he then realized that there were not only the Gargoyles but also a fierce fire monster standing and snarling to welcome him, right now.

“A Balrog?” The young man whispered to himself.

“This battle doesn’t look like some common ambush anymore huh.”

Shindanai walked to his side. Those lavender-purple eyes were staring at the new enemy. His face did not have a smile on. His hands were holding his weapon tightly.

The boss-ranking monster was towering over the two young men, while 9 more of them were flying around Alexander like a flock of vultures waiting to devour a corps. The Gargoyles had stopped fighting now. They chose to fly in a circle as if they were waiting for the Balrogs to start fighting first.

“Why did they suddenly stop?”

Tunwa asked, slowly walking backward until his back bumped into Shindanai and Kongkiat. Most of his unit had gone back inside the ship, so there were less than 10 players on the ship’s roof trying to fight the enemies.

“They’re playing,” Shindanai spoke.

“W ...what’s that?” Kongkiat frowned.

“Balrog is a type of monster that enjoys fighting a lot. So, they’re going to have their friends coming down to battle one by one. Usually, they don’t hunt in groups anyway. And these Gargoyles are normally minions for a boss like Balrog. That explains why there’re so many of them here because there’re 10 Balrogs in the same place.”

Hearing Shindanai say that, the youngest one made a sour face, while Tunwa blew a breath out of his mouth stressfully. The three men looked at the huge enemies on the other side, assuming that Wisana was handling them. But instead of getting freaked out while surrounded by enemies like this, the three found it ridiculous.

“My life’s never found peace once after I joined the Nemesis,” Tunwa said.

“R ...right.” Kongkiat agreed with a withering voice.

“But anyway, we need to get through these monsters,” Shindanai suggested. “Because if Alexander’s surrounded, then we won’t be able to go help Vincent.”

“Agreed.” Tunwa nodded.

“Then what are we going to do with these 10 Balrogs?” Kongkiat asked in a shaking voice.

Hearing the question from the youngest one, the other two caught eye, and then, they curled up an amused smile.

“You didn’t have to ask,” Tunwa said.

“We should share 3 Balrogs each. And for the other one left, the one who can kill it gets bonus points.”

After Shindanai’s words, the youngest widened his eyes.

“Even you’re going to join this, too, Mister Shin?”

“Yeah, don’t make the competition for you two only. I’m the number one hunter of the game, you know.”

“Oi, I’m going to get offended if I’m left out like this, too.” Tunwa objected. “Even though I’m not an expert in hunting, I think I can handle a few Balrogs.”

After speaking, the three turned to look at each other. They curled up a delighted smile and finally nodded as the sign to start. Shindanai was the fastest. His tall body launched out, going straight for the Balrog that was standing in front of him before anything else.

Kongkiat and Tunwa split in separate ways. The magic warrior boy proceeded to grab a stupid Gargoyle that was standing on the ship to use as a great object to throw with the ‘Monster Throwing’ skill. That stupid body of the Gargoyle crashed into another Balrog, causing enough damage to get the attention of the fire monster to snarl at the kid threateningly!

“Bring it on. It’s just some Balrogs. I got this!” Kongkiat shouted aloud.

Meanwhile, Tunwa started his fight by commanding one of his archers to attack a Balrog to get its attention. And when the fire monster took the bait and flew down, Tunwa hopped on its back, before cutting its wings off easily!

“You’re better without wings!!”

He shouted aloud as he opened his fight with the Balrog certainly.

At the same time, other members started taking down the Gargoyles one by one with their range-weapons. It was like they took advantage of the time when they were not attacking to decrease their number as much as possible!

“W ...WAH!!”

The yelling was heard once again, and this time, with long tentacles like that of an octopus covered in clear liquid and a sharp trident on the tip of each one!

The tentacles were coming at Wisana furiously, chasing to stab through this small body of his. And counting approximately, there were like 20 of them already!

“Come on. And why the hell does God Poseidon suddenly want to attack me?”

Wisana tried to fly away from the every-direction attacks daringly. He was flying backward for a moment before his brain got a stingy pain again, the instinct that told him that, ...

Another attack was coming from behind him!!

“Holy!”
