Chapter 464: Versus ‘Golden Trickster’ Part II

Chapter 464: Versus ‘Golden Trickster’ Part II

“Jeng, give me the stone.”

After the thoughts, he turned to command the man next to him in a decisive voice.

“What do you need it for?” Jeng asked.

“To save my daughter, of course. What kind of a question is that?”

Hearing that, the taller one arched his eyebrows right away.

“So, you want to return the stone to it now?”

Wisana shook his head in response. His amber eyes looked up at the man before him as if to say, ‘Trust me in what I’m about to do.’ Looking back at him, Jeng huffed out a brief sigh, before pulling the stone out and handing it to him.

The light green crystal was propped up in Wisana’s slender hand carefully.

Wisana grabbed it, before handing something back to Jeng.

“W ...what’s this?”

“A level 7 blast crystal. I transformed it to look like a knife. Take it.”

Jeng widened his eyes at the word “Blast” as he slowly and cautiously took the crystal with a sharp edge like a knife in his hands, making the owner chuckle!

“It’s not going to go off that easily. Not even when it’s thrown down from the top of a 10-storey building!”

“B ...but it’s level 7,” Jeng whined.

He heard that items had levels from 1-10, and the larger their number, the rarer and stranger they became. So, if this level 7 bomb went off. Jeng would not have any remains of him left.

“Don’t worry. It can only be triggered when it touches fire element magic, and I’ll be the one who ignites it myself.”

“T ...then why did you give it to me?” Jeng yelled, sounding frightened.

“I want you to take it and hide in a nice spot, like over there. That one’s not bad.”

After speaking, Wisana pointed to the top of the waterfall, which was like a hill with the height of a 3-floor building.

“You’ll definitely get the best sight of the enemy up there. Plus, our enemy is a golem, so it probably can’t do much to attack you. With the size like that, it’ll be too heavy to jump to you, but you have to be careful when it smacks to break the hill down.”

“A ...a ...and what do you want me to do up there? Isn’t it better if you climb up the top of the waterfall yourself?”

Jeng asked with a curious face. Actually, he did not have any problem with just walking around and up the hill. The man would take only 2 minutes to run up there.

But the problem was, what the hell did this girl want him to do exactly?!

“Find a safe spot to hide up there, Jeng. I’ll distract the golem. And in the meantime, you have to jump down from there and stab this crystal in the golem. And then, I’ll trigger the bomb to kill it at once.”

The one who just heard this crazy plan widened his eyes.

“That’s a good plan, Master. You want to play it like when we beat that Bludger Stone, don’t you?” Jinnie complimented her master in a delighted voice.

“That’s right, gorgeous. Earth monsters are very tough. If we don’t blow it with a magic wave from the fire element, there’s no way we can harm it. But with this tactic, even a golem can be knocked out of consciousness as well.”

Wisana said with a cruel smile. Those amber eyes caught the other man whose face had now turned pale, mouth gasping and the hand with the crystal in it shaking uncontrollably.

“You want me to jump the golem from there?”

Jeng pointed at the high hill on the side of the waterfall.

“Uh-huh. You have to aim carefully for the spot to stab it. Try finding the slits on its body. Golems have solid skin, but the neck joint is the easiest to break.”

“Are you crazy?!”

Jeng snapped, making Wisana pause.

“Why? Did I say something wrong?”

“It’s been all wrong since you ever came up with this plan, you crazy woman!” Jeng almost smacked that bomb on the ground, but he was too afraid that it would go off. “Just jumping at it is already impossible to do. Did you watch too many movies?”

“Why not?” Wisana raised his eyebrows. “I’ve even jumped at a dragon that was a lot bigger before.”

The bluster one was stunned after he heard that, unable to find words.

Attacking a dragon larger than this? What kind of monster was she exactly?

“Anyway, I can’t accept the plan. You stab it yourself.”

Jeng handed the crystal back to him after he finished speaking. However, Wisana did not accept it either. He just stared at the other one with a strange expression.

“You’ve chickened out now, haven’t you?”

Jeng flinched at the words. He glanced at the girl before him, raising his eyebrows. Wisana’s eyes were glittering as they looked at him in a mockery manner. Plus, the girl was having this cocky smile that looked so cute on her face, too.

“Aw, where did that one who asked to come with me go now?” Wisana said, then acted to look in another direction.

“You puffed chest.” Jeng ground his teeth when he was put under pressure. “Fine! I’ll do it. But for the record, I’m not scared. I’ve never fought a monster like this before, so I get excited.”

“Is it though?”

Wisana smiled mockingly, before pushing Jeng’s hand that held the crystal back away.

“Good then. You can proceed to your position right away. I’ll give you the signal to jump, and you have to jump right down. Understood, Mr. Lionheart?”

“Yeah! Fine, you sure are bossy.”

After speaking, Jeng took a deep breath as if he wanted to gather courage as much as he could. However, his legs still felt heavy anyway. He tried to walk off the spot, but the excitement made him barely take a step forward.

Seeing that, Wisana cracked into a laugh.

SLAP!!

“Don’t be afraid! You can even walk up to the sky if you have spirit!”

Wisana cheered him up with a harsh slap on the back of the scared one. Jeng was pushed forward with his back arching and eyes looking back at the other threateningly.

“Just you wait, asshat. I’ll get back at you when we’re back in Vanilia.”

“Sure, I’ll wait without putting my expectations too high.”

The irritating one kept talking back ceaselessly until Jeng walked away. And it seemed that the slap right on the back was highly effective because Jeng had stopped shaking totally now.

“Will he be okay? He seems to have very little experience in fighting.”

Jinnie asked in a worried voice, but Wisana smiled knowingly at her words.

“Yes, he does have less fighting experience. But he has passed the standard of having spirit, you know.”

He laughed amusedly after speaking. Seeing someone without skills repeatedly putting their spirit and effort into their fight until they got victory kind of reminded him of some stubborn kid somehow.

Wisana shook his head to clear every thought out, before glancing over at his daughter again. His hand was still clenching around the transparent green crystal tightly.

“I just hope that the bomb would kill the golem at once.”

Wisana said with an expression that seemed quite worried.

“Would you like me to launch an SOS signal to Alexander if it wouldn’t?” Jinnie asked, just in case.

“No. It won’t be a good idea to have Alexander move randomly. And to call the field unit in for support will take too long as well. I’ll just handle this myself.”

“But if you released your true strength, Mister Jeng would find out about who you are, too.”

Hearing that, Wisana was silent for a moment.

Then he huffed out a soft sigh like he was tired of this.

“Let’s not worry about that right now, Jinnie. First, we need to get Mona Lisa back.”

“Understood.”

Jinnie agreed obediently. She trusted that Wisana’s decision would not go wrong. Everything this man tried to do would always turn out fine in the end, even though it could be reckless sometimes.

“Alright then, we should go now,” Wisana said as he stood up.

“Yes, Master.”

After Jinnie’s agreement, the slim one quietly pushed branches out of the way until he was out of the tree lines a moment later. Those amber eyes looked around cautiously, and there was still no sight of the golem.

“Where’s that jerk hiding?”
