Chapter 465: Versus ‘Golden Trickster’ Part III
Chapter 465: Versus ‘Golden Trickster’ Part III
“Where’s that jerk hiding?”
He whispered, before tiptoeing to Mona Lisa carefully.
Wisana did not summon his weapon out, because he was afraid that would signal the golem to attack him before they could even make any agreement with it.
A while later, he was around 10 meters before he could get to his daughter.
“You just left her like this? You’re really not going to come out, you piece of stupid rock?”
Wisana cursed frustratedly before he decided to just walk right to his daughter. But at that moment, the ground suddenly shook as his senses alerted him to get away from the area!!
BOOM!
The slender one leaped away from the spot, which was the right move. Because right now, there were about 20 sharp rock sticks launching up from the ground around Mona Lisa. Those rocks were meant to attack anyone who came near her, and they almost pierced holes in Wisana’s body.
“What the hell was that!”
“Solid Drive, Master. It’s an earth magic attack. And it’s confirmed that the enemy’s somewhere in the range of 50 meters!”
Jinnie shouted when Wisana’s feet touched the ground again.
And then, the ground started quaking so strongly again that even Wisana lost balance and fell to his knees on the ground. His eyes were looking around the place and still not seeing anything. Where exactly was the golem?!!
“I’ve detected it now, Master. At the waterfall!”
“What?”
Wisana shouted with a shocked face. His amber eyes looked at the waterfall in the other direction. And that was when a massive rock appeared through the water.
The water splashed out all over the area as a big blue round eye glowed brightly from the waterfall. Its arms were hanging to the sides of the waterfall like a handle to pull itself out of there.
Its big feet which were made of solid rocks stomped the ground heavily, almost making his slim body bounce up with the vibrations.
Its 10-meter-tall body was towering in front of him. The body was made of rock. There was a shiny gold armband on each side of its arms. The hands and feet were made of real gold. And its only eye was staring at Wisana.
“Enemy.”
The dry, raspy low voice growled from the rock’s throat.
Wisana narrowed his eyes at the monster in front of him consideringly. And then, he gasped.
Okay. He had fought a couple of golems before. But this one was remarkably huge, had gold limbs, and it talked!
He remembered that Waree once said...
‘Stay away from monsters that can talk. These are not the types you want to mess with.”
And yeah, her words were still engraved in his memory so well.
Right now, he was facing a talking monster. Plus, it was a talking monster boss as well.
“I’m so, so screwed.”
He whispered as he almost drew back away, because of the height difference between them that made him tilt his head all the way backward to look at this golem.
“Enemy.”
The golem repeated the same word, making the listener look left and right anxiously.
He was anxious about his daughter who was surrounded by those sharp rock sticks on the other side.
“You got to repeat that, huh? Yeah, I am your enemy.”
Wisana spoke softly, while his eyes were studying the enemy carefully.
This battle was going to be an absolute pain!
Without hesitation, the golem drew its hand up before Wisana could even think of what to do. A second later, that massive fist was thrown down at the spot where he was standing with full force, breaking the ground there into pieces.
He had to jump his slim body in the water to dodge it. He was soaked, but his eyes were still staring at the enemy threateningly. Meanwhile, the golem slowly searched for its enemy, before that enormous body started moving hulkingly toward him.
“You really went right into it, huh, dumb rock.”
Wisana cursed, before holding up something for the golem to see.
And as if the huge guy hit a brake paddle. Its massive hands froze still.
“That’s right, big guy. Because I’ll blow it up if you come any closer.”
After speaking, a fire blazed up on Wisana’s hand that was holding the crystal. The green Cure Stone was now surrounded by a bright red flame!
“Now, can you calm down, big guy?”
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
The big guy blustered out in a low, deep voice. Its big mouth was opened wide as a strong wind blew out of it against his slender body, ruffing in his glossy black hair.
The owner of a pretty face blinked, before sniffing and shaking his face harshly.
“I can bear with the voice, but you need to fix the smell, big bro.” He shook his head again. “And you didn’t have to threaten me like that. I’m already used to the furious acts. I’ve seen countless of the scarier ones before.”
He said, before looking at the hill where he told Jeng to stand by. And of course, that guy had not gotten there yet. Wisana clicked his tongue out of dissatisfaction.
If he were Tunwa, he would have been there for a long time.
Could he really count on this guy?!
“You probably know what I want from you, right?”
Wisana said in a gentle voice. He turned back to the golem again, trying to get its attention as long as he could.
The golem seemed to understand human language because it glanced at the little girl who was sleeping with its poisoned dust’s effect.
“Hostage.”
It growled into a word. Wisana curled up a big smile after hearing that,
“Yes, I want that kid back. And you want this rock back, too, don’t you?”
He moved the Cure Stone around like a treat he was teasing a dog with. After that, the golem glanced at Mona Lisa consideringly. Because at first, it lured the enemy out here just to kill them off.
It did not expect that the enemy would bring the stone to trade with the hostage like this.
But considering the situation here, it started to think that doing this instead was a lot easier.
Plus, this slim woman could dodge its attack from a while ago so surprisingly easily.
“Must trade!”
The monster whined in a deep, low voice that made Wisana let out a sigh of relief.
It was baited.
“Cool. Let’s trade to get it over with. You came all the way here to Vanilia for this stone, didn’t you? And I just want my daughter back. See? We all can be happy again.”
He said with a cheeky face, then started tiptoeing closer to his daughter.
But that was the moment the golem leaned its face in to bluster at Wisana loudly!
“Back off!!”
The one who just got screamed at did not freeze or jump, even though his hair waved back with its breath again.
“Alright, alright, I’m backing off. You hold that kid to me then, so we can do this quid pro quo thing.” He put his hands up in the air like he was surrendering, while he was stepping away from the monster. “You sure are being paranoid, dumb rock. But again, I have to tell you that you urgently need to fix your bad breath. You’ve been eating toilets or what?”
Wisana kept on talking with a smiley face, while he was walking backward to the waterfall hill. Without the golem realizing, he was drawing this monster in a disaster smartly.
Not waiting any longer, the golem picked Mona Lisa up by using two fingers to pinch the back of her shirt collar like a mother cat picking its kitten up. Wisana looked at it, before glancing above his head sneakily.
And then, he finally saw a blurry shadow of Jeng standing by up there.
A cute smile appeared on his pretty face.
