Chapter 479: Coming Home, Disaster Part I

Chapter 479: Coming Home, Disaster Part I

“Uh-huh, so, that is where you guys have been hiding the whole time. I can see now why no one ever finds you.”

The delighted voice rang up by the tall man who was walking in front of everyone with a happy face. One of his hands was holding a gourd bottle filled with fine booze, while his sharp eyes were looking at the views of nature around him occasionally.

“Master, I think you’ve drunk it too much already.”

A small voice of a young man followed with worry.

“Hai! It’s not like I drink like this every day. So, let me enjoy this once in a while, will you, Kong?” The taller man said with a smile.

“I will if this isn’t the 8th bottle already!” The teenager snapped. “How are you going to get drunk in broad daylight like this? At least mind about the appropriation a bit. We’re at war!”

“Alright, alright.”

He said, ruffing the kid’s hair out of endearment.

“You’re always like this.”

Watching them talking and bickering closely like that from afar, Wisana could not help but smile a little amusedly. He was not surprised why Kongkiat and Sander were close like son and father like this, since this master of magic warrior class uncle had been dragging the kid along everywhere for the past months.

It could be said that he was now Sander’s right hand in replacement of Lala, who had to assist the guild perfectly. And even though these two’s personalities were completely different, they turned out to be like different magnetic poles, pulling and sticking with each other.

Thinking about this, Wisana let out a long sigh.

The three had left Vanilia town for quite a long while and were now on their way back to the meeting spot, which was Alexander ship that was hiding in the woods. These gentlemen were pacing on the soaked ground carefree, except for Wisana, who looked strangely anxious and restless.

The junior did not miss how he huffed out the sigh, so Kongkiat turned to smile at him with a curious face.

“You look quite unwell, Na, are you okay?” The young man asked, “You’ve been like that since we left Vanilia. Are you sick or something?”

“...Yeah, well,” Wisana tried to reply awkwardly.

“What else could he be?” It was Sander who interrupted in a high-pitched voice. “This expression means that he’s afraid of his girlfriend because he knows he’s guilty of countless crimes. See, he sneaked out of the base, and now was going back with the other chick. BRUHHAHAHA, I got to tell you this,”

Sander said, leaning his face closer to Wisana right away.

“You’re totally doomed.”

“Master!”

Kongkiat scolded, but Sander did not listen. He just turned away to burst into laughter throughout the wood.

At this rate, the youngest in the party could only glance at his senior’s face which started getting paler and paler every time. Clearly, Uncle Sander scarily knew where to cut.

Wisana, who was now back to being like a man again, had lost all the words. His eyes looked down. His legs started slowing down, as if he wanted to run in the opposite direction of Alexander ship instead.

“I ...it’s going to be fine, Na. I believe that May will understand.”

“I hope so, too.”

Wisana said in a whispering voice.

Yes, he really did think that May would understand him, unless this girl was not following back like this!!

After speaking, those amber eyes looked over his shoulder to the back and saw the slim girl walking after him, looking just like a kitten following its mother.

“Hey, Sarquros,” Wisana spoke to her in a plain voice.

“You can call me Samie, Love.”

She smiled sweetly back at him, looking so innocent that the watcher almost choked up.

Because this girl was extremely different from when they met the first time.

“Okay, then, Samie it is.” He said, huffing out a ‘HRRRRR’ sound. “So, you’re really going to follow me back to the guild? You’re a monster, and a boss. Grandma, ...I mean is Texela okay with you going away from Drago Hild like this?”

Wisana said in a calm voice. He was trying to compromise with her. Because it would be a lot better if Sarquros stopped following him and decided to get back to Drago Hild.

“Yes, she is.” Samie smiled cutely at him. “I asked her for permission myself, and she agreed that I should come and be your strength in the war.”

“...Grandma said that?!”

The listener widened his eyes, and she nodded in response. He then turned away, grinding his teeth as he realized who was the one throwing some crap for him to deal with.

What did she think she was doing, Grandma!!

“I was worried about our child, too. That’s why I decided to travel. And actually, there’s another reason why I came to see you...”

And that was once again that the girl spoke shyly, before turning away in a manner that made the other cannot help but get shy, too. Sander, who was overhearing it, burst into loud laughter, while Kongkiat was smiling wryly. And the one who was the cause of her shyness just ruffed his own hair out of frustration.

Please,

Please don’t act like that, he wished.

It was like she was falling in love with him!!

No, no, this was going to be a total disaster for him!

“Yeah, well, actually, I didn’t run into any troubles, Samie. That was no big deal. Plus, our... daughter...” His voice trailed off because his life would have ended if Maysa heard the word ‘our’ from him. “Er, about Mona Lisa, I promised Grandma to take good care of her, so don’t worry. You might want to go back to Drago Hild carefreely now.”

Those ruby-red eyes looked at Wisana for a moment,

“Love, are you casting me away?” She asked in an innocent voice.

“No, It’s not like that,” Wisana told her what was opposite to his thoughts. “It’s just that I don’t want to disturb you. And you should be doing your duty, which is to rule Drago Hild. I can handle it out here, don’t worry.”

“Liar.”

The girl cut him off in a sharp voice. She pulled something out of her loose cloak and held it in front of Wisana.

“You said you didn’t run into any trouble, then what is this?”

Wisana looked at the thing in Samie’s hand as he blinked. Because it was Pride’s newspaper with the huge headline saying, ‘Vincent’s defeated.’

“Er, ...this is.”

“You’re having troubles then why don’t you accept my help? Could it be that I annoy you?!”

She stared at him after speaking. Wisana was speechless because those cute ruby-red eyes were glittering as they stared at him. Seeing that, all he could do was to scratch his head helplessly.

“I’m right, aren’t I? You’re annoyed by me. Do you despise me as well?!”

“...Well, no, it’s not...”

BOOM!!

He did not finish his sentence, because the girl was kicking her feet like a spoiled child. If she was some normal girl, this action might look very cute. But she was a dragon, that was why the ground where she kicked cracked out in a large circle, almost knocking Wisana off his feet even.

“I got it. I’m just some annoying thing to you. You’ve already disliked me since I didn’t behave the first time when we met!”

She snapped; her eyes were tearing up.

Meanwhile, Wisana widened his amber eyes at how strong the girl in front of him was.

‘It’s not like I dislike you, love, but I’m terrified of you!!’

“Right. You’ve taken it from me. You already have your satisfaction of playing with my body. Then you got bored, and now you’re ditching me.”

“Wow.”

“Playing with her body?”

The context started to become misleading more and more. Kongkiat was staring at his senior with a shocked face, while Sander was holding his cheeks, acting like he was so embarrassed by what he heard.

Wisana could only wave to his younger in denial as he stared at his master to threaten him to shut up already.

“H ...hey, Samie, please don’t dump the drama on me,” Wisana argued in a shaking voice. “Your words will make people misunderstand. When did I ever play with your body? I barely know you.”

“Oh, right. You’re a man. You’ve got nothing to lose.”

Samie shouted, making Wisana flinch back.

“You asked me when you did it, didn’t you? It was back then. I still have the scar. I can show you if you don’t believe me.”
