Chapter 481: Coming Home, Disaster Part III

Chapter 481: Coming Home, Disaster Part III

“Dead ...I am so dead,” Wisana whined.

“Don’t say that, Bro.” Kongkiat tried to cheer him up. “At least, May’s probably sensible enough to hold back. But I still think that you might as well wear some protective equipment because all the Taekwondo skills you have won’t help you with this.”

“Thanks for the cheer up. I am so touched. You brat!”

The younger one just let out a dry laugh as he followed his master out. And Wisana wanted to walk out of the spot, too, but Samie girl would not stop clinging to his arm!

“Samie, please.” The man cried desperately.

“Yes, Love?”

“From now on, don’t talk, or be clingy to me, okay? My lover has a serious jealousy problem. So, could you do that for me until I explain everything to her?”

Listening to that, the girl put a finger to her lips in consideration for a moment, she glanced away, while her brain was overdriving. She might have this adorable innocent look, but this innocent was just coating a ticking bomb, waiting to blow in Wisana’s face.

“Okay.”

“Really?!”

Wisana shouted happily because it seemed like Samie finally started to understand things now.

“I have to be obedient and listen to my Love anyway. So, just tell me if you need anything, because it’s my duty to please you.”

“Good girl.”

The cheeky one said in a delightful voice, stroking her hair softly.

If she gave him the promise, then he could now be relieved. Shortly after that, Sarquros let go of Wisana’s arm as she was told before they both walked out of there. And it seemed that Wisana had gained his confidence back now.

“How are you, Mister Sander? You were gone for a very long time. We were worried, you know.”

“Well, I’m just okay, but I have a lot of dope stories to share with you guys.”

“What about our souvenirs?”

“You really asked for souvenirs before anything else?”

The loud, joyful voices came up right when their respected Sir Sander greeted the Nemesis who were working around their ship. Most of these teenagers were already familiar with Sander. That was why they were all glad to see this senior, who had been away for a long time, finally coming home.

“Hey, how was your trip, Kong? You’ve been following Mr. Sander from pole to pole like this, you probably got some good skills from him, right?” A man put his arm around Kongkiat’s neck.

For every member, Kongkiat was like their “youngest brother,” whom they were fond of. That was why his popularity was not less than Sander’s at all.

“Apart from cleaning up after Master’s mess, it was good.”

The younger man said with a big smile on his face, making everyone around laugh amusedly. It was obvious that everyone was happy to see these two.

“Wait, isn’t that Mister Sander and Kong?” Another voice rang delightedly. “You’re back already? Chief Warunya just informed me that you two would come back soon, but you’re here a lot sooner than we thought. Anyway, how did you find us? I was just about to send someone to pick you up outside the woods.”

The voice was from Mek. He was a tall man who wore a monocle. His black hair was slicked back, making him look neat like some nobleman from an old era.

“Hello, Mister Mek.” Kongkiat greeted.

“Hi, Kong. Did you grow taller when you were away?”

Hearing the older one’s question, the young man smiled softly.

“I’m 169 centimeters tall now.”

“HAHA, you’re about to reach that 170 bar already. Just drink more milk, Kiddo.” Mek said, before turning to Sander. “And you’re doing well, right, sir? By the way, how did you find us exactly?”

“Well, I ran into a great guide in Vanilia.” Sander grinned. “I stopped by the town for some breakfast, but we met a friend there instead.”

“Who?”

“It’s me.”

Sander was not the one who answered the questions, because right now, a tall, familiar-looking man was walking in to join their conversation, a black-haired man who was pulling out his favorite jacket to wear again.

“Boss!!”

Everyone bawled out loudly.

“Yeah, I know I’m the boss. So, what are you guys yelling for?”

Wisana said casually. He put on his uniform with a calm face, looking like a surgeon putting on their clothes before performing an operation.

“Well, we yelled out of shock, since you just went missing without a trace.”

“And then suddenly popped out of nowhere like a ghost like this!”

His guildmates started complaining in unison, making the leader chuckle.

“I just went to Vanilia, not taking a backpacker trip to Yeti. You guys don’t have to be this extra.”

“You can still make jokes, huh.” Mek nagged. “Do you realize how much bull-crap we needed to put up with while you were away?”

“What bull-crap?” Wisana asked, raising his eyebrows.

“It’s your captain. She’s been putting out on us. Someone ever breathed near her, and she would go off like an atomic bomb. And if someone got in her way, she would threaten them with her mean stare!”

“You, too?”

“Of course. The other day ago, I dropped something in front of her, and she looked at me like I just burnt down her house.”

“Tell me about it. I made the monster’s blood stain while I carried it on the ship, and she totally snapped.”

Hearing the complaints from his guildmates, the leader could only smile wryly and scratched his neck awkwardly in response.

“When you were gone, Captain was like a lion on the loose,” Mek said in a shaking voice. “She’s fierce and brutal without any reasons at all.”

The listener glanced at his master who was standing at another corner and saw Sander slitting his hand across his throat, clearly implying something to him. And that made him laugh nervously.

“But I’m back now,” Wisana said with a sigh. “I know what I did was wrong. That’s why I’m lying so low like this.”

“I think it’s already too late for that.”

Mek said, sounding fed up with this. But when he was about to complain more, his eyes caught with the slim woman with long straight black hair walking after Wisana. She looked calm and polite as she joined them, getting the guildmates’ attention. Some of them even said, “Cute.” out loud.

“And who’s this, Boss?” Mek asked. He adjusted his monocle like he wanted to see her better.

“Uh, ...She’s Samie, our new member. I’ll tell you more later. It’s a long story.”

Hearing that, Mek nodded grudgingly. However, Sander, who had his arm around Kongkiat’s neck, leaned closer to Mek, and with a joking voice, he whispered,

“It is indeed a long story. I’m afraid that it can’t be put in one short Chapter. Plus, the main character in the story would probably die in the end as well.”

“Master!” Kong scolded his master again.

“Where’s Tun?”

Wisana spoke up again like he was dying to move on from this topic. And it worked because Mek turned to smile at him without noticing it.

“Oh, chief Tunwa’s out for a monster hunt around here as unusual. He’s probably back in half an hour. That’s his usual time to come back as well.”

Wisana nodded in acknowledgment. Then he licked his lips as if there was something bugging his mind.

“Er... and...”

“Yes?” Mek replied.

“Where’s May? Is she on the ship?”

“Oh, Captain?” Mek smiled widely. “No, she’s not. I think she’s out to hunt monsters with them as well.”

Hearing that, Wisana blew out a sigh of relief without anyone seeing. He faked a smile up, before continuing the conversation with Mek.

“Is that so? And when is she coming back?”

“In five,” Mek said, holding five fingers up.

“Five minutes?” Wisana raised his eyebrows.

“Four.” And he put a finger down.

“Huh?”

“Three, ...two, ...one.”

RUMBEEEL

After his words, Wisana swore that he heard heavy footsteps rushing through the forest behind him furiously. Plus, it sounded like a tank crushing over everything in its way as well!

“WI-SA-NA!!!”
