Chapter 495: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (1) Part II
Chapter 495: Versus ‘Gaia’ and ‘Poseidon’ (1) Part II
“Let’s stop playing. It’s been almost two hours already.” Wisana said with a smile on his face.
“You’re getting away with my money?” The one who never gave up stared at him.
Shin was the type who did not speak much, but he hated losing the most, too.
“No, I’m not.” Wisana burst out laughing. “I just feel that I’m getting a bit too lucky now.”
“...That is a brag?” Shin frowned his eyebrows at him.
“No, no.” Wisana waved his hand around in denial. “I’m not bragging, but I really feel that it’s getting too good. And believe me, when I get lucky, there has to be a huge screwed-up fortune coming after. You don’t want that, trust me.”
The listener narrowed his eyes like he did not believe it, but finally, he nodded in agreement grudgingly. Then, Wisana threw the deck of cards that he freshly got as a gift from Waree back in his inventory.
Right now, the boys with completely different types of personalities, were sitting in the living room of Alexader, because they did not have any tasks and chores to do on the ship at all. In Shindanai’s case, he was assigned as a combat unit, so this guy would be absolutely jobless when there was not a fight. But in the case of Wisana the smartass, he got kicked out of the bridge by Maysa for being annoying, even though all he did was stand still doing nothing. But later, he realized that when she said annoying, it meant ‘annoying to her eyes.’
Alexander had been in the air for 3 hours now. The journey started when the warship of the Nemesis guild reached the same level as the clouds, using the ‘Mirage Choroid’ system to camouflage.
They were headed south to go straight to the sea route that connected to Tristan. On a bright sky day without rain clouds or strong wind, Alexader could fly at 520 km./hr. easily. That was why they were about to fly past the western town like Ziggard in a while.
“And what about Nam?”
Suddenly, Wisana spoke again after he closed down all his information windows. Meanwhile, the one who got asked froze, glancing at him.
“What about her?” Shin asked.
Hearing the question, Wisana let out a long sigh.
“You really had to ask? About her sulking with you. Did you two make up yet?”
Shin paused after the question. He purposely turned away like he was annoyed by it. However, with the familiarity of this guy’s ‘talk more than necessary’ disease, Shin briefly replied,
“No.”
And that was all for the irritating one to crack up and shake his head in pity for him.
“You suck at this. You had days to make up with her, but you couldn’t find time to explain yourself to Nam. What were you doing, frozen prince?”
“It’s none of your business,” Shin argued with a deadpan face. “I don’t have to listen to any of your words, since you’re the one who got exiled, because you’ve been failing to make your girlfriend stop being mad at you.”
“Ouch, that burns.”
The one who got nagged ground his teeth.
“You’re saying that my words were not reliable, ice boy?” Wisana said smilingly. “At least I have a girlfriend, though. I know what to do, how, and when to do it. But well, you probably can’t make Nam smile, let alone make up with her.”
“...”
Shin was silent as his eyes caught Wisana smiling amusedly at him. So, he rolled his eyes and sighed tiredly.
“It’s not like I don’t want to reconcile, I don’t know how,” Shin spoke up softly.
“That’s the problem.” Wisana held a finger up. “Nam’s normally sulky already. Plus, her level of sensitivity is just as high as other women. And then there’s you, who makes every word so hard to come out like opening a scallop. So, things get messed up.”
Shin did not reply as he thought that this guy was kind of weird today. Normally, Wisana would block him out of his sister, but how come the guy got in the mood to talk about this with him now?!
“What am I supposed to do then?” Shin asked honestly.
“Easy, dude. What you lack is love experience.”
Wisana smiled brightly, but the listener arched his brows with a noise in his throat that sounded like, ‘Huh?’
“So, you might have to experience it sometimes, dude, or you will be sitting like a dummy like this forever.” Wisana said, then winked at Shin. “Let’s start off simple, what kind of movie do you like?”
“Action, investigation.”
“Favorite color?”
“Black.”
“Favorite book?”
“‘The Silence of the Lambs,’ ‘Hannibal’.”
“What about your favorite shows, series, or drama?”
“I don’t watch dramas. But for the series, I like the crime investigation genre. And ‘Games of Thrones’ is fun.”
“Damn, Shin, your life is scarily dark, my dude.”
“Leave me alone,” Shin muttered.
And Wisana sighed wearily, wondering if this guy would ever find someone he liked in this lifetime. Apart from his sister, this guy was barely interested in anyone.
“Okay, forget that.” Wisana cut it off. “I have something to help you.”
“What?” The listener raised his eyebrows.
After that, the cheeky one started looking for something in his inventory window turbulently. A few moments later, he grabbed something there and handed it to Shin. The items were a mini disk with the words ‘Coffee Princess’ on the cover, and a pocket novel that was obvious from the cover that it was a ‘romantic novel.’
“These are?” Shin knitted his brows.
“Korean drama and a cute, romantic novel. You should watch and read it, so your life is more balanced. Or else, your scale will be too weighted to the dark side, while your bright one’s helplessly lifted up the air.”
The listener sighed wearily, feeling pity for himself for a second that he almost believed that this guy would actually help him make up with Waree. But it turned out, this guy just wanted to mess with him.
“I think you should keep these to watch and read yourself, Vincent.” Shin shoved the items back into Wisana’s hands.
“Why’re you jerk making that face like you don’t believe me?” Wisana grinned. “Before I confessed to May, I watched this K-drama over and over, you know. It was to build up my romantic mood to be at its finest. And about the novel, it has a lot of sweet pick-up words for you to flirt with a girl.”
“Are you messing with me?” Shin asked, trying to conceal his emotions.
“No, I’m serious!” Wisana snapped. “Trust me, it can help you. These two were selected by me. They’re my favorites, my belongings I’ll keep for life. Give them back when you finish them. They’re licensed. I bought them with real money. It has 7 language translations, and the other has 20 subtitles.
And then, the hard seller shoved the items back into Shindanai’s hands again with an annoying smile on his face. The one who was forced to take them could only let out a tired sigh. Okay, if this man was not really messing with him, then the idea of love he had was probably a lot different from other people.
What kind of person was he to think that love in real life would be like in some dramas and novels?!
Shindanai grudgingly took the items just to throw them in his inventory carelessly. That was all.
Wisana curled up a satisfied smile after seeing that. His eyes turned to the watch that popped up as his mind said and saw that it was 10.25 o’clock. Then he sighed slightly.
“Those guys are really on time. This is exactly on our schedule to be in the sky territory above the west sea.”
